So I've decided not to give up. I went to the gym yesterday and ran for 30 min on the elliptical. And surprise! My period started! I hope this means no more bloating soon. I also started protein shakes like Jackie had mentioned helped her. I started recording my calories and found out that I have only been eating around 1100 calories a day. So the protein shakes should help me get more calories. I just really can't eat more. I would've been at like 600 if I hadn't had a lot of meat for lunch. I'm back to 169.5 today, so let's hope I stay in the 160s.

169 today!! 14 pounds till goal!!

The saying about the less you have to lose, the more obvious it is, is really true. At my highest weight it took 10 pounds to see a difference..now it takes 1-2 pounds.

hey girls!

Kelli - I'm glad you got your motivation back! :-) 1100 is reaallllyy low for an active girl! sounds like youve got a plan and I bet you it will work. good for you !!

audri- running is such an awesome workout! I'm glad you enjoy it, it will work some magic on your body! The best shape I was ever in was when I ran regularly...I'd love to start up again but I really need to kick the cigarette habit first, it feels like my chest is gonna explode when I jog. lol

Loren- I say, give it a few more days. Especially after doing an intense workout like the C25K, your muscles are gonna hang onto water, as you know. Since youre drinking lots of water and staying within your calories, you will for sure see a drop in the next few days. Hang in there!!

Kriz- congrats! we hope to see you soon in the 150s/140s thread! :-D

summerlove- wtg! you are sooo close! I can imagine that you look great at that weight on a 5'10" frame!

madison- congrats on your losses!

I've been peeking at the scale the last few days and it looks like my .2lbs up from official WI was a fluke last week b/c I've been seeing 166 point something for the last few days. I hope it sticks!

I've been having some serious NSV's in the last week. Today I was at a friends house and she offered me KD...man that stuff is AWFUL!! (I used to LOVE it, I'd eat a WHOLE box for dinner! :-O ) I turned it down because its not vegan and I know how bad it is for my weight loss. What I've been noticing is that a lot of the food I turn down because it isn't vegan is also unhealthy, for example birthday cake, ice cream, cheesy nachos, pizza, etc. So since I changed my diet I've been getting a lot of nutritional food that is either not processed at all, or is minimally :-) That's not to say that all fattening stuff isn't vegan...french fries, chips, some kinds of chocolate and cookies etc. are! But it's just become very important to me to eat what will make me look and feel good, and it's really paying off!

So there's my PETA pitch,..lmao! Have a great, OP day ladies!

Wannabe - I can't get on the vegan wagon with you BUT I definitely have learned that what I put in my body needs to fuel me, it needs to be good for me & the empty calories I put in are bad for me for tons of reasons. It's amazing once that light bulb turns on.

Wannabe - Thanks for the encouragement. Sent several texts to my aunt (personal trainer). My average calorie intake is ~1275 over the last 11 days. She thinks my body is just fighting the weight loss. I've been around my current weight and 172 for a few years.

Just a quick check in - yesterday I was down to 163.4 which is just into the overweight category. This morning I am back up to 163.6, but hopefully I'll drop back down quick! Off to write 30+ pages of Master's project now!

Madison- I agree! Once your perpective on food changes, weight loss comes almost naturally :-) for me, it's just a matter of keeping it in mind for the long term lol Well done! Only 5 days to restore your old weight is great! You can make it, you're doing so well!! I'm hoping with you :-) How was your Cali trip? Where'd ya go? I'd love to see it one day...all I've seen of the US to date is Niagara Falls, NY, but I'm heading to Orlando on May 7. Sooo excited!!

Loren- Anytime :-) We're all in this together! Your body will give up the fight soon enough. And how awesome is that- to have a relative as a personal trainer!!

Audri- Wtg on moving down a category! Good luck on your Master's project, it sounds like a whole lotta work. :-S The longest paper I've written so far is 11 pages, but I'm only in first year! lol What are you taking your Master's in?

Official WI is tomorrow and I'm excited! lol I've been peeking at the scale almost every day and it looks like I'm in for a big loss :-D

Have a great, OP day ladies! <3

Maybe too soon for this group but hit 179 this morning! 6 lbs until healthy weight! It may be early for the group, but I anticipate only forward progress. My next weigh in won't be for a while, as I will be traveling but hoping for another 2 plus pound loss.

redliss - It's not too early! You're in the 170s! Congrats!

I hit a new low today: 164.6!! I'm gonna have to work for that 163 by the end of March, but it'll be worth it.

168.2 today. Didn't get to work out this weekend because I've been buried in homework. Looks like I'm not going to be out of the 160s by the end of March. I was so close before TOM.

redliss- welcome and have fun on your trip!

Kelli- sorry to hear that :-( It sucks when you have a setback, but that's life, right? You have a new goal for April! and maybe you'll get a whoosh after TOM, right? ...are you in university/college? I have my last week of school this week, then exams :-D

sooooooo drumroll......Madison I am at your weight this morning! :-D I KNEW that my gain last week was false...I measured the day after my official WI day, and I was eating my largest meal at night. So it looks like I lost 4.8lbs in a weeks but that is obviously not so, it must have been spread out over last week too. This is awesome because I am eating till I'm satisfied and still losing, without counting cals, just serving sizes (measured out).

What a great start to the week! :-D

I hope you ladies will enjoy losses as well and have a great, OP day! <3

Still nothing. I'll measure on Thursday. Maybe I'll do it tonight and see if there is anything. I'm sick and totally binged on brownies yesterday. Feeling a little better today, but I refuse to let myself down like I did yesterday. If I just lost an ounce I'd be happy. Something. My body is fighting me hardcore, apparently.

Starting W2D1 of C25k tonight. Ordered my new running shoes today, should be here on Wednesday.

Yay Wannabe!! Congrats!

LNM - I'm sorry about the brownies. I could eat brownies all day everyday, but today is a new day! You're gonna rock it today!

I was up to 165.2 today & at first I was thinking WTF!? but then I calmed down & thought "hey, maybe I'll get a big whoosh tomorrow!" So, I'm crossing my fingers & staying OP today.
