Huneb: What are you going to school for? Also, I am going to look up the couch to 5k. Thanks for the info.

I also love to read. Just about anything. Of course I don't have much time anymore to read like I used to.

Have a great day everyone.

Hi ladies! To answer yesterdays question of the day: I choose housecleaning also. I'm terrible at this. I would have more time and less stress if I never had to worry about that again.

I'm still sticking to exercising every day. I have done 60 - 90 minutes a day every day this week so far. I will need to do something tonight to keep on track. I have been eating healthy and not missing the junk this week.

Good morning ladies! I woke up before 9 today...YAY!LOL! I only woke up though because I felt someone staring at me, it was my littlest. I open my eyes and he just has his chin rested in his hands and he's smiling at me. What better way to wake up It's really sunny here today, but really cold. When I watched the weather this morning while up with Joey it said -2, BRRR! I got in an awesome workout yesterday. I started with 15 min. of cardio and then I went to weights, and then I couldn't just leave with doing 15 min. of cardio, so I did another 30. I was dripping with sweat by the time I left...I'm sure I looked a mess, but I sure did feel good! Today I'm helping out at the school, but I'll be going to the gym later for just cardio. The gym was packed last night, so I'm hoping it's less busy tonight. Other then that not much going on...

Danielle- Great job on resisting all the tempting food. I love subs, especially like you said loaded with veggies

Laura- I have read some Jodi Picoult, and I enjoyed her. Great job with being 600 calories below!

Melissa- Okay I've heard of Janet Evanovich, my cousin reads her and loves her. She gave me a few of the books, I'm just not sure they go in order, and I have to read stuff in order! Great job with the exercise!

Karen- 60-90 min. of exercise is fantastic, keep up the good work! You've been eating OP also, you'll show a nice loss this week

Kari- Holy cow you have your hands full. To watch 4 kids below the age of 4, you must have the patience of a saint

Jen- Okay I'm falling out my chair laughing...50-60 degrees and your cold, girl I would be pulling my shorts and tank tops out if it were that warm!LOL!

Cathy- Hello...good to hear from you. Have a great day~

Emily- Hello

Barbara- Hey girl, how's it going?

Okay I'm off to make the beds. Have a great day ladies~

Good morning ladies!!!

I see we have LOTS of readers here. I love to read more obscure novels, involving troubled protagonists mostly cenetered around the theme of "prisioned lives"; protagonists trapped by their own shortcomings and downfalls. My favorite author is Franz Kafka (he's was so odd and obscure, but i love it!), secondly Albert Camus, thirdly, a new favorite, Carson McCullers, in which I just finished reading her novel, The Heart is a Lonely Hunter. I also like Alexander Solzhenitsyn, Carlo Levi, F. Scott Fitzgerald (c'mon who hasn't read The Great Gatsby, lol), John Cheever, and a few others I can't think of right now.

I also love reading dramas by playwrights such as Eugene O'Neill, Arthur Miller, Henrik Ibsen, Joseph Conrad (Any of you ever seen Apocalypse Now Redux?, that film is loosely based on his work Heart of Darkness, the MOST complex drama i've EVER read) but my favorite is Tennessee Williams. My FAVORITE play of all time is The Glass Menagerie. I saw a production of the play last spring and it was AMAZING!!!

The next novel I'm hoping to began is William Faulkner's The Sound and Fury. Has anyone read it around here? Or any of his other works?

I also love reading and explicating poems. Some of my favorite poets are Walt Whitman (my FAV. of course), Emily Dickinson, Langston Huges, Robert Frost, Edgar Allen Poe, William Cullen Bryant (such a child prodigy), and numerous others, mostly the classic poets.

As you can see, I love to read!

Have a great day ladies!

Good morning Red team! I had a bit of an off day yesterday, my trainer called in sick and I skipped my workout and ate pizza Needless to say I am doing damage control today. I have a kick butt cardio class to go to this afternoon and I am planning on going early to run to get double cardio. Hoping a lot of water and healthier eating will bring my numbers back down on the scale.

Helllllo Ladies!

So now I'm back to join ya'll finally, did my time at work this morning and so glad to be out of there for the remainder of the day and tomorrow.

Mel- yanno, its funny that you mention seeing Bob. When I felt like I wasn't gonna be able to hang on, on the verge of caving, my first thought was, well if you do this you will ruin your chances of getting to that finale. How weird is that?! Needless to say, it's kept me on the straight and narrow pretty much! I am so proud of you for doing your C25K. That's pretty amazing! Good luck on that quiz, but I know you'll do great.

Tina, wow, you are a workout machine ain't ya! Good girl!

jlbake- I'm with you on the weather thing. I'm a southern Ca. girl at heart, and anything below 50 and I am SO freezing. You shoulda seen my kids when they were small and we went anywhere that was "cold"....they looked like the little kid on "Christmas Story"....can't put my arms down!!!...heehee.

Laura, you have to read the Evanovich books, they're amazing! You will laugh out loud I can almost guarantee it.

OptimistK, gosh, I don't think I've read anything ultra deep since my college days. LOL I think it's fabulous that you like reading so much, and stuff that really makes you think. I have always encouraged my kids to develop a taste for all genres when they read, that way they can be well rounded in lots of areas.

