Hello everyone! I have been 110% OP for exercising and about 85% OP for eating haha. My trainer pretty much laid it out there for me that I need to eat on her plan or quit complaining, so come payday next week, I am only buying the allowed foods on her plan and am going to try it for 2 weeks and see if there is a huge difference. I need to try something else and lots of girls at the gym are swearing by her plan (pretty basic, just making sure you get in good carbs/protein/fruit/veggies every 2-3 hours in different combinations. My trainer did this herself and went from a size 12 to a size 4, and my gym buddy is already down a dress size so I guess it's just time to bite the bullet (no bread, pasta or cheese waaaah!) and try it out.

This weekend I am going to try to get in some mileage on the treadmill and also do some more weights, which I usually slack on during the weekends. I feel taking the weekends off is not helping. So a lot of changes going on over here!

Tina sometimes men just need the rudeness...if you're in public and that guy tries to bug you again a nice and loud "Not interested" usually gets the point across (since you've already tried the nice route haha).

Happy Friday!

I'm proud to say that I've stayed on plan again all this week. Had some ridiculous cravings, but did not cave. Woo Hoo! I weigh-in tomorrow morning. Keeping my fingers crossed! No matter what the #'s say, I'm proud of myself.

I really can't do personals because I haven't go the chance to be able to read the posts.... there are sooo many! I did however get to read the LOSER at the Gym story! Tina you were a lot nicer then a lot of people would be! What a freak! I got my TBL dvd finally yesterday... and I tried it out! I live in an Apt. On the 2nd floor and I felt really bad it was around 9 pm and there was a lot of jumping involved! Oh well I got a 5 min warm up 10 min cardio and 5 min cool down... ha! I am actually sore today pretty sad huh?
I felt really sick afterwards which is weird i ususally never do? So hopefully tonight is better and I don't get sick again!

GOOD LUCK RED TEAM!
I have WI tomorrow and I will post that weight for Mondays Weigh in!

Tina I forgot to comment about your experience last night. first of all how rude! Isnt it just gym etiquette that if you have headphones on you dont want to be bothered? Creep! But, your comment about the stinky girl next to you cracked me up! Reminded me of this time I went to the gym, before I had my own elliptical and I wanted to try them out, so i got on there, and the girl next to me kept passing gas and OMG! I dunno what that girl ate but it was so nasty! I kept looking over at her like...hello! I can smell that! She didnt seem to care! I finally just had to leave. LOL..oye!

Cat...you are doing so great!! Way to go!! I'm such a carb addict. I've done many the plan where I cut out all the bad carbs and its funny how quickly you stop craving them. But in the long run I go back to my carbs. I've decided that life is just too short to get rid of something I love, my issue is learning how to use moderation and portion control, and of course making it as healthy as I can too. You are gonna do great this weekend!! Keep up the good work!

LadyZ...cant wait to hear the good news!!! Way to go this week!!!

Cecilia..that TBL workout will kick your butt! Especially if its Bob the lunge master! LOL! I hope you arent getting sick!! Take care of you so you can keep going strong!

Just got off the treadmill and week 3 of C25K is complete!! Yay! Had a great workout and definitely need a shower.
So my scale broke earlier this week so I'm going to have to weigh at a friend's house. I do feel like I'm shrinking though- I LOVE that feeling!!

Atonement is one of my all time favorite books- can't wait to see the movie.
I'll check back in in a bit- I started this post this morning and forgot to post it, lol.

Good evening red team,

Sorry I don't post as often as I'd like, but you guys are very chatty and it's so hard to keep up with posts and personals. I definitely didn't get to read all the past posts this week. Just wanted to post that I was on track with my eating and exercising all week and my weigh in is tomorrow morning. Wish me luck!! I"m hoping for another great loss!

Everyone is doing great and I just found the results thread and realized that we won The Biggest Loser title for week one. WE ROCK!!

Keep up the good work RED TEAM!!

I am on the " Rennie " plan lol. I allow myself 1200 to 1400 calories. I allow myself 30 to 35 grams of fat and I allow myself between 180 and 210 carbs. Was kind of nice when I found out the doc and the dietitian/nutritionist said they were great amounts for me. They even said I could go a bit higher if I wanted to. I want to average between those numbers for the week. If my weekly averages are high, generally never happens. Then, I make myself do without a few ( carbs for example ) for a few days ( generally 3 days don't want to drag it out to long ) until the averages are back to where they should be. Sometimes I am under, this happens when I just happen to pick things to eat for the day that don't have much fat or calories or carbs in them.

I don't do without a thing. Heaven knows many of you know about my " mountain dew " times, lol at least once a week. I try to make sure I eat the required amounts of the four basic food groups a day and have a snack. Now come on a snack is not celery nor is it an apple lol. A snack is for example a can of mountain dew or maybe a weight watchers ( oh I love those things ) fudge bar or a sherbet bar. For me this isn't about doing without. I have nothing to binge on or crave or go back to. Everything I love is included in what I allow myself. I do make sure I watch portion sizes and if I have a snack today I have to wait until tomorrow for another. I even plan what I am going to eat for the day around a big snack like that can of mountain dew because there are so many carbs in it.

