  • 174.4 this week. It's going well and I am getting into the groove now.

    Week 4: 231

I can do better than 6 pounds next month!
  • Weighed in this weeks at 243.TOM is here and creating havoc with my diet. I've had no Internet this week so it's been hard to get here for motivation. Hope to be more involved next week.
  • I think I forgot to actually post this week's weigh-in, which is the same as last week sadly. Better than a gain I guess. Not feeling in the best of moods this morning so hopefully I'll perk up during the day.

  • Oh.. We're actually a month into this. I've lost 5.6 pounds all together. And I've managed to lose a little something every week. Thats actually great! Don't know about inches, I only measure every now and then and usually I don't write it down so I don't know.
Also yesterday I had a mini breakthrough with my running. Its usually torture for me but I started and kept running with no problem at all. I kind of enjoyed it?! Really weird And I felt like I could run like 10K. But my frinds leg started hurting so we had to stop.
Anyways I'm going away for the weekend. Hopefully the weather will clear up so I can swim and enjoy the beach because if I don't I'll be stuck with visiting family members that always put food on the table when I'm there
Hope everyone's doing fine! Have a great weekend!
  • Hey guys,
Great job this week. I'm going to re-do the Basics pic for next week. I'm adding a new rule. If you don't weigh in 2 weeks in a row (without letting me know in advance), you're out. Next week I'm also going to clean up the chart and get rid of the drop outs. But for now, here it is.

  • 151 pounds down!!! amazing!
  • Scarlett

Awesome chart. Good luck for your 5k tomorrow! I bet you're all nerves, in a good way! Hope you make your goal of finishing it in <32 mins!

    Briannalee

17.2 lbs total in 4 wks is awesome! Congrats!

Great job everyone on the progress you've made during this challenge!
  • Sniperhil - thanks a bunch. I'm going to sleep soon because the race is at 8:30 am. I'm obviously not going to make my ONEderland goal as I'm at 204. I know my time will be an improvement over my last one which I did in 37 min, I'm just hoping I get somewhat close to my initial goal of 32. I ended up hitting a slump in my training and am not where I'd like to be, but I'm going to give it my best shot.
  • Thought I'd give an update. I did my 5K today in 35 minutes.

I didn't meet either of my sig goals, but I purposely made them super ambitions in order to motivate me. From my first 5K on May, 21st to today June 18th (less than a month later), I slashed my time from 37 minutes and some change to 35 even and lost 12 pounds. This is definitely a result I can be happy about. Especially considering ~6 weeks ago I started running and struggled with 60 second intervals. Thanks for the support. Now I need to find a new race to sign up for

That's AWESOME Scarlett! You are well on your way to goal!
5k's are so difficult too, I've only done a couple, and one of them I walked most the way.

I'm sure your hard work at the charts kept weight loss at the forefront of your mind, and I must say, you are helping us ALL with weight loss with your inspiring losses and the graphics and time you put into this thread.

    THANK YOU!
  • What will INSPIRE you to lose, Lose, LOSE this weight!
In words, stories, pictures...let's post and share something to look FORWARD to after this weight is OFF!

I bought this dress last summer, thinking it would look amazing on me. I bought a size that fit just a tad smaller, because I thought I could lose maybe 10 pounds and fit into it perfectly. Now, nearly 20 pounds heavier than I was then, I don't even bother looking at the dress.

It's the most beautiful dress I own, it's so elegant, and the perfect color. I had been looking for one like this for ages, and wanted to get it as soon as I saw it in Las Vegas. I found it in Beverly Hills and bought it right away on sale.

My inspiration is Keira Knightly, I just love her! I saw her movie "Atonement", and in it she wears a long green dress, and since watching that, I've been wanting a green dress similar to hers. I even bought gold toned heels and a green and gold ring to match it, and the ring reminds me of that 30's period.

I can't wait to drop the LB's and try this dress on again this summer!
