Daisy you were suppose to fall for my fabulous deflection.

Anyway it was totally dumb of them to advertise that the show was going to be the finally. I knew it wasn't going to be because of how many episodes there were left though. The really crap thing is that the finally will show in the US 3 or 4 days before it shows here, that means if we want to experience the suspense we have to implement media blackout for that period of time. That's near impossible.

Alright I'll put in some effort today and try and finish Jillian's book. Reading reading, I hate it. But my motivation is to get rid of that darn book worm, I think I hate him more.

Default sacratomato

My hood is just outside the William Land Park area. Or near the zoo may be a better way to put it. Although not IN the zoo, just for clarification.

I was actually looking forward to exercising today but I really feel like I'm coming down with something. Two family members brought their bugs with them yesterday so I'm sure they've passed something on. Arrrr.

We'll have to get together for walking or something when it stops raining...I'm pretty close - Tahoe Park over by the Med Center. Thrilling to everyone else - I'm sure!

Oz - I won't know it's you without the worm...

Oz....You may be the "teflon queen" but I still have my rolling pin in my little hot hands!!! Don't make me track you down GF!!! lol.....

I'm really bummed about not hitting the gym today. Turns out they are open, but without daycare services. My days will be jumbled, but the same number of workouts will be done. I will just go in tommorow (instead of my rest day) and complete my week 4. hmmpff....not impressed. On Monday, I have the lucky fortune of having a cracked tooth capped!!! I'M SO EXCITED!!!....NOT!!! Dh has been away and can I say?....MY BOYS ARE DRIVING ME CRAZY!!! My oldest (12yo) is grounded and after about 1.5 week of grounding.....has taken to terrorizing his brother. Nice when you consider I have a cold, a cough and a headache the size of mountain!!! arggg....help me Calgon!!!....take me away......

Default its the small things

I tried Jillian's "front" workout video, this time MUCH modified toward my abilities. I was able to do about 15 mins this time before completely collapsing. I think the entire video is a 20 minute workout, so I'm getting there. I know in her book she recommends an hour a day but I know I'd burn out within a week if I tried that. We actually have an exercise room and I can't wait until its finished being painted. We have an elliptical/precor thing, a treadmill, a weight bench with a lat pull down bar, exercise mats, and a bunch of dumbells. Not to mention the stereo system I put out there. You would think after all that money spent my bf and I would be out there a bit more often! *sigh* I've just been doing the videos inside the house until it's finished.

Chick - we're in "hollywood park" which isn't terribly far, but on the opposite side of land park from you I think. Land park is awesome for walking, maybe we can figure out a cool schedule and meet up for walking. Lord knows its way too dark after work to do that alone, now.

I walk after dark all the time - but I have the benefit of an extremely loyal 85 lb Doberman....to look at him you would never know he is a sweetie. Maybe a weekend is easier...I'll PM you when I have a better idea what next weekend is looking like.

Angel eyes....sorry about the tooth!! And the munchkins of terror...and the cold...dang, girl - hope next week goes better!!

Smile YeeHaa

You can go and put your rolling pins away because I have finished the book. Yippeee. Also got rid of the slimy green worm as you can see so now you have to look at my chubby cheeks until I can get some skinnier ones.

May start the implementation tomorrow, might as well, it's Monday, good day to start. What on earth am I going to have for breakfast... crikey, I'd better go and think about that.

Oh you'd better not put the rolling pins in in storage, just keep them where you know they are, we may be needing them.

Thumbs up

I must be serious I've even got myself a little ticker thing.

No rolling pins required yet today, I gotta say though this counting calories and carbs etc is very tiring.

Default Oz - yer a hottie!!

I guess it was time for the worm to go...I have a couple rolling pins ready to wave at a moments notice. Have you got a fitday account? It really helps with the calorie counting and the percentages of carbs/protein/fat...the wonders of pie charts. What kind of oxidizer are you? I'm a balanced oxidizer (thank goodness - 'cause the other ways look like a lot more work)...breakfast lately has been either yougurt & kashi bar, oatmeal with chopped apple tossed in, or cottage cheese with fruit. I'm pretty lazy about breakfast - it has to be something fast...but the main thing I've had to change is to get more protein in. Now- if I can just get my calorie counts down below maintenance levels...

Smartbutt - 15 minutes of Jillian video is pretty durned good! You go, girl!!

Hey Oz - I totally get it with the counting calories thing. For some reason it stresses me out. I get over-obsessed with sticking to a certain number, or I just get bored with it. It has undone me a few times in my attempts to lose weight. I signed up a few weeks ago with dietpower and I really love it. It puts the foods you eat often at the top and it only takes me 5 minutes a day, tops, to enter everything. It also breaks things down and gives you a "grade" on how nutritous your food is. So, since you just finished the book, are you just now starting the exercise? I selfishly hope so, because I am. It would be nice to not be the only girl in week one while everyone else is on week 5.

Smile Boy oh boy

Well Chickie I am a balanced oxidiser too and also even though I've only done day one the hardest part was getting enough protein. I always knew protein was important and have always purposely made sure their was protein in my meals. I have until yesterday never sat down and crunched the numbers properly and surprise surprise I wasn't getting enough protein. No wonder I would get hungry... doh!

So that makes me think that all those low carb diets that are out there really aren't low carb diets after all they're just make sure you eat enough protein diets. I love learning things, I love it!

Thanks Chickie and HappyDaisy for those links, I'm checking them both out and they've been very helpful.

And Happy Daisy it's me and you kid! Week One exercise here we come!

Bugger, so many good smilie opportunities and my smilies aren't working. Maybe I'll come back later and edit them in.

Oz - in case you haven't already seen the sticky announcement by Suzanne 3FC - do a hard refresh of your browser (Ctrl + F5) and that should fix your smilie issue