I love love love to read. Mostly stuff that goes quick as I don't have alot of time anymore. I just finished 'p.s. I love you'...parts of it made me cry. lol Now I'm reading Atonement and so far I really like it. And Melissa, do you know that I just realized that I never read #13 of the Plum series! LOL How I missed it I have no idea. I also loved Robert Ludlum's Jason Bourne triliogy, good stuff there.

The plan is to get a workout in before fetching the chicklets from school. It's rainy and overcast here and I'm fighting the urge to curl up in a ball and watch t.v. and snooze. Truth is, I haven't had a whole lot of sleep this week so a nap sounds really enticing. However, I know I NEED to get that exercise in now or I'll never do it.

So, with that, I'm outtie and gonna jump on the elliptical before I change my mind!

Have a good one!

Hi everyone - Was going to try out the leg at the gym yesterday but then it was snowing and when I looked this morning it's 1 degree outside, so I guess I'll until tomorrow since the gym is a 4 mile round trip walk.

My weight is just hanging there this week despite eating lightly. Guess the body is starting to get pouty about no exercise. Maybe I'll pop in a DVD later.

Hope everyone's having a more productive week!

Good morning ladies! Well DH is going out of town today until late Saturday. Hoping the kids are on their best behavior. ha ha ha. I think that's an oxy moron!! Just kidding!
Tina~ I don't know about patience of a saint. Some days I don't think I have any patience.

Question of the day: I can't remember the last time I did something for me. But DH and I have decided when we reach 20# lost (each) we are going to go in and get a massage. That'll be a good reward.

Thursdays Question of the day!:

When was the last time you bought or did something for yourself for no other reason than it felt good?

I totally forgot to answer the question of the day. Well I would have to say my bubble baths have been something I've been doing for myself lately. I just find them so relaxing, and it's my time to unwind I lock the door, put my Mp3 player on, and read my book! It's an hour of blissful ME TIME!!!

Okay I have a confession to make. I have been eating stuff I shouldn't today. I just wish my period would come already. I went to grab something else and I actually had to say out loud STOP! I have worked to dang hard this week in the gym to blow it. I'm not sure if I'll weigh-in tomorrow or wait until Monday. I just feel all bloated, and I feel like my weight this week isn't going to be good. I'm back on track starting right now though, and tonight I'll push myself that much harder at the gym.

Jen - I read "My Name is Asher Lev" by Chaim Potok a few years ago. Don't remember it too well though... I might have to check out "The Chosen."

Danielle, I love make your own sandwiches! What I hate is when they bring catered sandwiches in that are all made and slathered with mayo. Yuck!

Melissa, thanks for the book tips! Will definitely check them out on my next library visit.

Question of the day:
I got a massage on Sunday I guess it was kind of for a reason (my neck was sore), but that was really just me making up a reason so I could justify it to myself. It was fantastic, and I found this great place that was so cheap - $42 for an hour (plus tip)! I'll definitely be going back there.

Tina, for a while I thought my gym hadn't been hit with the new year's resolution-ers, but last night I went earlier than usual (7 PM, right when I got home from work, rather than 8 or 9 PM to watch TV), and it was packed! I was really surpriesd.

Hi team! Sorry I haven't been around lately, I'm sick and feeling so BLAH. Sadly, it's not the "stomach" sickness, it's a cold, and I've been eating horribly, nevermind the fact that today is my brother's 10th b-day and so we are going to McDonald's for dinner and then out for ice cream. Oh my!

Tomorrow though...tomorrow I shall be good. And back on plan. *sigh*

Hi Team! I really don't have alot of time to stop by... but I wanted to say hi! And congrats to all who are keeping up with the excercising! I am having a bit of a set back. I have gained back 2 of the lbs I lost at our last weigh in and believe me I am frstrated because I have been eating OP. So I guess I will just continue to do so and hopefully I will have some good news on Sat. when i weigh in again! Wish me luck! And good luck to all of you! We are going to ROCK the weigh in once again I just know it!

Hi team! Glad to see all of the literature suggestions! I love to read, but I'm a big Audible fan right now. Life is too busy to sit down with a book, so I clean and work out while listening to books. It makes both go much better
I just finished Hide by Lisa Gardner, The Secret things of God, by Henry Cloud, and Power Play by Joseph Finder. All were excellent!

Question of the day: I took a bath with salts and the portable whirlpool last week. I took my favorite music, a my latest copy of "Prevention" and a glass of red wine with me. DH worked late, so I had a nice relaxing hour in the tub. I haven't done that in a long, long time

Good day today - tried a new workout video "Sweating in the Spirit". Not bad, I think it will grow on me.

Hope everyone has a evening!

Good evening ladies,

Thank you all for the great suggestions on calorie counting. I am going to definetly look into all of this as soon as I can. I am actually quite excited as the more I think about it, the more it makes sense...I think after a year of the same program I need to make a change.

Melissa if you could send me that info on WW you were saying that would be awesome, as I would like to make a choice between calorie counting and ww. I also went into the link you sent me and it is awesome...thanks again.

Well I will try to log in later as now I must go attend to the family.

Hope everybody had a great day today.

Take care

Sara
