GOOD AFTERNOON RED TEAM! I have a NSV to report - yesterday i posted a personal best in the poland springs marathon kick off 5 mile race- all 5 miles in less than an hour! granted it was only 12 second less - yes i ran in it in 59:48 but whoo hoo i am stoked and down a pound this week! yay for all our losers this week! feels good to be back!

Tina30 10-27-2008 01:47 PM

Mandey- I love our Wii. I personally love bowling and baseball. Boxing is a lot of fun though also, and it works ya out...especially if you playing with a 12 yr old son:)LOL! I told my husband I wanted Wii Fit for Christmas though...that looks so fun! Over the weekend we bought Mario Kart with the wheels...OMG that is a blast. My 61/2 yr old girl kicks my butt though and loves every second of it!LOL! Wii is a great invention though...hope it all goes through for ya~

Vanetta- Did you have a blast or what on that trip? It sounds like pure heaven!

Crown- Congrats on your race...that is so cool!

cakses 10-27-2008 01:52 PM

Congrats Crown. I can't even run 5 miles so I am always amazed at the longer races. I'm still trying to get a 5k done. I am sure I can do it now I just haven't had a chance to try. Maybe after I kick this cold I will go out for a lovely 3.1 mile stroll, then work up to more :) How long have you been running?

Oh Mandey that would be awesome if you could trade. Dh won't be mad will he? LOL. We have a Wii and a PS3 and my DH has been hinting at a 360 and I was like no we have enough already! LOL.

DH just HAD to have the 360 when he got home from this last deployment, so we got one for him, and all kinds of games and accessories (incluing a pink controller for me) :) but he told me a few days ago when he called me from NTC that he'd been thinking about it and hasnt had the time to really play it...and he leaves again for iraq deployment #3 in less tha 3 months....so he said i could sell it and the gamecube we have (we traded our bunkbeds with a neighbor to get that)...so i can either sell for cash or trade for the wii i want so bad. and DD loves playing the wii at my neighbor's house. so she is already figuring it out lately. I have a long wishlist of games i want on amazon.com so i can keep tack of them all ;) LOL

Me too. I'm guessin' he's a soldier since the email he gave me to reply to was his AKO email addy (the one the soldiers use for army related things)....so it'll be nice having something we can all play. most of our GC and 360 games are all one player. and this will get everyone up and moving, so it'll be great workout for everyone ;) I so want the wii fit. my friend has one and said i could try hers out sometime ;) and she wants the jillian game, but she's not familiar with jillian, so it would be interesting to see her try it :) LOL

I know Hasbro is coming out with a game soon that is for family game nights - has games like battleship, connect 4, sorry, and stuff like that. would be great for the neighborhood game nights we used to have, and will give me my game system fix since we wont have the 360 and it's Scene It? game anymore (which we all truely love). But have seen lots of other game party games i want for that reason ;) but will work on getting more controllers soon. ;)

Tina30 10-27-2008 02:14 PM

cakses- My son has ps2 and wants ps3 I said and next year they'll have ps4 and you'll want that!LOL! It's like a never ending cycle with the game systems...the things aren't cheap though so I put the kabosh on ps3 for now. I told him we need to enjoy the Wii for a bit!LOL!

Tina30 10-27-2008 02:18 PM

Mandey- Ohhh I would love the Hasbro games...I'm a sorry addict!LOL! We have Carnival Games...that is a blast..ski ball, balloon darts, dunk tanks, ring toss...you get the picture!LOL! Total blast though and so fun to play with the kids! I have to say on Wii sports there is a little Fit test you can do that I never knew about so the other night my oldest son and I did it. It said my Wii age was 71 I wanted to die...I felt better though after my 12 yr. old did it and was 65!LOL!

