Good morning Blue'ers!

Anna, thanks for asking ...work on Monday night was good. It was a long time to just stand there and I am not used to that (5 hours) I do have arthritis so I am a little worried that I wont be able to physically handle it but I am going to try! Other then the standing it was really good. The people were nice and easy to get along with. I work again tomorrow and friday night.

Ok, since we are posting pics of our fur babies, here is one of my kitty named Callie. She is just over a year old and I wub her.

So, here's the funny part...I'm very very afraid of big dogs, but Hubby and the girls have always wanted a big dog. I've spent the afternoon visiting Cesar Milan's site (The Dog Whisperer) and I've asked for his DVD's or books for Mother's Day. I have to learn how to be the pack leader. Hubby and the girls know that I am, but I need to teach this dog that I am, too. My other two dogs are under 5 pounds, so no worries there.
beautiful!!

I'm sure you will have no problems once he's bigger with the added help!

Bean used to be almost all black, but now there's not a speck of black fun on her!
lovely babies!!

Is there a thread for our team to do some daily exercises? there was a thread once where someone would type in an exercise for the next person to do. Then that person would type in an exercise for the next person to do and so on. And it's up to the person if they want to do ALL posted exercises.

He needs to work through is mixed feelings, which clearly will not happen overnight. But he cannot heal in the construct of your relationship until you can say, "These are the things that need to happen to make this work for everyone" and under those guidelines is where he will make his adjustments. You cannot let his 'mixed feelings' determine YOUR DESTINY. And for a full and healthy life and relationship, you cannot let PTSD rule your home. It is a fact of your marriage, but it is not good for anyone to let it be the center of your marriage.

I really hope you guys are getting help working through this TOGETHER.
Tawnya, I have to agree with Tee here. I can't imagine how hard it must be, but you have to take care of YOU as well.

Usually I go back to bed with my alarm set for 6 so I can get up to exercise.. but snooze is my friend and I find myself still hitting it every 7 minutes and it's after 8! Sooooo I am trying to learn to stay up from the time hubby leaves... I guess I can consider it extra me time, extra cleaning time.. since with teaching the oldest and working a bit with the younger ones and then playing mediator all day the house is usually a disaster! or I guess I could use it for extra exercise!

To all of you who have sick loved ones, I will keep you all in my thoughts (sorry, names are failing me right now).

It is time for me to go snuggle on the sofa with hubby for a bit before we go to bed for the night.
WOW. OK. So I get up at 4.30 and you are up at 4 exercising now??? Or are you just getting up w/your DH and exercising later? How do you do it??? and what time do you go to bed?

This is our black bear, he lives in the woods behind my house!

Ok, now for my real furbaby. Her name is Beana, she is about 10 years old. The best dog ever! We can leave her out early in the morning, go away for the whole day, come home late in the day and no messes.

I also have a red eared slider turtle, but no pics on the computer of him.
OMG that bear!!! love your doggie!

I've had a much better eating day today than yesterday. The potluck I was at had lots of healthy foods so I munched on fruit and veggies and banana bread for the most part. I'm just finally eating my supper right now at 9 pm so I don't think I'll be doing any late-night snacking with all these veggies in my stomach.

I went to my clinic run tonight and it went really well despite all the stressing I was doing. Last week I'd been totally intimidated by everyone looking like super fit runners, but tonight I was wearing my brand new much-needed running pants and my old running jacket I dug out of storage. How dorky am I that I felt better because my clothes fit in better?! During the lecture part I was sitting next to an "extra curvy" girl and I felt very comforted by knowing I wasn't the only one! The run went really well (4K in 35 minutes) and it was nice to run with my friend who is taking the clinic with me.

With her as my running buddy, you guys on here, and DH being fantastically supportive I think I've got one solid support system in place!
this is great Kim! great eating, great running! so proud of you!!

Oh my! He's never come down when we were cooking, or even when we were outside. I really think he's afraid of people, he was tagged as a nuscience (sp) bear for being in town and they brought him up here and dumped him off. Usually they don't stay where they are dumped, but for some reason he has.

Funny thing about ham... I was cooking ham steaks on the grill the other day and a huge ospray came flying by.. really close, I think he wanted to steal my ham!

So... it's morning for me... well already afternoon really, but we have two days off (Queen's Day and Labour Day/ Ascension Day) so I'm completely relaxed, still in my pajamas and catching up on 3FC

I hope you all have a great day!!!

