  • This is TOM week for me so I'm up 2.2 pounds from my starting weight which means I actually lost b/c I usually put on between 4-5 pounds during TOM, I'm just not sure how much, though. And guesstimating isn't apart of the rules, oh well, it'll even out for the next weigh-in.
  • Quote: Sorry for not posting sooner, it's just been crazy busy.

My weigh in went well yesterday I am down a total of three lbs from when I started last Monday so I guess that's OK. I just pray and hope to God it contineus and I don't plateau again.

I need all of your opinion, I've being doing LA since last January and I am paid up until this March, either than the break I took right before Christmas I have been on plan and pretty faithful until I plateaued. I stayed there for so long 175 that I guess I just got discouraged and depressed and took a break and let go a little, which led me to 183. My question or what I would love is if you think that sometimes if you are on aplan does your body get so used to it that it needs a change? I don't eat the same thing everyday but I do stay on plan....I know I probably don't make any sense, I guess what I am asking is if you think I should explore different ways such as calorie counting or weight watchers. Has anyone been on a plan for a long time, done well than plateaued and switched to another plan and continues to excel and lose weight?

Well unfortunately I have to run, and I am sure there are plenty of spelling mistakes, so I do apologize.

By the way you guys rock, your post are truly inspiring.

    See you all later hopefully...ciao!
What kind of exercise are you doing? You may just need to step that up a bit to get the weightloss going again. I think if you're eating healthy, but stuck that's the way to go.
  • Quote: We walked for 4 hours!!!!!!
Nicoya when you commit to working out, you really commit!!
  • Quote: Is it true everyone has to weigh in together? I knew someone who did it (way back when) and said they had to weigh in as a group.-Yello.
They don't do that where I'm at.
  • Quote: Good Morning Everyone! Even tho I'm not a frequent poster, I wanted to check in and let you know I'm still on plan and sticking to my mission. I enjoy reading as many of the posts as I can. My family is in MN, and I don't have really close friends in NY, so all of you here are VERY important to me. I want to say THANKS to all of you for helping me feel less isolated and more a part of a great group of people! Have a great day! ~Nicole
Post when you can Nicole, we're always here for ya.
  • Despite my little slip up last night..I'm still down 3.5lbs this week! Yay!

I weighed in on the WI thread.

Have a great day, and CONGRATS to all you losers this week!
  • 1. What is something you accomplished last week that you are proud of? I said I was going to exercise 5 days and I did...

    2. What is your exercise goal for the week? This week I'm going for 5 days again, but I want to devote 2 of those days to cardio and strength training!

    3. If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be? At the moment somewhere really really warm, and I would have to take my entire family with me

    4. If you could vacation anywhere in the world where would it be? I love tropical areas...I think Hawaii is a big one for me though

    5. Who is your inspiration? My inspiration, hummm. I would have to say my husband. He goes to work and works a very stressful job, and then he comes home and helps here with the kids and after dinner dishes. When I tell people all the stuff Kev does they look at me like I have 3 heads. With 3 kids though it's hard to get everything done, and without his help it would be really rough! Whenever I think I'm to tired to do this or that, I think of him and the hours he puts in and that pushes me. He is my everything! AWWW!

Laura- Missing the gym is a good sign...you'll be ready to go when you get back

Floann- Down 6.6 lbs girl that is awesome...keep up the hard work!

OptimistK- When TOM comes everyones weight is off, next week you'll have a killer number

Melissa- I think one weigh-in is a good idea, especially since it would be two different scales, that would just throw you off!

Kari- I had the same thing happen to me...my family was trying to shove food down my throat..saying your too skinny! I always threatened to get naked in front of them and show them that I wasn't going to float away LOL! What a great compliment though, and like you said coming from someone who usually wouldn't say something like that means a lot!

Jen- Ahhh your weekend sounded a lot more fun then mine. Soaking in the hot tub with your husband or cleaning closets...hmm!LOL! Glad you had a nice relaxing weekend. Great job on the walk this morning!

