Anna- Borax is supposed to be great for treating hard water, so the dish detergent might work well for you.
I was raised on Tide too. The as an adult I developed sensitive skin, and Tide turned my legs into a red itchy bumpy mess. My former roommate got me hooked on All Free & Clear, the no dye formula works well for my skin. I think the homemafe stuff will wotk as well as the All because it doesn't have a harsh smell and no dyes. Also I had my hand in the 2 gallon bucket yesterday and didn't have a reaction, so I think it will work for me. Turns out theres a lot you can do with Borax. I'm going to try it as a carpet cleaner tomorrow. It's also supposed to kill fire ants.
BTW - I have the teeniest of squash and eggplants on my plants. I'm so excited! Soon I won't have to pay retail for veggies! I plan to can and freeze enough for fall and winter too, if my plants produce enough.

All "healthy" stuff...but still...
Congrats on being OP.
I dont' have this stuff in my house. I threw out the last few I had taken out of the bag, so that's good, but had to cut my dinner short in order to stay under my calories...
LOL hubby is out camping/fishing with our other neighbors at the lake here on post...and me and the kids stayed behind (not much fun camping during that TOM) LOL.....but i got the kids in bed now so i can try to catch up on the Tudors season 2 on Showtime
! Day 19 is fantastic. I am on Day 25--well I guess technically Day 26--so I am researching those HRM because I know I will make it to Day 30.
One benefit of not having kids, I guess, my schedule is my own, mostly.
