Flyby here -
Eny - hear you!! THAT'S why I need a getaway!! Mod - I want to come to the states. Haven't been there for over 2 years.Good to have your passports in order - never know when you may want them. Debbie - re: snoring - my mother has suffered from very loud snoring since she was 20, and would wake up people form the next room and herself! This year - she tried those "breathe easy" strips - you know, like bandaids with a twist - and she sleeps the WHOLE night, NO SNORING. Highly recommended. She buys them off ebay - much cheaper!! |
Hi team,
I hope everyone is having a great week. I'm on the computer at work right now trying to catch up on the posts. My computer at home has been freezing up on me sometimes and it's so annoying. The weather here is getting so cold. Everybody I know is sick. I've been pretty good with my food, but have been slacking on exercising. That's gotta change real soon. Blueyedlvrgirl - congrats on being the biggest loser this week. Glad to hear your grandpa got great news. It must be a relief to your family. Raindancer - Sorry you don't feel well right now. Take it easy, get as much rest as you can and do baby steps. I can feel your pain. Retiredone - Congrats on the size 10-12 clothes. The one thing I'm looking forward to is cleaning out my closet and getting rid of all my big clothes forever. I can't wait. Have a good day. Teri. |
Happy Friday Ladies!!
Anybody got great plans for the weekend? |
dkneec19, it's not the candy that gets to me at Halloween, it's the chips. I can hardly pass by the box without consuming 3 or 4 of those little bags. The candy could be here for months and I might have one and I might not. I guess the trick is not to buy them until the last minute but then you might miss out on a good sale. I find that everyone has treats around the workplace at this time of year and it's only going to get worse between now and Christmas. We should have a treat free holiday made mandatory every few months.

Hey girls - just a quick check in this morning. After I posted last night, I had a mini-break down to hubby about being overwhelmed. I think he's seeing that I need some additional support.. not so much $, but TIME! I hate spending all the time I have w/ my family doing chores!
Speaking of chores - I'm completely on plan for the week - and have gotten my "chores" done every day! I have to find the 30 mins a day for me - otherwise I'd go insane. Although sometimes I feel guilty because I could be spending those 30 mins with my family... but I'd probably waste them on something stupid like dishes or laundry! ;) Also Happy to report a #3.4 loss for RED TEAM this week! I HAD to make up for last week's TOM invasion of a #3 GAIN! So I'm back under that, and down a little extra! It's good to be back under the challenge start weight! :D Ok I have a TON of work to do! So I'll check in with you all later! I need a break!!!!! |
Good morning ladies~ Well it's raining here and supposed to do so all day long. This weather is not good for my little guy who has breathing problems. He is hooked up to his breathing machine everyday. I feel awful for him. The kids get out of school early today. Good day to come home and relax though. I went out shopping with my MIL last night. I bought a new comforter set for my room. My room is driving me crazy. It is the only room left in the house left to do, and I'm ready to get on it. I found something that both Kev and I really like, so that was a bonus. I really want a new bedroom set, but that won't be happening anytime soon, so a new spread and some paint will spruce it up for now. I also got some more Christmas shopping done. I'm so excited that my kids are almost done. That always makes me feel good. Last year my oldest wanted a Wii, and I swear that was the most stressful thing ever to get. One of my husbands customers actually bid on e-bay for one and sent it to us. Glad he doesn't want anything crazy like that this year. We bought him Rock Band for it though, and I'm glad I have that already. It always seems like one of my kids wants something that is always impossible to find:) Today I'm going to do Shred...I better send up a prayer that Jillian doesn't kill me!LOL! Hope you all have a fantastic weekend~
Enygirl- First off congrats on the loss...that is fantastic! I don't think 30 min. of you time a day is anything to feel guilty about. I don't know about you, but if I don't get that "me" time I'm no good to my family because I'm a complete crab! Great job on getting all your "chores" done! Have a great weekend~ dekneec19- I heard reports of snow flurries...I'm choosing to block that nasty word snow out!LOL! I was at Target again last night...I may need a 12 step program for my addiction to that place;) MonteCristo- Just getting together with the grandparents for the boys b-day Sunday, but other then that nada...how about you? Teri- I get violent when my computer freezes up. I hate it especially when your in the middle of looking for something:) |
Raindancer- Getting sick has only one plus to me...not being able to do housework:) Enjoy your time and rest as much as possible!
miriam101- I hope you get a little time to yourself soon...you deserve it! Lisa- Ahhh a cold rainy weekend to be coming to Chicago...hopefully the weather will clear a bit for ya:) Debbie- Sleeping with a someone who snores is awful. My husband snores and some nights I want to put the pillow over his head and smother him!LOL! For real though my MIL had to move to a different room because my FIL kept her up all night. Now he sleeps with this mask on that helps the snoring, but the machine itself keeps my MIL up, so she is still in her own room! Hope you start getting some sleep though, and hopefully with sleep everything else will start falling back into place. I know personally if I'm sleep deprived I'm pretty much useless!LOL! Mindy- Good luck with WI...let us know how you did~ modcat44- I'll take a little warm weather right about now. I hope Joey does well on his report card. The only grade I'm worried about it Social Studies...I'm kinda prepared though that it's not going to be what I want! Mandey- Well at least there getting some things fixed around the house for you...that would make me insane though having someone inspect my house. I cleaned for a month straight when my grandma was coming to watch my kids for a week!LOL! |
Good Morning Team!
I am sick as a dog. Worst cold ever plus my allergies = Cat can't breathe!!! I am somehow making it through this though. I worked for 3 1/2 hours yesterday, still got my kids to their sport practices, made dinner and then went to adult swim team. I don't know what I was thinking but I felt ok when I was there. This morning I feel like death warmed over. DS has swimming this morning, and I am going to just walk for 30-45 minutes after his class to give me some cardio. I really don't think I can run today but who knows. Stranger things have happened :) I am down another pound and I have entered the 180s!!! Goodbye 190s forever I hope! It's so funny how part of this is mental because as soon as I saw that number I was in a good mood. I will be so happy if I can just stay at 189 until weigh in on Monday. I hope you all have a great weekend! We don't have much planned but I am going to beat this cold into submission if nothing else! |
WTG on hitting the 180s Cat! Sorry you're sick, hope you feel better soon.

