Just a quick fly-in to say hello.

DK - I will keep your entire family in my prayers!

Laura - way to go on the half marathon. I could walk one, but running - never in a million years!

Soul - I always enjoy your posts, here and on other threads. It gets boring when everyone tip-toes around what they really want to say.

Cassie - glad you are feeling better! Hopefully, you will be back walking away those pounds soon

Cat - I hate it when my weight bounces up too! Hang in there - in a day or two, it will be back in onederland!

ksk - I do my own warm-up and cool down when I use the 5 mile video. Also, some of the videos in her walk slim series allow you to choose "music only". I have enough of her videos that I haven't been bothered by her chattiness - though sometimes I talk back to her and tell her "enough already".

Hi to everyone else! I'm off to finish get in my last workout tonight

Dk- I'll be thinking of your family...

Well day 1 of babysitting DONE! He was really good, I have to say. I love that little guy to death. He is so dang cute, and the best part is I get to love and cuddle him and then give him backL I just got done doing a cardio bootcamp video. I never did make the gym yesterday, so I was determined to get a workout in today. I was going to hit the gym, but the temp. dropped about 20 degrees in the last couple hours, and everything is freezing! I'm proud of myself though for getting this workout done...I'm beat today. I've been up since about 5:30, and you all know I usually don't like to get up before 9:30!LOL! I'm taping TBL and my sister and I are going to watch American Idol. It has been nice having her here. Well I'm off to shower. Have a great night ladies~

Help! I saw a review at I Ate a Pie the other day of Edy's "Cheesecake Diva" ice cream. It's 120 cals per 1/2 cup, which isn't that bad, and the reviewer made it sound delicious, so I put it on my list of products to watch for (I keep a long list of specific brands/items based on things here, that site, other sites, etc). Today when I was at Gristede's, I happened to see it, so I bought it. And OH. MY. GOODNESS. It is amazing! I had 1/2 cup, and now all I can think about is having more. I am exactly at my calories for the day without exercise, but I like to stay at that level and then add exercise without upping my calories. I'm watching TBL right now and going down to the gym to work out while watching in just a bit. I'm hoping the craving will pass by the time I'm done working out, but just in case, someone please remind me what a bad idea it is to indulge more!

Just wanted to add that I made it with a wall sit through a commercial break! (Wow, those commercial breaks are SO long). My legs were shaking by the second commercial (of 4, plus the iVillage thing) and I really didn't think I could do it. But I did! Yay

Since I don't watch the show I thought I would do my resistance training while you all were watching the show.

Well, I could not do the wall chair for the whole commerical break. It will be a great motivator though. I AM going to work up to it. I did some weights/toning and now I am off to do 30 minutes on the elliptical before bed.

I worked out during every commercial and storm break up until the last 10 minutes because I was pooped! I stepped up and down on my bench, did weights on my arms, squats, yoga moves from Bob, sit ups, butt tucks. I got a good work out in! LOL!

Not only did I avoid the ice cream, but I did 30 minutes on the elliptical, 15 minutes on the rower, and then my 8 Minute Arms DVD. SO much healthier than eating ice cream... thanks everyone!

I've discovered that with sweets, when I have a little bit, it just makes me want a lot. Better for me to avoid them altogether or save them for right before I'm going to get busy with something so I can't crave more. Today when I went out for a pastry, I totally wanted more - but my manager was buying and I couldn't very well ask for seconds, so that worked out well. Hopefully now that I recognize this tendency, I can use it to my advantage. Like at the conference I'm going to Thursday and Friday, don't touch the dessert until RIGHT before it's all going to get taken away. We'll see.

Thanks so much everyone!

Hey ladies!

I just wanted to drop by and let you all know that I'm still waiting to talk to Julz about the Black Team weigh in this week. It seems that some people magically disappeared from the Black Team weigh in thread this week, but they are still entitled their two freebie weeks before they can be officially removed from the challenge. (This is of course unless they let myself or Julz know in writing that they were quitting the challenge for good.)

So with that in mind, I still need to talk to her about that so the results still aren't final. I know Diva said she was expecting some nasty weather, so I pray she's ok. I'll hopefully know more tomorrow if she responds to my pm.

Thanks!

Just had to come report that I did not make it through an entire break doing the chair, I lasted about 30 seconds. But for the whole break I tried to keep doing the chair, I'd hold as long as I could, take a quick break then hold again. I think I'm gonna try that again next week, see if I cant improve my time! good job to everyone who either worked out during the show (I did 30 minutes on the elliptical) or tried to do the chair for a whole break. You guys are amazing!!

Laura, that Cheesecake Diva sounds wonderful. Cheesecake is my downfall. My fridge is full of Weight Watcher's Amaretto Cheesecake Yogurt (Amaretto is my other downfall!!).

DK - your family is in my thoughts.

I wish I would've come in before the show to see about the challenge in here! I did not work out during the show as I was unpatiently waiting for my husband to get home so I could go to the gym. He told me he would be leaving the lab around 6:30 but didn't end up leaving until after 8:00, didn't end up getting home until around 8:30. So then of course I had to watch the rest of the show! The first hour I was bad...I kept switching it between TBL and American Idol...I had to see how bad they portrayed Omaha. Unfortunately I got a lot of commercials whichever channel I was on!

So I did make it to the gym around 9:30 tonight. I worked out for an hour even!! did 15 minutes on the elliptical, then did 25 minutes of weights, then did 20 minutes on the Treadclimber. That Treadclimber is hard! It's supposed to be 2x the workout of a regular treadmill. It actually advises you not to run on it because the treads go up and down! It's a crazy good workout!