We've been trying to plan our breakfast and lunch stuff on the weekends and things we can prep and portion before we do it so it is easier during the week. It might give you more time for yourself doing it this way.
haha.. I ended up falling back to sleep watching the news. Then I didn't get back up when my alarm went off... oh well time to teach the kids to leave mommy alone while she exercises.

As far as hubby's lunches, he packs up his food the night before. I always make extra dinner so he can have it for 2 breaks. All I really have to do is throw the containers, his cans of diet soda, and his bottles of frozen water into a lunch pail. Now breakfast.. that can be a different story. Usually he's happy with some sugary kids cereal, but other days he asks for eggs and toast.. so I make them. I also make extra waffles and pancakes every time I make them and throw them in the freezer, so we always have some "toaster waffles" on hand. I didn't used to do it, but I really don't mind taking care of him, after all he does allow me to stay at home and sit on the computer all day.. errrr raise the kids

Renee~~ Wanna borrow the bear? I just saw 3 deer in my yard, I'm not so sure they will co exist too well.. and I'd rather have the deer! It's the first I've seen them up here! They were having trouble with the population going too low on our mountain. A few years of no doe hunting must be helping.

Hi everyone.

I haven't read any of the posts since I was last on but just thought I would check in. I'm between sleeps right now. Had a nasty 84 hrs of insomnia that culminated in some interesting hallucinations. I just had 6 hrs sleep, woke up randomly, got something to eat, checked in, and now I think I'll go back to bed. Night... or morning... whatever.

Just a quick hello and thank you for all of your kind words and prayers. My BIL is still critical and the next few days are crucial. Most of my family has arrived and best of all....ERICA IS COMING HOME TODAY!!! She is being sent home on emergency leave for 2 weeks and her plane lands at 5pm. Erica's commander (or whatever you call the person in charge in the NAVY) was standing next to Erica when she got my message and he said he would help her make arrangements to get home quickly. He was flying back to the states today himself and was able to arrange for her to fly with him. I wish the circumstances for her coming home were different, but I am so grateful to finally see my daughter and grateful to the U.S. NAVY for helping her get home so quick.

Hope everyone is doing great on the challenge. I'm still OP, just not going to the gym. I know I need to stay healthy in order to help my sister, so I will definitely be sticking to my healthy diet. The exercise I will fit in when I can, but I'm not stressing about it.

Again, thanks for your friendship...it means so much to come on here and feel your support.

p.s. For those of you that mentioned dealing with your own family members who are ill, I am praying for them as well.

Good morning, Bluesers!

I have a confession....I'm a poser. I've not been 100% committed to this weight loss journey for quite a while. I managed to maintain my losses and I've stuck around 3FC and kept posting each day, but my committment has been non-existent. After much soul searching last night, I've decided to stop playing around and get serious again. No more making excuses for going off-plan and not exercising. Face it....life is hard! There is always some kind of stress in the life of a Mom/Wife/Daughter/Friend/Citizen. I can learn from these stressors or I can crawl into my hole (ie.comfort food) and pretend that everything is okay. I've decided to get real with myself. It's time to let my internal drill sergeant come out to play! I've tried the "just do something each week" thing and it just doesn't work for me. Just like when I quit smoking...cold turkey...I need to just jump in with both feet and get going.

Today's plan:
1) Every single calorie gets logged onto my spreadsheet. Today's calorie goal is 1600.
2) I will walk for one hour today...with or without Hubby.
3) I will be in bed by 11:00. My body/mind just doesn't function well on too little sleep.

I now have 5 days until my next weigh-in. I can't wait to see what this old body can really do when challenged.

Hope everyone has a great on-plan day. I'll check back in again later.

GO BLUE!

Lisa, I am so glad that you get to see your daughter. I know it's a difficult time, but I hope you get some quality moments with her.

Elizabeth, I hope you get caught up on your rest. Sleep deprivation is rough stuff.

Chellez.....We need an exercise challenge! Pretty please.

You're not a poser. You are just human. We all have to get to this point to do something. You are ready. You had the hard talk with yourself. You are committed NOW. That's most important!

Come on Rhonda, I KNOW you can do this!!!!!

Wednesday: Question of the Day

What would your Biggest Loser goal shirt say?

My shirt would say "To experience life to the fullest."
(Dee, you've answered this one for us in your signature, so maybe you can have two shirts!)
