webwoman,
I am so sorry to hear of such a horrible accident and the lose of wonderful friends. My heart and prayers goes out to each of you. A drunk driver is about the worse excuse for the lose of a life. It makes no sense that he should live while others had to die because of his stupidy. I will keep you in my prayers and thanks for your kind words.

you are also right that worrying about weightloss right now is not even in the picture. God Bless you and be with you in your time of need.

Hugs
Izzy

Webwoman - It is always so sad to hear of teens killed in auto accidents. They are the future of our country and the ones to carry on the family name and traditions. We have had a couple such accidents in our area lately, and while not caused by alcohol, tragic just the same. May God comfort their families.

webwoman sorry to hear about that terrible car crash and the loss of dear friends. May thoughts and prayers are with you and your children. I know it must be so hard for them. It is an awful tragedy whenever any young person dies and escpecially so, because of a drunk driver. Stay strong and let us all count our blessing and thank God for all that he has given.

Hi Izzy!

We're have snow flurries this morning, so I guess it's really winter!

I'm still sticking to the BFC plan, although I now allow myself a few treats on the weekends when I'm dining with my DBF. I had a bad strep infection last week that became an ear infection, and although treated with antibiotics my head is still completely congested. They changed the antibiotic yesterday hoping it would work better, but I don't have much of an appetite. I did finally get out of the 160's, which means I've lost 10% of my body weight and are now at a "normal" BMI. I still have a ways to go but enjoy wearing clothes that haven't fit in years. It's fun to shop in your own closet!

Trying to get some Christmas shopping done, some at the store and more online, but still have lots of shopping to do.

How are you doing, and anyone else here doing BFC?

I am still here, although I do not do BFC. I just like the company here. I gained 10 lbs from my lowest weight but have lost 2 so I am up 8 lbs net. I am having surgery on Friday and I have been stress eating for the past couple weeks. Last time I had surgery I lost 15 lbs. I sure would like to see another loss like that again. When I get out of the hospital I think I will look over my BFC book and see what I think. I have not completely rejected it. Maybe I can tweak it to fit my needs. I will be in the hospital for at least 10 days.

Hi Carol Sue,

Sorry to hear that you are having surgery on Friday, I hope things go well for you. I wouldn't worry about your weight right now, just rest and recover and then get back to your program. I will keep you in my prayers. It is good to hear from you and webwoman. Have a great day and a wonderful holiday season.

I came home from the hospital on Friday, two days ahead of schedule, so that was a good sign. Doctor was surprised that I progressed so well. I feel great. I have lots of energy and am getting around good. I would like to go to Kohls, but I'm probably not supposed to go out anywhere so soon. I will go before Christmas, though, but maybe later in the week, early in the morning when it's not so crowded.

My weight was up 10 lbs the morning after I came home. It's definately not from what I ate, because I was on a clear liquid diet in the hospital. Jello and broth. But I am retaining a lot of fluid. This morning, 6 lbs of fluid were gone. My face and hands are no longer puffy, but my legs and feet are, so I guess there's a few more pounds of fluid to get rid of. I am fine with it. I should be able to start walking again after the holidays.

Hope all have a good holiday!

Hi Carol Sue and welcome home. I'm so glad your surgery went well and you were able to come home earlier than expected! I'm sure you're still retaining some water and you'll probably see a weight loss when it's finally gone. Best wishes for a continued recovery and Merry Christmas!

Thank you for the good wishes. The 10 lbs of water weight I gained in the hospital are gone and I am now only 5 lbs away from my lowest weight. I feel good. I have a lot of energy and my incision is healing nicely. I hope to continue keeping my appetite at bay and reaching my goal soon.
