@BFL216 I think the difference in the fast track is going to be more menus and something like how to lose a pound a day. I downloaded a menu and it has treats cards that you can use to get you past night time munching. He's calling it a no fail plan. I am not sure if some of these things will be in the fast track. I got it from this blog I am not sure if I can post the link but it's called george and me. I sure if you google it, it should come up.

There is another trick I used to use that really helped me. Did you ever notice that eating something (for example a piece of cake) is never as good after the first bite? Many times I just wanted that first bite, then after eating that I realized I didn't really want the rest. Or sometimes, if you take that first bite and then stop and think about it, it's not as good as it looked. It's better to take the first bite and realize that you don't really want to eat that cake, than to pass it up entirely and salivate over it for the rest of the day.

Good Morning,
I did well Monday and I am down 1lb. this morning, I walked 1.5 miles and I feel better. I have not been sleeping as well as I would like(maybe 3 to 4 hours). Boy, oh boy! I feel it. To day is my zumba day and I hope I have the energy to make it through. I read the blog "Me and Jorge" and wow! what a great blog. Very inspiring and I learned a lot, I think everyone should read it.
She started blogging the first day of BFC and she looks great. The information contained in this blog is first rate and she has lost around 52lbs!!
I love those who go that extra mile and are so dedicated, they help those like myself who needs that motivation.

Hi everyone, just checking in to see if everyone is alright. I don't know where you live, but in Va. we had a 5.9 earth quake! It was so scary. It lasted about 2 minutes and I have never heard it be so loud. The windows shook, and the floor trimbled. It scare me and my 3 year old grand daughter.
I have never felt so helpless.

Hi BCL216,

Glad to hear u are okay. We felt the vibrations all the way here in NJ! Some people in Philly were let go early. Are you near the washington area?

Can you imagine walking and having the ground move? Scary.

In reference to the challenge, I think it is a great idea. Doing good on BFC. How often do you weigh? I loved the george and me blog also it is very motivating.

Take care and be safe.

I am in Pittsburgh, PA and we felt it here. I was lying in bed watching TV and I felt the bed shake. At first I thought maybe DH snuck in and was shaking the bed just to scare me. I hollared out to him "Were you shaking the bed?" and then I could hear him in the living room and knew it wasn't him. Our dog is such a little thing, he would not be able to shake the bed. So I went out and asked DH if he felt the shaking and he said no. Then he realized that he had walked into the kitchen and the coffee maker had rattled, and he was surprised because it wasn't even on! Right then the phone rang, and my step-daughter who works about 1/2 mile from here wanted to know if we felt the shaking. Right after that, we saw it on the news. I only felt it for about 5-10 seconds. I'm glad that you are ok. It didn't sound as though anyone was hurt anywhere, and there was some damage but not severe. Thank God!

I am up for the challenge. I really don't do well with challenges. I am on a 5 lb monthly challenge on another board and I lose a few but gain them back. Like you said, it's the same 5 lbs over and over. But I don't quit trying!

We felt it all the way in Dayton, Ohio! It's amazing how far it was felt.

I'm up for the challenge, too, but still trying to lose a few more this month. I've got some momentum going and hope that continues.

Arrow Morning After

Good Morning everyone,
I am glad to hear that all of you are alright. My Hubbie was in Cleveland Ohio and felt it there. I was so shakened, that I forgot my appointments and cancelled class for the evening. It was indeed scary and at 8:05pm there was a small after shock here. It shook the couch I was setting on.

Now for my meals yesterday, I did ok before the earth quake, then I found myself eating a few things that was not good choices. I feel bloated and mad at myself. I am hoping to still reach my 10lbs for this month by Sept.1.
The important thing for us all to remember that even if it is coming off slow, at least its going. I am happy to hear that you will be partisapating in the next challenge.

Hi Everybody,

Trying to stay OP, I keep getting confused. I know I count sugar but do I also count if I eat fruit? I have only been counting in foods not fruit, so I think I have been going over the 15 grams of sugar. The carb count is a little easier but the same problem I forget to count veggies. My diet plans are starting to run together. I used to not count fruit and veggies. I am going to go over my books again.

The dreaded weekend is coming up -- I binge every weekend. will be fighting it this weekend although with all the rain that we are supposed to get it just seems like a good lifetime/bed marathon.

Imannott,

Yes, the sugars in fruit absolutely count. Apples and oranges have 23g of sugar in each for example. The best BFC fruits are berries. Veggies do have carbs, but they're usually not high. This is hard to grasp, as I, too came from WW where we didn't have to count fruits and veggies.

Instead of binging this weekend, treat yourself to a good breakfast of 2 eggs, meat, and WW toast, or even an omelette. Prepare lots of (lean)protein that you can grab for lunch and dinner (ex chicken breast with salsa), and don't forget snacks like walnuts, HB eggs, or cheese.

I like to plan activities throughout the weekend (clean a closet, wash the car, make a big pot of bean soup, etc.) so that I have a checklist of things to do so I don't find myself bored and gravitating toward the pantry. Once you control the sugar intake, you won't get the cravings that cause you to binge.

Good luck!

I myself can not live wihtout fruit, and sweets....aaaahhh! Thats the hardest.
I watched a program on obesity in the USA, they said that food and especially SUGAR was just as addicting as cocain. I believe that. I have never done drugs, but I know that desparate feeling of wanting that high, a piece cake; a soft drink, and candy. But if you don't buy it, you won't be tempted.
