Hello ladies! I've been MIA on this thread for a few days, but rest assured I'm still on plan. I finished the week with my official weight of 177 which is 3.5 pounds down from my last challenge weigh in (which was a gain). I took yesterday off of exercise due to a sore ankle.

I just started the Beck Diet Solution book which is really helping me with the mental and emotional part of my journey. After reading my posts on this thread, I see that a majority of my issues are emotional. I'm ready to conquer those issues to that I can not only lose this weight, but keep it off!

My BFF is back on the healthy lifestyle bandwagon with me. I went over there yesterday and we cooked for several hours. We made several different meals and split them up so that our food is taken care of for a few days. We used to do that all of the time and both lost quite a bit of weight. It's been a while since we were both on track at the same time. It's nice to have someone to cook with and go to for encouragement (in addition to here )
Tina - I am naturally very shy and not very approachable. I either would not have taken off my ear phones or ended up talking to that loser for too long. It stinks that you had to go through that. It's too bad that didn't happen when you were having a bad PMS day like you are now! Hope you get to feeling back to normal soon.

Andi - I like your million dollar match up page. It's cool how you photoshopped you and Misty onto the double scale!

Danielle - It sounds like a neat experience that you had meeting Bill and Hollie. Bill looked almost too thin at the finale. Does he look healthier now? It sounds like you got some great advice and encouragement. Thanks for sharing it with us. I'm looking forward to seeing pictures on Melissa and your Million dollar match up page.

Laura - Way to go on the marathon! That's awesome! It's also a great testament that you were able to pick the apple and only use the bagel for emergencies. Sounds like your back on track from your off weekend last week.

Everyone else - I'm missed quite a few days of posting so I won't be able to do personals for everyone, but I did read everything. Thanks for posting!

I'll never forget it. I was in the 8th grade, there was a flu outbreak at our school. The day before the girl who sits in front of me in science class turned around and coughed right in my face. The next day I was out sick. So I was sleeping on my couch when it happened. My mom woke me up and I spent the entire rest of the day watching the footage, over and over and over again.

I was a freshman in high school. I did not watch it live. The next class after it happened was my World History class. The teacher of that class was quite a jokester and kinda goofy. He came in very serious and told that class that the Challenger had exploded. There were several people in the class who started laughing because they thought he was kidding. You could tell by the look on his face that he was not. It was very surreal.

I just watched part of a How Weather Changed History show on the Weather Channel about this. It really brought back the memories.

I was 18 yrs old, living in a house with my boyfriend and a bunch of strangers in El Paso, TX with my new born child and watched it happen on TV. It was horrible.

I don't think there is a rule though saying you can't come over here and chat, so come over to Red whenever you want...we would love to have you! Honestly I don't remember I was only 6 yrs old. I don't remember a lot from my childhood though, so this one is tough for me. What I have seen and read of it though as an adult makes me very sad! What an awful thing!!

Karen- What a great idea, getting together with your girlfriend and cooking together. What are some of the things you all made? I love to cook!! Bake no, cook yes!LOL! Awesome loss though...3lbs is fantastic I'm glad you have someone to support you, it's always nice to have someone going through this with you~ Keep it up!

Melissa- Don't you just hate when you wake up late...I always feel like my day is all thrown off!

Well it sounds like I'm going to babysitting until Friday...UGHHH give me the strength dear Lord! I was cool with a day or two, but 4 days, I may just be ready to pull my hair out by then!LOL! I'll survive, I do have 3 of my own, so 1 more shouldn't be a problem!

Thank you very much gf and I hope you get to feeling yourself again soon. I am always worse the week before TOM than I am when it's here. Anywho, Melissa just said the same thing to me on yahoo! LOL! So I think I will. I felt funny about it at first because I felt like I shd be supporting my own team but I am just not "feeling" it over there. It's been bumming me out and I had a binge yesterday. Sat I weighed myself and was actually down a pound but after yesterday I am right back to last weeks weight so... Not saying I binged because of the lack of support, it was a combination of things and I just totally blew it. O'well...it's over now and I am back on track.

I appreciate all of you putting up with me over here.

Challenger - I don't remember what grade, but I was in Middle School in the Cafeteria and they wheeled in a TV so we could watch the horror on the news...

When the second one happened I was in Canada on a work trip on Price Edward Island. I was shopping on my down time and I heard it over the radio in one of the little shops!

Well I'm down 2 this week which I'll definately take since the scale has been playing roller coaster with me this week!

I'm sorry I'm not better with personals. I know we hear people say that a lot but I'm shy and it's a little overwhelming to try to comment back to each and everyone. I'm going to try and do a few at a time and see if I can handle that better.

Well off to the gym. This will be day 2 since I hurt my leg. I hope everything goes as well as the first time.

Oh yeah... I'M IN THE TEENS!!! WOO HOO!!! 2 more pounds and I will be lighter then I have been since I was 19 years old. (15years)

Thanks Melissa! I just feel bad when everyone can post so often and then I have 5 pages to read through. There's just no way I can find the time to send everyone personals.

I think everyone is doing great and red team is definitely on a roll.

My weigh in Saturday was another great one. I lost 3.6lbs for a total of 12 lbs my first month of WW. I am very proud of that!

I had a VERY busy weekend otherwise I would have had time to get online and post once or twice. ON saturday alone DS had 1 indoor soccer practice, 2 basketball games and a sleep over birthday party. I went out to dinner with my mom, Brother and niece to Uno's and I planned everything I was going to eat and drink. I was totally in control, didn't over do it and used 18 WAP's for the week. I haven't used one of them for an entire month so mom and I decided that we are going to splurge once a week and actually use some of our WAP's to go to one of our favorite restaurants. Next month we're heading to On The Border for chips and salsa, margaritas and quesadillas. I think i'm totally getting the hang of this WW life style and I don't feel deprived at all!

I didn't get any exercise in my first two days of my week so i'm upping my exercise Monday - Friday to have another good weigh in on Saturday. Tonight i'm going to start the couch to 5k program. I"m excited, i've always wanted to run so I think starting off slow will be the key. I've been wondering about yoga DVD's....does anybody have any recommendations for a good yoga DVD? I really want to get one! Maybe I"ll check what's available on blockbusteronline!

Idealmuse - Just this week I got to my lowest weight in 2 years and it feels great! I can't wait for you to experience the same feeling!

Chellez - thanks for making me feel old! Actually I work at a University and quite a few of the kids are younger than you. I try not to think about it!

I was only 12 years old so I do not have a clear memory of where I was or what I was doing. In school probably if it was a week day? I remember hearing about it and watching it on the news. But I was young it wasn't as vivid a memory to me as 9/11.

Just curious What do you LIKE about your program?

I'm basically a calorie tracker. I use myfooddiary.com it's not free like the others but it's cheap and I just like the format better. Plus if I'm paying for it there is more pressure to use it consistently.

One thing I really like about it is that It gives me a target calorie to hit for the day based on activity level... so the more you move the more you get to eat while still maintaining "to lose 2 pounds" deficit.

It's been consistent for me I've lost this much since May and it certainly is motivation to get that exercise in!
