My parents just moved to Virginia Beach, and my sister has lived there for years. I lived there with her for a year after college, and we plan on moving down there in maybe another 4 years or so. I definitely like that area MUCH more than northern VA, but the work I do is for government contractors, so finding work here near DC is much easier for me.

I noticed a few people were wondering about a fourth team since we have so many people. We only have 3 teams because of an arrangement with the 3FC's that allow all of us to moderate our own team threads and challenge stuff. So I can't just nominate a fourth team or anything. We usually lose over half of the challenge participants before the finale, so a fourth team is not necessary.

Please make sure you post your starting weight in the weigh in thread before the deadline! I know some people posted there's in the sign up thread and I can't use those numbers or numbers posted anywhere else! Thanks!
I know we lose a good deal of folks which make the threads more managable, but it makes me sad that we lose these people who felt they needed to lose the weight.

I posted my WI amount, now, just 20 lbs to Onederland.

I was wondering who is hoping to get to Onederland during this challange and how many pounds to get there? I thought we could help each other along with this big milestone.

If you don't mind my asking ... who do you work for? I work for Booz Allen Hamilton.

I can't believe it's already amost 1pm here. I've been working hard this morning. Not much to say at this point, but I do have to confess to falling off the "non-product" wagon this weekend. I did about 2-1/2 pounds worth of damage, but I'm back on track again and feeling hopeful.

Anna - I put "What to Eat" on hold at my library, I'm picking it up on the way home. Wanna cry some more? I now have 24 cherry tomatoes, 1 eggplant, 1sweet banana pepper, 3 green pepers, and 5 squash showing in the garden.

I can tell you the Blue Team started with 56 people and ended with 20 people.

So I was right in saying we lose over half each challenge. I don't know about the other teams though.

Remember, a lot of people don't even make it back to the forum to post their starting weight so a lot of people will miss out.

But to give you an idea... if all 253 people do show up it'll be about 84 people per team.

Hey, my dad works there Hopefully you do nothing that takes you to the public affairs office. Meeting someone on 3FC who knows my father would be kind of bizarre. He works in the Maclean office.

I'm in Charlottesville right now, so a bit far from you NOVA people, but I'm probably moving to either NOVA or MD in the near future, my company has an office in DC I can switch to if I want.

As for the Onederland goal...... I'm FOR SURE making onederland asap! I'm just under 3lbs away (was .8 lbs away from it last week... then last week happened.), so I'll definitely make it in the next couple weeks!!

Morning/Afternoon Everyone....

I'm just no finishing up the reading of the posts from over the weekend. Sounds like all of you that had nice weather took the appropriate advantage of it....as Nori said, it snowed in Seattle and it is still cold and cloudy here today.
Hun E - Is DH home yet? I was very happy to read about his progress.
Tee - I can vouch for "Animal, Vegetable, Miracle"...I will have to check out some of the others on your list.
Diva, Dixie, et al....Hey now, that's my "Old KY Home" your talking about, be nice.
Nori, That recipe does sound good...maybe I can give it a go.
There was a ton more that I had wanted to address, but I of course can't remember it now.
As for the weight... -2lbs this week. The change from WW Points to counting calories is working out very well. This is day 3 of being "chip free".

Question: Have any of you changed careers? I'm seriously starting to consider a career change.

OK, I'm on the edge of rambling....I think it's time for lunch.

I work for a smaller IT company now. The office I'm in in Chantilly is actually just a satellite federal sales office with the corporate office located in NJ. I used to work for one of the big boys, though--CSC when I first moved up here. I have a few friends who work for Booz, and, of course, being in government contracting, the companies I've worked for have teamed with BAH on some proposals. Actually, I think my last company lost their biggest contract to BAH

My future MIL lives out in Madison, so whenever we go to visit her, we usually end up at the mall in Charlottesville. She's so funny--she says the Charlottesville mall is "just up the street," but it takes almost an hour to get there from her house

Look at all this love for Cville I just love this town - I think it's beautiful, lots of things to do, emphasis on local goods, the countryside is so easily accessible. Diva - no surprise your LDR was with a musician, seems everyone in Cville is either a musician or here for UVA or both Jill - I'll have to keep one eye peeled for ya when I'm out on the mall, my office is literally right on it so I'm out there a lot!

Well, Back before I was a house wife, I was a Hair Stylist, turned Dental Assistant and love both jobs very much. After having DS #2, I went to college to be a Psychologist, but dropped out due to bad life choices and severe depression. Since then (2002) I have become bitter and don't like people, so I changed my mind...LOL!

J/K, I like people...I just don't like stupid people...ANYWAYS, I have always had a talent for drafting houses and such, and the fiance' really thinks I should go back to school for Drafting & Design....so I have contacted ITT Tech....and I am thinking come January....I just may go back to school for that. He believes in me more than I do, isn't that sweet? I am also wanting to become a certified Personal Trainer. I think I'm gonna do both.

Ok, I am rambling now...

Hey Everyone. Just a quick flyby. Had a great weekend. DD was home and brought the baby. He's 2 mos. old and a little doll. I can't wait to get my hands on him. Drives her nuts!!! Anyway, I was on LAWL and have been stuck at 180 for about 4 months or so. Have decided to try calorie counting and signed up at The Daily Plate website for help with that. So far so good. Course I've only been doing it since Saturday. Time will tell. Hoping this will kick me into gear to lose these last 20 pounds!! Anyway, off to see the dr. Have a great afternoon. I'll be back probably tomorrow!!