cakses--:getwell: I know, so many around here are sick as well--I really really hope to not get sick as I am back in the zone with my eating and exercising. :crossed:
Eny--anyone who's off work has got to do more (most) of the household chores--that's just a rule. I mean, at least basic ones, like laundry, picking up, dishes, go to the store, get dinner started most nights. Hub should know that. They just need a reminder sometimes, I guess. :rollpin: Tina--cold and rainy, yuck! Glad I went home last week-end! ;) dkneec--I just buy the candy the day before or day of, then I give the leftovers to hub to take to work--instantly gone! However, this doesn't work as well when trick-or-treat is on a Friday or Saturday! This year I will give the rest to someone quick--like maybe my neighbors or friends who have kids. Of course, they will already have a ton. Maybe I'll take it to the family shelter here--yeah that's a good idea!.......:chin: chinacat--get rid of some as you go along--I've already cleared out my closet twice--got rid of the XXL and the XL, the 18's, the 16's, most of the 14's. I can't wait to get rid of some more! miriam--have fun on your trip (whenever you do get to go!) Will you still be able to log on? Armywife--Whew! Betcha glad that's over! Now go hike in the mud with your girl scouts :D Monte--going to take the dogs to the beach today with hub, grill out porkchops tonight, and look at fireplace inserts tomorrow...... Have a good day everyone! |
cakses- Feel better hun! Congrats on making it into the 180's:)

I almost don't want to post since I am in such a downer kind of mood. Weigh-in at work stunk. I stayed the same, even tough I was down .8 from last week. I am SO tired of working my a** off for the slowest weight loss in history. It gets old. I just want to rest from it all. Anyone else ever feel like that? Now, I know I won't quit, or give up, I just feel like it. I think the 190's are sticking their tongue out at me and taunting me, BAD!!
Modcat- Beaches and grilling. Sounds divine. Eny- Good job getting back in the saddle and losing some pounds to boot. Army- Have fun with the girlies. Cakses- Sorry you are sick. I'm afraid I might be getting a little something. I hope not. Tina- Rain here in Mich. too. I'll be doing Jillian tonight and cussing her out the whole time. Retire- It's the cookies and cupcakes that are my downfall. So far, so good. God help me Friday at our class party. Must go do chores. Household, pet and workout chores. See ya later. |
Mindy- I know it can be super frustrating at times...I've wanted to give up many times and actually have for short periods of time. The thing is when I give up I always back slide and end up doing more damage, so when I start back up I have more weight to loose then before not to mention my endurance is back to nearly nothing. Just hang in there...it will happen. Even though the scale may not be reflecting what you want to see how are the clothes feeling, how is your energy level...those things honestly tell me more then the number staring back at me from the scale! Having said all that I know it stinks, but just keep doing what your doing and the scale will reflect it for you eventually! (((Hugs)))) Hang tight girl your worth it:)

Ps Mindy I did Jillian today and wanted to punch her!LOL! I have to say though it was easier then the first time I did it, and I feel great for doing it!