My plan says there is more to being healthy than just being at a good weight. We also have to make sure the body is in good shape. I generally do a 1 or 2 mile walking/aerobic video in the am ( somewhere between 15 and 30 min ) and a 2 or 3 mile walking/aerobic video in the pm ( somewhere between 30 and 60 min ). Plus, 3 times a week I do resistance training ( about 40 min ). This doesn't take all that long and you can do all of it in the comfort of your own home while watching tv generally. Heck I watch the exercise videos on my computer on power DVD player and a movie or tv show on windows media player at the same time. I don't exercise on Saturdays since I do my shopping and laundry then and I don't exercise on Sunday. Sunday is my day of rest. No housework, no laundry, no exercising. Nothing but sitting around and vegging in front of the tv generally.

This isn't a plan for everyone. You have to stick to it. You have to have will power sometimes. For me, now it is just what I do. I don't think much about it. I am just like everyone else. I have times I don't eat enough of this or that. I also have times I eat to much of this or that. It all works out if you keep track of things and sometimes just make yourself get back on track and do what you know you should be doing.

Here is a great example. We are having my sons birthday dinner tomorrow. He wants hamburger gravy and whipped potatoes. My gosh the fat lol and carbs. It is going to take me three days of keeping both of them down to make up for all I am going to be eating at that dinner. I am not going to eat a tiny bit. If you are going to eat, you eat and you enjoy lol. I will not go hog wild but I am not going to have a serving size small enough for a 2 year old rabbit lol. For the next three days I will be kicking myself because it will probably mean no snacks and having to eat tuna instead of pork or beef. BUT I will enjoy the dinner with him and the averages will be where I want them. That is how life is; we sometimes have to give up something for awhile if we had something we really wanted.

I don't know what everyone thinks of it but there was a formula someone put on the site here. I used it and it was pretty darn close to the lower end of what I allow myself. Since I was told I could eat more than I do, that showed me the formula was a bit off by about 200 calories but it was pretty close, I was surprised. If you want it I can post it for you.

Nice going on sticking to what you planned when you went out to eat. I find that is the only way to eat if you aren't eating at home. Know what you are going to get and only get what you have planned.

Question of the day

Had to think on that one. I reread the whole series Magic Kingdom for sale by Terry Brooks. I love that series; can't read it enough. Bet I have read the series once a year since it came out. I get on binges of what I read. Might start out with historical biographies and then move on to battles and then to ghosts lol. Never know what I am going to read next.

I don't do much for myself. Hubby takes care of that. " Go get a hair cut, will make you feel good. Lets go get you some clothes. Do you need a new bottle of polish? I know how you like your nails to look nice." Have never been quite sure if he married me for my cooking or my long nails. He loves both lol. I am always taking care of everyone else. Might be why my hair looks like a Maltese, if he doesn't tell me to spend the money and get my hair cut, my clothes are 2 sizes to big, unless he takes me shopping, and I never go Thur a whole bottle of bath salts before I get more the next Christmas, I have started to use these at least every few days. Have to say my one big splurge for myself is my nails. They are long, they are hard and they get my time once a week for a manicure and a pretty paint job ( even when I ran a warehouse ). If I break one the neighbors can hear the kids yell RUN FOR THE HILLS SHE BROKE A NAIL. lol

ksk
Great going on the exercise

Tina
My daughter will never wake me up again staring at me. I scared her to death because I woke up with this face in my face and screamed and jumped out of bed lol. Now she comes into the door way and yells Mommmmm LOL. I do know how you feel. My gosh I can go a month and a half or two months with it wanting to start and not starting. All I want to do is eat something. I started tyeing a ribbon around the fridge handle when I am having days like that so each time I go to open it I see the ribbon and that stops me. I have already eaten I don't need to eat anything else.

Cassie
I think it must be going around. I just am getting over that. Not really sick but sick and feeling blaaaaaa. Don't want to eat when I feel like that.

I do the same thing. Have a ton of books on tape and CD. Pop one in and do my workouts.

Tina
Sometimes we have to not be offended. Yes, I am married I love being married, yes, I have children. Let the attention make you feel good and then let it go. The guys at the shop where I have my oil changed are giving me the eye of late lol. A few comments have been made. They know I am married, they know I have children. Some of them are TWENTY years younger than me. Hey, I am going to enjoy it, they sure weren't giving me the come hither looks 40 lbs ago lol. The one guy about my age, with a great mullet ( OK I love mullets lol ) asked me very quietly what I was doing for the weekend since he knew the hubby would be out of town. I said cleaning toilets and taking care of baby hamsters would he like to help. I could always use help cleaning toilets. lol If the man is creepy or really bothering you I would say go to the manager of the gym.

Cat
Nice going on the weight loss. Smile and do a little I lost weigh boogie dance.

Utah
That is wonderful, made you feel good didn't it.
