Smile Hey Cath

You must've just missed them.

They're filming in North Sydney near Mona Vale.

Both Bob and Jillian have been seen at fitness first gyms. I haven't seen them, I've just heard.

Must be nice to be in Australia...Was the last show in that country ? I though it was in the US? Sorry...i onlystarted to watch that show later on. Even my little 9 years old likes it. Not that she needs to loose any weight...she is the size of a 6 years old. I had my hair done last weekend...lucky enough my mother is a hairdresser so i never have to color my hair myself...I will put a picture up soon...hope your hair turns out like you want...you will look super duper good...since it is how you feel about yourself. You work hard...enjoy the momment and the compliments.

angel-eyes You must be so excited about the inlaws seeing the new you. I would love to lose 30 pounds. I've lost 10 but have along way to go. It sounds like the holidays are getting the best of all of us. I've been so sick and have not worked out for 3 days. I'm so afraid I'm going to gain some of my weight lost back. I would be crushed if that happened. I've worked so hard and now I'm so sick I don't have any a little bit of energy needed to workout.

Hopefully this cold will go away in another day or two. I can't go on not working out much longer. Have a wonderful night everyone. Talk to you all later.

Ha!
Well it is when its not a million degrees!!!! Im on leave in QLD with my family at the moment and is boiling hot! Even the air from the fan is disgustingly warm.

I went to all the gyms in town today (remote redneck Gympie) and they were all closed
What's a girl to do! Just have to wait til after the sun goes down to go out for a run, too bloody hot in the middle of the day!

I have to agree, its stinking hot here at the moment, I'd hate to be north of Sydney, it would be worse than here in Canberra, and thats bad enough. I saw the first ads for BL today and it looks good. I was surprised at how pretty everyone looked tho. I guess I would have been wasting my time trying to get on the show, I'm not as pretty as that. But I'm going to use the show, (on 5 nights a week) to really work my butt off. Tummy actually...rofl.

Thanks a bunch Navy, you'll be happy to know that I just got back from the gym having completed Day 1, Week 1 of Jillian's workout. Better late than never.

Moonlight, you are right the first two series that you saw would have been the US ones. The UK has already had one series but they chose to go with UK trainers. The first Aussie version has just started filming and we imported the US trainers because we follow America around like little lost sheep. Obviously it's good thing in this case because Jillian and Bob are great.

Kathy, tell me about it. I hope the contestants can all stand the heat. I love it myself. Must be the Queenslander in me.

Oz - I just re-started my Jillian workouts (though not the book ones, the DVD ones) so we can both be a "little behind" the others. I'd like to have a "little behind", actually.

I'm so proud of myself, if you all don't mind me tooting my own horn. My best friend was in town for just the night and we had dinner together at her favorite restaurant here - Dos Coyotes. It's great mexican food that has no lard or msg in it. Anyway, I almost always order a burrito which is HUGE there, and eat the whole thing smothered in ranchero sauce, sour cream and guacamole. When I looked up similar calorie values in other food, I almost had a heart attack when I realized that one burrito alone could be 1500 calories! Again, it's no wonder I've been steadily gaining weight for 15 years.

My victory for myself was that before we went, I figured out for my calorie intake for today (between 1200 and 1300 was my goal) that I could have one shrimp taco and the side of chips that come with it, plus a diet soda. And let me just say i actually ordered that, ate it, and was satisifed! For once I followed through with my plan, didn't feel cheated, enjoyed the food, and feel really accomplished! Yay me! I give myself a dancing carrot for that one.

So that is my little victory for today, I just wanted to share me being in a GOOD mood with you all, since you've had to put up with my bad ones so often.

Hello ladies. I am right there with you too. I am on day 3 today (rest day) and boy did I need it. I am so sore, but I feel like I will be up to working out the front side again tomorrow.

SmartButt- Way to go on making great food choices at the Mexican restaurant. That is my favorite kind of food and I would have had a hard time doing what you did. Congrats!

Oz- Way to go getting that first workout in. It must be weird having the gang right there in Australia. It's hot in Texas right now too, so I feel your pain.

teacherlady- I teach Kindergarten. I have to go back to work on Jan. 2. It's going to be hard to squeeze these workouts in and work/raise a family at the same time. Any suggestions?

How long does it take to start losing weight with this program? I was hoping for a whoosh, but I know my muscles are holding onto that water right now. I've been squeaky clean with my eating. I'm also a balanced oxidizer.

You go, smartbutt!!! Dos Coyotes is good - I like the fish tacos...

Shaunarae - I'm the wrong person to ask how long it takes to lose weight...squeaky clean is not a term I would use to describe my eating

teacherlady - hope you are feeling better!

Everyone else: y'all are working hard - good for you - keep up the workouts so you can bi!ch about them with me!

I'm going to start Week 1 Day 1 again tomorrow. I'm finding the resistance stuff that my trainer gave me isn't challenging enough! So I'm going to do Jillians workout. I've got 3 weeks with unlimited time to work out...woohoo.

Can you tell I'm addicted to the gym?
