It's going to be filmed but there is a large group of people going on the same day so I'll have to shine.. but don't worry I have every intention of doing so. My life is changing right now and I'm not letting anything stand in my way.

Of course I'll mention I post on this forum, surely I'll get special treatment.

I have TOM, (anyone want him next? ) and I have been snacking!! I don't know whats going on. ....yesterday I was bored and snacking too much....so I went to Kohl's for their 80% off clearance. I found some ADORABLE skirts and tops ranging from $2.00 -$5.00. I had a blast trying on some 14's !!! woohooo..... can't believe it anyways, I came home and promptly had a candy bar. Old habits die hard....I guess I thought that I had 'earned' it somehow. Now that made me mad.!!! I journaled it but it really pissed me off. I had gone to the gym and worked damn hard on the treadmill for a 760 calorie burn just to throw it away with a 300 calorie choc. bar!!! TOTAL WASTE OF TIME AND EFFORT!!! I still evened out with 1547 calories for the day, but?? TODAY IS A NEW DAY....and I'm feeling better. Just moving on to a better frame of mind. Sometimes I can justify almost anything. Today I'm wearing a really nice sweater that I'm embarrassed to say I've never even worn. I bought it about 5 years ago.....and it never fit...BUT IT DOES NOW!!! So thats my reminder today to eat OP and to think positive thoughts.

Man, the past few weeks have been killin' me!

I started a new job that I hated from day 1. It was good money so I kept it, hoping every day it would get better. But after 3 weeks I was just so intensely miserable (and stress eating fast-food every day) that I quit. Luckily I have something else lined up that I start on Tuesday. From what I understand, the system and routine will be exactly what I'm used to, so I should be able to kick the damn burger and fries monster in the butt.

I also stopped taking Depo shots last month, and it seems my body is finally realizing it. I had horrible PMS cravings and mood swings (didn't help the new job attitude) and yucky cramps that made me not want to even move. Even mister midol couldn't help me out of these! I have endometriosis so it sucks to go back to a regular TOM. But, enough *****ing...

I got a new Polar heart rate monitor as a late xmas gift and tried it out today. It was fun! I liked seeing how I was doing and it was amazing how after a while on the treadmill, that I could get off and do some of Jillian's exercises and my heart rate did NOT go down! The proof is in the pudding, as they say. My workout wasn't long, as I haven't been steady about it so I was out of breath and about to die just 25 minutes into it, but I was very disappointed that the watch said I'd only burned 60 calories. Then I realized I never changed the default user settings to my own. Turns out the default user is a 4 foot tall, 80 pound 5 year old. Go figure! (And no, I'm not joking!) So I think it's safe to say I burned more calories than a 5 year old.

I also decided to up my calories. Perhaps I didn't give it enough time, but eating 1200 calories a day for nearly two weeks didn't make me lose any weight at all! Perhaps my body thinks 1200 is starvation mode. So I've upped myself to 1400 or so and we'll see how that works.

I'm glad to hear everyone is doing well. Is there any way for us yankees to view Australia's Biggest Loser show? I'm going to complain to my satellite dish company

Aus Biggest Loser is on Free to Air tv here, so I have a feeling that you wont find it on pay tv over there. I could be wrong tho.

Smartbutt.....Good for you to realize that no job is worth being miserable over!! Nice to know that you already have another job lined up....good people are never out of work for long. hehe....I was laughing about your HRM.....my 12yo son had to program mine!!! haha .....couldn't for the life of me figure it out. Yup, I would think your workout was MORE than a 5yo could do!!! Keep at it GF!!!

You can keep TOM for youself.

Angel-eyes, I am so the same as you. I have a closet full of close that I've bought that I thought.. OOoo I love that but it would look way better on me in a size 10. So I buy it and store it. Stupid! Anyway to be fitting in them is awesome.
