Hi again everyone. Both the boss and the wife are gone for the rest of the afternoon so I plan on being on here for a little while. The weather is gorgeous today. I think it's suppossed to stay like that the rest of the week. Hopefully it will so I can start planting flowers. I always feel so much better after I work outside and get my hands dirty.

Not much new on this end, going to cook some chicken on the grill tonight and have some steamed veges with it. And probably some fruit. Then, after my food settles, I plan on doing the eliptical for a minimum of 45 minutes. I seem to have a problem keeping my heart rate under control when I listen to music so am trying some different stuff to see if that helps.

Anyway, just wanted to pop back on here. Have a wonderful evening and I'll be back either later today or for sure tomorrow.

Good Afternoon Ladies!

I had a few free minutes before I go to pick the hubby up from work so I wanted to stop in and say HI!

I wanted to share a few things just as "FYI" for all of you! This is for everyone, not just the new people here. I wanted to post something like this at the very very beginning of the challenge - but alas, dial up was not so friendly at my parents house...lol

First, and most importantly, this is a drama-free thread! This should be a place that you are able to come to get encouragement, share your struggles, and laugh and have a good time. So, please please please if you have any concerns or questions, please PM me or one of the other team leaders with it. Most of the time things can be worked out behind the scenes without having to bring entire teams into it.

As far as "personals" go (meaning when you address each and every person individually in your posts). Personals are great and they are a great way to make everyone feel included in the chat and to feel closer to your teammates. However, I want everyone to realize that sometimes all that a person has time to do is to check in and say "hey" to the team as a whole. So, please don't feel bad if you can't go thru and do personals to everyone. And please don't let this stop you from posting! We all understand what it's like to be busy. So, if all you can do is a "hey team, here's how I'm struggling, here's an NSV, have a great day" kind of post... then please do so! It's better to let us all know that you're here with the team as opposed to just "lurking". If you have time for personals, awesome!

For weigh-ins.... weigh-in deadlines are every monday night at 11:59 EST. But, you don't have to wait until Mondays' to post your weigh-in for that week. For instance, my "official" weigh-in days are on Saturday mornings. So after I weigh-in, I go ahead and come here and update my weigh-in. Also, I do ask that once you have updated your weigh-in for the week, please do not go back and re-edit it. I'll go through the weigh-in list everyday and update my "books" here at home with the weigh-ins. If you change it after I have already recorded it, chances are I won't notice it and your weight will stay the same as when I originally put it in the books.

On the same "weigh-in" note. When you post your weigh-in every week, all you have to do is edit your original weigh-in post in the weigh-in thread. You don't have to make a new weigh-in post every week.

I think that was all I wanted to touch on. If there's more - I'll add it later.

It looks like the turnout for this round is as good as it was last time... hopefully we can keep everyone fully engaged in it!

Ceegee- thank you for starting us on our first exercise challenge!!!!!!

sxulcmnky, good luck! I just started spinning two weeks ago. You will be sore tomorrow in a personal area you don't think should ever be sore. It was better the second time and my third class is tomorrow. It's definitely a work out! The good thing is you can work at your own level by using more or less resistence and same with speed. Let us know how it goes.

Hi everyone,
just dropping in to say Hi, i didn't get out to look for morels, still too cold today. Maybe this weekend, tomorrow is supposed to be warm, but I have too much to do. I'm going for lunch with a group of women from church, we are going to a restaurant where a young man recreated the Sistine Chapel ceiling on the ceiling of the restaurant, he did this all with spray paint and it is supposed to look beautiful. I't's also supposed to be a little expensive so I won't have to worry about eating too much. Here is the place

Good afternoon ladies,

Well I made a big mistake this afternoon and I'm paying for it now. I got talked into swimming before I did my afternoon exercises. Since I had the heart rate monitor on I decided I might as well swim laps for a bit, although at 15 mins I stopped myself. This left me just not at 100% when I got into the lifting stuff later on, although I did struggle through. Now though I'm so tired though, wiped out. I suspect it has more to do with the temperature changes (50F outside, 78F in the pool, back to 50F outside, 68F inside then the workout). Now I need a nap, but with only an hour before I finish off dinner I won't bother. Good thing that tonight's meal (pork vindaloo) is in the crock pot and all I have to do is cook some broccoli for it.

ggmugsy - inches changing are also quite good. I've started taking mine every 4 weeks since I'm hoping there will be some muscle gains from the strength training program I'm doing. I'll be going over the results on Sunday, but this last 4 weeks I haven't lost as much, but I've seen other changes, so that's good.

blueyedlvrgirl -

Laurie - are you consistent with your water? Although I sometimes see water gains with sore muscles, I notice that my wild swings are gone. I used to see a big change day to day until I picked an amount of water to drink each day and stick to it. Even the TOM swings don't seem so bad, although someone else told me it's likely more because of consistent exercise as well.

LondonJulz - I've been off dial-up for a very long time and would probably die if I had to go back. The last place I worked had dismally bad internet and even off hours (I worked afternoon shift) looking for anything online was brutal. It wouldn't have been so bad except customer/supplier sites had to be accessed. Glad you're back to a faster connection.

Bette k - hope you enjoy your lunch and find something good to eat. You're right though, most expensive restaurants stick to smaller portions (which is nice), although they can be a little on the rich side. Every once in a while it's not such a bad thing though.

lauralee21 - the problem with weight lost during illness is that it can be hard to keep off. In the meantime get plenty of rest, and fluids, and hope you're better soon.

Okay gals, I'm still beat. I need to get up and moving though so I'm not too sore later on. Hope everyone is having a good on plan day.