Enygirl 10-27-2008 02:30 PM

cakses - we have a 360 & a PS3.. and I'm getting a Wii for Christmas - for the sole purpose of Jillian's game and Wii fit. :) We got the PS3 for the blueray capabilities, and the 360 for gaming... well at least that's the story I tell. ;)

Crown - WHAT AN AWESOME RUN!!! Congrats on that and the #1 down! :woohoo:

crazy4weightloss 10-27-2008 03:16 PM

hi guys. sorry i had to use a freebie this week. i was doing so good then we went to chicago for a hockey tournment and well it wasn't easy. i did exercise one day. I was 191 earlier this week but the scale says 194 right now:( I decided to use my freebie and get my butt back into gear.

MonteCristo 10-27-2008 03:57 PM

I just had a lovely NSV. I was up in the HR department this afternoon, and I ran into the asst HR manager (the one who contacted me about this job). She said that if I lost any more weight she'd have to tie a bell to me so she could find me. Utterly ridiculous as you can see by my stats, but very gratifying none the less. :woohoo:

Hey all you RED team losers!

The kids had a 3-day weekend and we just took off for a last chance camping trip. I actually got out and walked some trails with the kids(I use to just sit in my chair by the fire). The weather was great after we made it through Friday night. My eating wasn't perfect, but I'm down 1 pound. It was two pounds on Friday, which is my weigh in day, but I just re-weighed when we got home since I didn't get a chance to post before I left.

ArmyWife02 I'll have to check out that Hasbro game night game for Wii. I hope you can make your trade. Wii is awesome! I've never did the boxing on the sports game, but I LOVE the boxing on the Wii Fit.

MonteCristo That must have felt sooo good...I can't wait till I lose enough for people to start noticing.

crazy4weightloss Does someone in your family play hockey?

Enygirl Can you really tell a difference in the blueray discs?

You are right, Tina30. There will always be a new and improved game system coming out. My DS said nintendo would be releasing a new ds soon. I'm sure he was making sure I got the hint! We all love the Wii fit. That'll be a great present for your entire family. And I agree, bowling is so much fun. And thank you for the new challenge thread. I need to go and update last weeks and post a new one.

cakses I hope your cold flies south for the winter and you feel better soon!

crownshape A 5K! That is WONDERFUL! I am so jealous. Yay for you! Way to Go!

Vanetta I don't know what happened. I remember you posting about your cruise. I hope you had a great time. Aloha.

Way to Go on those pushups retiredone. You rock!

QOTD~ My biggest reason for losing weight is I want to be fit and strong, for me and for my family.

Enygirl 10-27-2008 05:41 PM

Kelliegh - OMG YES!!! The first one we watched was a Jodie Foster flick, and I literally could see the hairs on her upper lip! It's INSANE!!!

I know I missed posting my weight on 10/13 and 10/20 as I was at sea, but I guess I messed up on some other rule, that's the way things have been going this year.

No worries...best wishes and good luck to you all on the weight loss journey.

{{{{{{{{{{Vanetta}}}}}}}}}}}}} You can still Plurk with us!!!! There have been quite a few of us that have dropped out of this challenge. :(

ArmyWife02 10-27-2008 07:32 PM

well i just got an email from the guy (with the wii), and still wants to do the trade :) but i have to wait till Friday, since he's army and works a lot during the week. so at least i have reformated the hard drive and it's ready to go. so looks like i have to wait till the weekend to get my wii exercise on ;) lol well at least i'll have one soon enough ;) so after i gt my fnancial aid balance check i can buy the wii play game with remote and maybe another nunchuck....and another game for us to play. will keep looking for a good deal on the wii fit. :)

mtiger 10-27-2008 07:41 PM

You guys were busy today while I was at work. Well, my body is doing it's stupid ole trick again. I will gain mid-cycle, like my body is holding onto everything it's got. Then I will lose before TOM and lose after TOM. SO I am trying to roll with the punches and wait for it to come back off. Did I mention, I HATE THIS BODY?

Well no time for personals. I have got to go look up the new exercise challenge and then.... well, exercise.

Amanay- Don't worry about not being able to run as far, that just happens sometimes.

Retire- Thank you for some perspective. Losing a pound a week is GOOD progress.
