Just do the same thing everyday for the same amount of time and watch your speed and time increase. Mine sure did. I remember going out with my kids when I first started my journey in 2010 and I wasn't outside moving for 20 minutes before starting to feel like my heart was coming out of my chest. I had to go sit down. But I kept trying and my efforts paid off. I still can't run for longer than a minute not sure why. I was gonna give it a shot today but I didn't want to kill my knees knowing that I have to go to work tonight (3am) and be on my feet for 8 hours or more. We'll get there trust me and we can do it together oh I hate to exercise but I love the treadmill with my music Oh re: warm sheets, I have some Jersey sheets that made me hot after awhile, they are worth a try
ap14, sorry to hear your room is so cold at night. I like my room cold when I sleep so I turn the heat down but have to turn it back up as soon as start moving around. Maybe some nice thick flannels or those new onesies will help, just a thought. Hope you get some energy and find a way to get warmer Good job on the 3lbs GONE. Thank you! I got up and slept with socks on and thick furry PJ pants. I have a mattress heater that I'm going to put on tonight. I love my room cold, but there comes a point where it's way too cold (even for me)!

I had a great down comforter that I used in the winter...until the dog bit a hole in it. I have one of those Duraflame heaters, but I opted for the cheaper no remote version. So I have to get up and turn it off...grrr.
That's pretty much how I sleep at night LOL I pack myself in pretty tight under about 4-5 blankets. Our house is strange though. We have AC/heat through the entire house, but the upstairs (my room) doesn't get the AC/heat pushed through enough. It stinks, but it's really nice in the summer since I get my own AC window unit and can make it as cold as I want!
Hi everyone. We had not one, but two cakes at work today. One with the goodbye lunch I spoke of, and another for one of the research coordinators who is also leaving at the end of the week. I stuck to my plan and skipped both cakes. Let me tell you, that Cake Boss, "It's da Bomb" cake looked and smelled fabulous. I'm going home and having spaghetti that my husband made. I had him email me his recipe, and I put it into Myfittnesspal and the program figured out hom many calories and the nutritional information for me. Now, I can enjoy it with out any guilt.
For those of you in the ultra cold, keep warm. Our recent cold snap finally left. Now we are just waiting for the next one. Oh, and I would love to have a window AC in my room. We had a new AC put in this summer, and new windows this fall. Maybe that will make a difference, but our room is over the unheated garage, and it has very little insulation. I hate sleeping in a hot room. Even in the winter we have three fan going.

I was bad yesterday, ate 1786 calories. Back up to 218.2 Today is walking day (doing Mon,Wed, Fri). My legs hurt, my calfs hurt and my BUTT hurts lol. Damn those hills!!!!

Well, I got on the scale. Up 3.5 lbs, what and no way are what I'm thinking. I know my calorie count doesn't equate to that gain, so water weight it's the only logical. I have kidney disease so that can go up fairly easy. Never give up, right. hit the gym last night and burned an even 700cal. Gonna eat some healthy stuff and hit it again. This too shall pass. Next weigh in Sunday.

I didn't go walking today for the same reason plus I need to nap before church, but I will tomorrow for sure, no excuses. I only had inclines on the treadmill though, good for you on the hills
