Hello ladies! I am inspired by all of your hard work and results. I should be getting my copy of p90x in 2 weeks or so. I would love to join all of you and get great results.

Does anyone use the results and recovery formula? I'm a supplement junkie and always wanna try new stuff.

HAH! YEY!

I realized it and I was all "OMG!!" and my poor husband looked at me like I was nuts. But, oh well, I have 2 more yellow pills and then I'll go back to my weeks of green.

And Jenn? I use my band, my 5lb hand weights and my 10lb kettlebell. I mix them up, but I generally use the bands... I need to get more weights!

@Eve - I don't use any of the supplements or anything, but I've read on the P90X message boards that some people do.

@Jenn - don't be nervous! I too use hand weights - ranging from 5-15 pounds. I started with the 5s on nearly all of the moves, and now am up to the 15s for some of them.

Is the kettle bell needed? Or do you just to throw it in there for a change up?

I did Core Synergetics today! I was pretty impressed with myself. I had to do modified push ups and I skipped a few of the "bonus" parts at the end. But I made it through!

I did get a little nauseous though. Do you think I should eat something first? I was thinking maybe half a piece of toast? (I get up at 4:30, have a cup of coffee to get woke up and then do my work out. Then I take a shower, get ready for work, get my little up at 7 and we eat breakfast at 7:15ish.)

I just use it because it weighs more, and it's all I have.. And I'm too cheap to buy something else, lol.

And I also get queazy if I don't eat something first.. I generally have an apple or something small, and then I'll have my oatmeal after I get to work if its in the morning, and at night, I'll have dinner. (Using my apple snack as my afternoon snack!)

One more week till weigh in!! I want to knooooooow!

The first time I did the Core Synergistics dvd, I got dizzy and nauseous, but never again since that first time.

Great job on your first day!!! I've been doing this awhile and still have to modify the pushups. They are HARD for me. I like that the program is easily modifiable though.

I modify so much. Pushups fo' sho'. Girly pushups all the way!

I agree that it is really adaptable, you can change things and do different orders, and its still really awesome. Yey.

In other news: I've alllllmost convinced husband to try it!! YEY!!

Day 2 down. Core Synergetics definitely had my heart beating faster and it was harder to breath than the Cardio X, but I still enjoyed it. I like how he incorporates a bunch of work out styles into, keeps me from getting bored.

I had the same issue with the Cardio X dvd - I didn't really feel like I was getting a true Cardio workout. I've dropped the Cardio X, Kenpo and Plyo dvds and run or use the elliptical instead. My heart rate was only getting into the 120s-130s with the dvds, and I can get up into the 160s while running or on the elliptical. Made more sense for me.

Pretty good, I'm really looking forward to finding out what I weigh... For the first time ever, lol.

You?

I kind of just want to get it over with... But it will help me be good on Halloween!

I'm feeling good. I'm gearing myself up for the fact that I'm pretty sure I haven't lost 17 pounds and I'm not in the 100's quite yet. I know I lose slowly, and that's okay, because I'm sticking with it. I'm curious to see my measurements as well - I know those have changed some.

I do feel pretty confident, however, that I am in the 2oh's, and think by Thanksgiving, I may be down to 199 or less.

Okay, so reading through this thread, I'm convinced I want to do this. I looked at lots of reviews and blogs. Some recommended to do Power 90 first if you currently aren't active. I'm not. I've been "dieting" since July. I've lost about ten lbs. And I just haven't worked out. I figure since you guys have done it (or at least started it), you can give me your thoughts. Should I do Power 90 first? Perhaps just get P90x and if it is too intense, get Power 90? ...I'm leaning toward that. Ultimately even if it is too tough, I'll get to it after Power 90...thoughts? Thanks!