Cat- Don't worry about being up 1 lb. sometimes our bodies do what our bodies want to do.

    Cathy- Hi...how are things going?

  • Cassie- YAY for a 3.5 lb loss...that is fantastic!
  • Where is my head today!!! I totally forgot our get to know you survey for Week 2:

    1. What is something you accomplished last week that you are proud of?That I stayed OP, especially through the weekend.

    5. Who is your inspiration? My Red teammates. Reading what ya'll write inspires me.
  • I am thinking it might be a bit silly to still post a reply to this early entry but I didn't have time last week at work and my Internet at home was moving extremely slow. I did spend some time reading posts and am excited to part of the team

    1. What do you prefer we call you? Terapet

    2. What weightloss plan are you using? Right now I do two things. I limit the bad food in the house and I write down what I eat everyday. Unfortunately I tend to make poor food choices anyway.

    3. What is your favorite exercise? I do a few things. I am a member of the Y and right now I attend one strength class, one Pilates class and one Zumba class each week. I also "run" on the treadmill for 30 minutes anywhere from once to three times a week. (the treadmill is only set at 4.5)

    4. What is one area that you struggle? I drink too much alcohol, eat too many sweets and do not eat enough fruits and vegetables.

    5. What is one area of your weightloss journey that you excel at? I guess exercise.

    6. What is your short term goal? 10 pounds

    7. What will you reward yourself with when you reach that goal? Losing ten pounds would be a reward in itself.

    8. Best weight loss tip. None really. I am not terribly successful with weight loss.

    9. Bob or Jillian? I like them both.

    10. Tell us about yourself! I work full time as a bookkeeper and have been married for 28 years.I have three children, ages 22, 20 and 17. The two boys are studying business in college and my daughter is a junior in high school who loves the saxophone. I enjoy reading, movies and do volunteer stuff for the band. This year is special because I turn 50! This would be a great time in my life to shed those bad eating habits.
  • I made it through 10 pages! I guess I better get here daily so I can keep up better!! The kids are off today, and have half days this week and then are off on Friday!! I tell ya after winter break they never go a full month until they come back from spring break in April til being out for Memorial day in May. They get out around 13 June or so.
I posted my WI, I"m basically a week ahead, I guess. Anyway, I noticed some AWESOME losses this week!! WTG LADIES!! I think we've done really great for our first week.
Well the oldest need the computer for some school reports he needs to get done. I"ll check in later tonight.
  • Quote: I forgot to metion that yesterday when we were at my aunt's house, my little cousin (7 yrs old) told me that I was getting skinny! That felt really good to hear her say that. Especially since it came from her. She's a very spoiled only child and usually if it doesn't concern her, she's not interested in it. So I must be making some good progress for her to notice!
That is awesome that she noticed and said something!! It makes it all the more excitable when it comes from someone (even if a kid) that you would never think would say it! congrats!!!!
  • 1. What is something you accomplished last week that you are proud of?
Went to 24 Hour Fitness and got myself a 30 day free pass!

    2. What is your exercise goal for the week?
    2 exercise 5 out of 7 days

    3. If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?
Somewhere warm! I lived in northwestern MN for 25 years and Nebraska for 4 years. I'm ready for warmth!

    4. If you could vacation anywhere in the world where would it be?
Already did the Jamaica thing (where my hubby and I got married and honeymooned). We do want to travel to Italy to see where his dad came from. I've also always dreamed of going to Australia.

    5. Who is your inspiration?
Everyone that has stuck to plan and made it or is making it to their goal weight! You all have helped me to strive to continue to workout (even if we've only known each other a short time!).
  • cakses ~ it happens. No need to apologize! I know it is aggravating to watch the weight fluctuate so much in a week. It's only the 1st weigh in, it will get better!
  • Yeah Cassie! That is great!
