I have a question about freebie weeks... are people who take them included in our weigh-in? Because if someone is taking a freebie but we include their weight in our total, it brings our percentage down by counting as 0% lost. Wouldn't it make more sense to only use starting weights for those who are participating that week?

Cassie
I feel so bad for you. The weather is crazy. We had such a cold snap I thought it was never going to get warm. But for the weather to go from 12 to 40 is crazy lol. No wonder we are all sick and can't get better. Hope you feel better soon.

Sounds like you did great with your workout. Sometimes we can turn something that isn't fun into something that is enjoyable. Always makes it nicer to do.

ksk
I do agree about some of them not haveing enough warm up or cool down. I have found I do twice as much cool down as the vidoes show and for the ones that don't really have a warm up, I do a warm up from another vidoe first.

Spider
So sorry to hear of your tragic news. Will keep everyone in my prayers

Laura
My daughter and I are on about the same schedule. Just about the day I finish she starts.

Good afternoon!

Well, I am feeling a bit better...now let's hope I keep improving, LOL! If so, I'll be working out in no time...yay!

In the meantime, TOM is here, but I won't let that mess up my eating...NOPE!

Have a beautiful day, everyone!

YAY! Today has been a good start and I also bought some SF syrup and I was so surprised how good it taste and it only has 35 cal compared to 210 calories!!!!!! I am hooked on this stuff and wish I would have tried it earlier! Well my two year old is being very demanding so I better go give him some attention! Talk to you all later!

I just wanted to say that I really appreciate all the work the team leaders put into this and how much support the team mates provide too. I am glad Chellez was made moderator too. She's been really fair, helpful and mature about things.

I sometimes feel like an emotional, hormonal freak. Maybe I should filter myself more but I ultimately don't see the harm in being honest. I speak from the heart when I say that this board and this forum in particular helps keep me focused, gives me the accountability I need and don't get in my "real" life.

Thanks, everyone!!!

Tina...LOL I hope you survive too!! Having a baby around after not having one is rough! I get that everytime I babysit..its exhausting!! Good luck to you!

Danielle..girl you are just amazing me right and left!! Way to go on that exercise, and its starting to pay off with your energy!! Yay!!

mom23bc...way to go on another loss!!! And on meeting your goal!! How exciting for you!!! you are at $100 already!! WOOOHOO!!

Kari...send your snow to me! LOL!! Journaling is huge and I need to get back on that train too!

DK...I'm so sorry to hear about your cousin, thats got to be a terrible shock. I am happy to hear that you guys are starting to get well again though. That bumper number will be a thing of the past very soon!

Laura...way to go on the loss!!! When my dd first started her TOM, we were on the same cycle...it wasnt very fun! LOL! But over the months she's about a week behind me now, its been that way for almost a year now. I read a psych study once on just this very topic and they put another womans sweat under the participants nose to see if they'd get on her cycle without even being exposed to her. GROSS!! LOL!

Jen, what a neat lesson! Though I'm curious if the kids knew about the Challenger when they were making their decision. Did he tell them it was data based on the Challenger, or was it a blind decision?
Laura-- It was a blind decision. He didn't tell them that the data was real and from the Challenger until after they made their decision. It really made an impression on the kids.

Laura...yes freebies do count against us because it shows up on the spreadsheet as a zero loss for them. thats why its so important for people to weigh in. If you didnt lose, well you didnt lose, but when people dont post a weight at all it hurts the whole team. What you said makes absolute sense and we had TONS of freebies this week, not to mention the 7 or so people who have never come to weigh in. Luckily if they dont weigh in again next week they'll be dropped and wont count into the weigh in.

cakses....Scales are for fish! LOL! Stay the course you know you are doing the right thing for your body and the scale will have no choice but to move.

Cassie...so glad to hear you are feeling better!

Barbara...all stocked up and ready for success!! You can do it!! I order the Davinci sugar free syrups and I LOVE them!! The gingerbread is my absolute fave but the chocolate is really good too. Today I had almond, I like it but not as much as my gingerbread.

Bliss...I can appreciate someone who expresses how they feel. I sometimes say things I think maybe I shouldn't have but in the long run, isn't the truth always better? Sometimes its just hard to swallow! But I'd rather a straight shooter than someone who is gonna blow smoke up my rear end! LOL!

Whew...chatty day today and I'm starved, time for lunch!!

Okay Red team I issued a challenge in the Spoilers thread! Its 2 parts but you dont gotta do both just challenge yourself to do one or both:

Part 1: to work out during the show tonight

Part 2: to do the imaginary chair for an entire commericial break. The imaginary chair is when you do the motion of sitting in a chair with your back up against the wall and hold that position for an entire commercial break. Not as easy as it sounds!

Lets see who can go a whole commerical break!

Hello Red Team!

Go Karen! Go Karen! Go, go, go Karen! Congrats on being the biggest loser for our team!

Melissa- Thanks for all the work you put into heading up our team. You are awesome!

DK- So sorry to hear about your cousin. I'll keep your family in my prayers.

Roni- Thanks for sharing the emails from Jillian. I totally use ice cream as an emotional crutch (which is why I don't have any in the house right now). I haven't used food as an emotional crutch for more than a month! Yay!

Tina- Thanks for the encouragement! You're great to give all the personal support especially with a baby in the house!

Hi to everyone else!

I am SO in for the challenge, that is, assuming I can ever leave work... I'm still here and a lot still to do.

I usually work out during TBL though, the question is just whether tonight I'll have time to work out for the whole 2 hours or if I'll cut that short. Not too sure about the chair. Will it count if I do it tomorrow early morning during a commercial break for a dif show? Today is supposed to be my "arms" day, with tomorrow as my "legs" day, and I'd like to give them a little more time to recover after my race.

Thank you all for the prayers and well wishes for my cousin. Everyone here is so supportive; it is awesome.

I am ready for the challenge. I am going to do some weights/toning and pilates during the show and try the imaginary chair for some of those commercial breaks. GREAT IDEA!!

Laura - Great job on the race. My husband was a marathoner so I know how much dedication that takes. I would love to do a half one day. Congrats!
