I watched the video.....very interesting. I have been making a real effort today to increase my water intake. I'm hoping that will maybe help.

The HCG diet kind of wigs me out a little bit. You can't even exercise on it, really. You don't have enough energy. It makes me a bit sad.
Birthday sleep-over sounds fun! I used to love sleepovers as a little girl. Now I hate sharing my bed. LOL.

thinkthin- I think most everyone's body loves fat. It's so good for you, but my ideas of government sponsored nutrition has changed DRAMATICALLY since I discovered the Weston Price Foundation and the real food movement. And then I watched, "Sugar: The bitter truth" yesterday- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dBnniua6-oM

Oh...And let's see..what's new with me? I don't know how to use my scale. LOL. When I first got on this morning is said, 232.6, I said, "I'll take it!" Well...let's see...Jumped on again...back in the 233s. Hurumph. I took my 232.6. I think I need to set my scale down and not move it and take the first number I see.

I work late tonight so I'm having leftover chicken. Also started a batch of kombucha this morning.

I've lost that loving feeling with the scale I have been afraid to weigh in the past two mornings due to my hate hate relationship with it.

I am leaving tomorrow and going on vacation and will be back late Monday night. I hope all the walking I do in Sedona and at the Grand Canyon will make the scale show a weight loss on Tuesday morning.

Everyone have an awesome weekend!!

Belinda, I hope that you have a really lovely vacation! I too will be going to vacation. Andrew and I are going to a few breweries. I'm really excited and I know I need to live my life, but part of me is like, "ARG! I JUST got back on track! I don't want to derail myself again!"

Thinkthin, How did things go with increasing your water? Also- I watched another interesting video with the same doctor yesterday- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xn1cI8FNU6M
"Sugar - A Sweet Addiction"

I even think I experienced a bit of what they were talking about yesterday. Last night, I was overwhelmed with my desire for sushi. "Oh! It would make me SO happy!" Turns out...sushi didn't live up to my desires. So I ended up having a bit of popcorn and chocolate to compensate. BOO.

At least maybe if I know what's going on- I can control it a bit more. I'll also remind myself to not go to that sushi place. :-/ I also have a supplement that turns into dopamine, maybe next time that I feel, "I want, I waNT, I WANT!" I will just try a little dopamine instead.

ETA: Oh- I'm also down a pound, but I lost that pound a week ago...and a couple times this week, so it's not as exciting.

The scale finally budged this morning! The only thing different I did was increase my water intake yesterday. Is that the secret??

Yup. My center says decrease sodium and up water to at least 64 ounces and you will be quite surprised!

I have the water down...but not the sodium. I love my salt.

I'm pretty good about the sodium, I really try and watch the sodium content in my food and I never salt anything. I really drank a lot of water yesterday, somewhere around 120oz. I was in the bathroom quite frequently

started to have a down moment since the scale went up, to mentally berate myself for having a piece of pie, but it lasted maybe 2 seconds, before healthy Angi stepped in and said, "are you going to avoid pie/cake at your kids birthday parties forever, or do just what you did? Which was plan for it, make sure you had the spare calories built up over the last few days, have a small piece and stop with that single piece? You also know it had gluten and sugar, so you drink some more water, eat some more fiber and this too shall pass". I think I like healthy Angi and her mental attitude!

I'm eagerly anticipating my official weigh-in this week. Not that it is going to be great, but it wont be a gain (I don't think).

Well poop. I'm up a pound from last week's weigh-in. I'm so sad that it really doesn't take very much for me to be "off plan" and not make much progress.
