Hey girls, I'm sorry but I had to post a gain this week. I thought about using a freebie but I am one that wants to save it until it is necessary. I'm not happy about the gain, but considering I had a vacation trip to Arizona AND TOM started the day after I got back, I will be fine with only a 1 pound gain. The day TOM came I was actually up 4 or 5 pounds. EEEEEEK

I am bound and determined to get that weight off. I worked out for 2 hours straight yesterday and am thinking of doing the same tonight if my body will let me. I did one hour straight on the elliptical going between 130-145 strides/minute. My legs are sore today! I should go for a swim tonight...that's what I should do! We'll see once I get to the gym. I have now been going to the bigger 24 Hour Fitness here in town, the only thing I hate is that the lap pool is the smallest with only 2 lanes...probably due to the fact that the pool is on the 2nd level - no ground underneath...parking garage is on the 1st level.

Well I am off now. Hope everyone has had a good start to the week!

Evening all~
Sounds like everyone is doing good. :) I got in my walk and upper body strength done. I really feel good doing that. It's like the fog has lifted and everything is bright again. :sunny:
Reading about the Wii, my boys want one, but they've already got PS2 and a 360 plus their DS's and game boys. So I doubt it'll happen, course it does look like a cool gaming system and seeing Jillian doing a game or workout, don't know which, is tempting. ;)
Well I'm going to go make me some tea and get on my comfy jammies and read for a while.
QOTD: The reason I want to lose weight is that I just want to be healthy and trim again. I'm tired of carrying around this 'baby' weight as the baby is 10yrs old now!!

I did my circuit workout today and I thought I'd never get through. Some days I just fly through but today I was so tired before I was half through. My legs were so tired and tonight my knee is sore. I took a Motrin and it feels better now. The workout is 45 minutes and if I had to do 2 hours straight like Andi I'd have dropped dead today. (not really, but you know what I mean)

I wore my size 10 jeans tonight for the first time. My big jelly belly is in the way and pushes up in a big muffin top. Ugh. But I got them on and went and got my hair cut. That was my allowance reward for the exercise challenge. My SIL cuts my hair and the first thing she said was that I was falling away and what was I doing. I felt good about that. She's been dieting and going to PACE and hasn't lost much since April and she's really frustrated about it. She definitely looks smaller but she wants the scales to move.

Well, I am eagerly awaiting the results of tonight's weigh in. Hope as many people as possible weigh in. That will certainly give us a better chance to win this week. But anyone who is losing weight (even with an occasional setback) is a winner in my books.

Andi - it's ok. #1 after a vaca isn't so bad! You'll get it off again quickly!

retired - good job sticking with the workout! I know some days it's hard for me to do it too! Like today, I thought of a million things that I should be doing, but didn't - and I got my workout done!

Oh- and since I did all my "chores" last week my hair is now a nice deep mahogany brown.. :) it's actually really pretty! I'm happy!!! :D

retiredone--WTG on the size 10's! I can hardly wait until I can get back into mine! Right now mostly 12's and still some 14's.

Andi--I worked out nearly 2 hours on Saturday and could barely walk on Sunday! :D You did awesome! I have resolved to shoot for a 2-hour WO once/week, but I don't always do it straight. I'm generally pretty dead after my usual 1 hour WO's. I need to push it more!

Andi18 10-27-2008 11:38 PM

Well my body wouldn't let me go for the full 2 hours but I was able to get in 1.5 hours! My legs are killing me and they felt like Jell-O walking down the stairs at 24 Hour Fitness. I had a couple walking behind me and I was doing everything I could not to just flop down the stairs! LOL The girl walking behind me though said her legs were feeling the same way.

I forgot to update the allowance thread...I am going to get to that now. Have a good night everyone!

oh btw...for those looking into Jillian's game for the Wii...I was checking out the reviews earlier and I was seeing quite a few not too good ones. This may be one game I rent before I buy. We've never rented games for the Wii, but I think I may for this one.... I was reading reviews on Amazon, but didn't get to check out any others.

A reminder for those who may have not seen yet...Bob, Jillian and some of the season 5 peeps are going to be on Oprah Thursday.

jelynn 10-27-2008 11:52 PM

hey everyone...
so sorry I've been AWOL...I've had company for several days and a bit off track last week so not motivated to post much.
Trying to gear up to get back into this...so funny how it's such a mind game for me.
Off to catch up with you all and I'll be more chatty this week, promise!

ok i jsut did my 5 minutes of weights. i almost didnt do them, then saw how great everyone did today and i really need new jeans ;) plus i'm getting my wii this week and wanna feel like i've earned that too :) lol
so i looked at my chore list that is hanging above my laptop and got my 5 lb dumbbells outta the closet (that's 4 feet away from me, if that far) and sat on my ball here while reading posts and did my 5 minutes of weights. ouch my arms are gonna feel this tomorrow. but i DID it!! yeah me! need to go update the exercise thread.

I saw some ppl worked out for 1.5 hours and i thought, hey, if they can do over n hour, surely i can fit 5 minutes in ;)

Enygirl 10-28-2008 08:00 AM

andi - good job on the 1.5 hours!
Mandey - good job getting your "chores" done yesterday!
I got mine done yesterday too. :) I dropped a little mor eof the mysterious #2 gain from Sunday. I'm going to keep working at this! Jillian IS going to be the DEATH of me though!

crazy4weightloss 10-28-2008 08:28 AM

Kelliegh my 8 year old son plays hockey on a traveling team. We only have to travel 3 times a season but man it is work! My 5 yr old dd just started playing so I'm sure in no time we will have 2 hockey players traveling.

I am in such a funk this week.

MonteCristo 10-28-2008 09:03 AM

So far this week I'm doing well with my "chores". I really (really, really) want to get back into the exercise groove. Due to matters completely beyond my control, my life has been FILLED with stress for about a month, and it has really made me not care about exercise. However, it doesn't look like this is going to go away anytime soon, so I've just got to deal with it, and my first step is jumping back into exercise. So here's to a fresh new week (post dated yesterday, of course!) ;)

MonteCristo 10-28-2008 09:54 AM

Cat - Congrats on being the biggest loser! You are really doing a great job!!

ggmugsy 10-28-2008 10:25 AM

Congratulations cakses on be our biggest loser! 5 pounds, WOW!!!

Sounds like everybody is dong great! I logged all my points yesterday and stayed OP, but I didn't get any exercise. :( I'll do better today, evey if it's just 5 minutes like Mandey did yesterday!

BIG HUG to all!!

chiquita623 10-28-2008 10:42 AM

Good Morning Ladies. Just a quick flyby for now. Congrats to Cakes for being our biggest loser this week.

A question for all you Weight Watchers out there - I'm thinking of joining and wanted to know if you prefer the points plan or the core plan and why you like it. A friend asked me if I'd buddy up with her so am thinking seriously of checking it out tomorrow evening.

Thanks for the info. I'll try to get back on here later. Was off on vacation last week and am trying desperately to catch up and clean off the top of my desk. That'll be a big accomplishment in itself if I can get that done.

Have a good Tuesday everyone.
