I am actually in college. I'm sitting here trying to do homework right now lol. I have another month left until finals.
I'm really hoping for a whoosh after my TOM is over. It should be soon, hopefully.
On the bright side, even though my weights on a yo-yo the past week with TOM, I went shopping yesterday and was able to buy size 11 capris! Last summer I was wearing a 17 in the same brand. This is huge for me, since the littlest I can remember being is a size 15 in 6th grade. Now I'm an 11! I tried on a size 13 first, and couldn't believe when they were too big. I think seeing that number has really given me a huge boost of motivation.
I'm definitely stepping up the workouts this week. I feel like I keep making excuses to not go to the gym since my TOM started and I lost motivation due to weight gain. I've only been once since wednesday when I usually would have been there at least 3 or 4 times by now. I do the majority of my gym time when I'm free on the weekend and I was majorly slacking. Now I have the gym, 30 day shred dvd, and my wii and balance ball. I have no more excuses.
Loren- We all have those days, trust! Just get back up on the wagon and keep going! We're with you!
Madison- Thanks :-) And that's the spirit! One day isn't a big deal- it'll come down soon enough!
Kelli- Thanks! And good for you for recognizing what's holding you back from getting the workouts in! The hardest part is just getting to the gym.
I'm having a good day so far. The soy ice cream in my freezer is calling to me. The bloody stuff is $7 for a container the size of a ben and jerry's, though, so even more incentive to have just a bite or two. Maybe after a late lunch...
I've GOT to start working out. So I really feel you today, Kelli. Unlike you, I'm doing zero workouts which is no good at all, and I know my weight loss is going to stall eventually for it. If I just kick the cigarettes it won't be so bad. I think I may move up my quit goal to tomorrow. Amen to 'no more excuses'!
Kelli – Way to stick to it – you can do it! Also, congrats on getting into a smaller size than you thought you needed, that’s awesome!
WannaBe – I applaud you on the vegan thing, I definitely wouldn’t be able to stick to that one! My Master’s is in TESOL. I thought I wanted to be an ESL teacher when I started; I don’t think I really do anymore, but I figured I had so much done that I might as well finish it. I might want to do the ESL thing eventually. Good luck on the quitting smoking thing, whenever you decide it’s right for you!
Madison – Way to get back down! Go go go!
Redliss – Welcome!
LNM130 – The brownies happened and they are gone now, time to get back on plan and put it behind you!
So after my mysterious bounce down to 162.9 on the weekend (mysterious because it was the day after I sat on the couch and did nothing but eat) I am back up to 164.2 (I guess it caught up with me). This afternoon I have an interview for a part-time job at a makeup store (praying it goes well, I REALLY want to work for them) and then I'm heading to the gym to knock out a few miles on the treadmill. Hope you guys all have a great day!
Ugh. Have had a CRAZY two weeks at work! Didn't lose again this week, but I guess the good news is that I didn't gain either. Definitely did not have a good week last week with eating or working out. Things should calm down a bit this week, and then next week is Spring Break! My goal is to work out a lot next week when I don't have school, maybe do some swimming if it's not too cold. I also joined sparkpeople to help keep me on track with my calories. Looks like a lot of you had good losses this past week! Keep up the good work!

167! Only 2lbs over my pre-TOM weight. Let's hope when it's completely over I'll drop those 2. I was soo excited to see that number on the scale again.
Hi guys! I'm brand new but I'm so excited. I just broke out of the 170s today and made it to 168 which was my goal for the end of the month. Here's hoping I don't hit a plateau now.
Hot4Teacher - Not gaining is definitely better than the alternative! I'm sure spring break will be great for getting back on track!
Madison - You will make it, you have a couple more days!
Welcome rbphoenix and Transporter!
I'm hoping that I will be back down to the overweight range tomorrow morning. I skipped BodyPump this afternoon because my interview overlapped with it, so after that i did five miles on the treadmill. It took an hour and six minutes (I am slooooow), but I need to keep working on that because my friend talked me into doing a 15K on April 9th - eek!
Ok, so my work outs are about to seriously get ramped up. I signed up for one bootcamp class I found on Living Social, that's on Sundays. I found another boot camp on Groupon, I'm going to do that one on Wednesdays and Saturdays. I've got two friends who are going to do one boot camp each with me.
My aunt (the trainer) is no longer offering her free class on Wednesdays, but found a way to get me for free at her work to take her class on Tuesdays and Thursdays. She does an aerobics class, but it's on trampolines. It's called Skyrobics, hehehe! And I'll be doing my C25k, probably just whenever I can fit it in.
Boot camp #1 is for 5 weeks
Boot camp #2 is for 6 weeks (they have an eating plan and a 'fat flush' that they will probably start to sell me on, I might take ideas, but that's about it.)
Wow Lnm, just looking at your schedule is making me tired! Good luck with all of your classes! The trampoline aerobics sounds like it should be fun!
Audri, I'm impressed that you can do five miles. That's something I am working toward myself, the longer distances. Even if it did take a while, congrats on finishing!
Hi rbphoenix! Amazing loss so far, congrats! Try not to think too much about a plateau. Do what you need to do and you will see results!
As for me, sparkpeople seems to be working really well for me. I have logged all my food and averaged around 1300 calories a day so far. I have managed to do some sort of work out each day too. Hopefully with TOM ending and this new program, I will have a big loss this week!
Hot4Teacher, I log all my calories on another site, and it really helps me keep on track. I logged in at 165.3 today, I hope it sticks! I'm averaging ~1250 calories a day, and my workouts have increased and will increase even more for 6 weeks, so it will be interested to see what the scale says.
Audri I can't wait to be able to do 5 miles. I ran all through high school so I know I can do it, it's just hard starting over like this.
rbpheonix- As someone who just came out of a plateau, I know how frustrating they are. If one does happen to you, just stick with it, and eventually the scale will move.
