Hi June. I am still hanging in there just very discouraged with myself and my lack of discipline while going through this rough patch. I have not exercised since Monday, my eating has been erratic and my water intake is way down. I didn't even bother to weigh today I was afraid of what it would say.

Small Steps - please don't beat yourself up sweetie! You've had a rough patch, but you know what to do and how to do it. I have confidence and faith that you will get back on track and come out stronger than ever.

June that "push" must have worked because this morning I weighed 238.0!! I'll hang here for a few more days though just to be certain.

SmallSteps - Aw, you've had a big scare! Stress (especially, THAT kind of stress) is tough to keep your routine up in for even those without weight struggles. You'll get back in the swing of things. I've found that I pick ONE thing, exercise or eating on plan, focus on that for a day or two and then add the other piece. Just so you can re-gain the "can do" confidence. Maybe that might be helpful.

Peggy - 238.0 WOOHOO for you!!! Maybe I'll catch you on the next "decade" just as your leave again.

June - Go you, on working out this last week!! Did you decide on a new scale?

Had my 7 yr anniversary dinner last night - sushi. I overate. And not like a little either. I've been SO used to smaller sized meals that that I literally laid on the couch after dinner and was just UNCOMFORTABLE. I went back over what I had eaten in my mind and decided I could have had about 2/3s and been happy. I'm using as a lesson moment. I'll try to recall HOW uncomfy I was, so maybe next time I'll eat a more reasonable amount. Between over eating and the soy sauce me weight is up, but I'm pretty sure its just the salt. In over news, I finally got my elliptical dug out after my husband put boxes all around it. Getting up in the AM for a workout!

Smallsteps - I'm so happy to hear that the 5K went well! I was eyeing that 5K in Vegas this year and wanted to make the trip...maybe next time How are you feeling?

Sluggerbean - Woohoo on the 30's....can't wait until I see you in the next thread! Way to go!

Sarah - I haven't quite gotten that new scale yet. I was thinking I may save up my "fun money" for a month or so to get that ultra one that I really want. Happy Anniversary! Celebrations are so hard for me to remain in control. At least it was only Sushi...could have been a LOT worse Hope your workout this morning was awesome!

I'm doing pretty well. I weighed in at 246 this morning so that put a smile on my face The weekend was a little tough to remain in control with Cinco de Mayo and the anniversary of my grandfather's death. I had the urge to eat all weekend but remained in control which I was really proud of...

Good Afternoon June,

I have some blisters on my feet and some minor aches and pains but I am doing awesome otherwise! Thanks for asking!

I recieved "scale shock" this morning when I got on the scale and weighed 9.6 pounds more than my last weigh in. I do realize it is water retention from the pending TOM and water gain from my high sodium splurge this weekend.

I'm so glad to hear that you are doing well! It is the worst when you work your tail off and the scale goes UP! This has happened to me before too when I put in the extra little effort. I'm sure with some water and time that scale will go back down.

P.S. I too have a weakness for Ramen

Oh I may know better than anyone Smallsteps haha. Our roommate LOVES Ramen and has no sense of healthy eating so my cubbards are constantly stocked full. Those darn Ramen are always staring me right in the face! How dare they!

I'm doing pretty well today. The sun is shining and I look forward to my lunch walk. My husband and roommate have proclaimed today "Happy Cinco de Mayo" day (observed) since they had to work on Saturday. Here's to hoping that I can avoid the chips and margaritas tonight

Yaaaaay Sarah!!

Things are nuts over here; I bought a car this weekend, and for the last 2 days I've been crazy-nauseous with heartburn and back pain. Not much appetite, which is good, but absolutley NO energy, which is less good. I'm pretty much just trying to sip water and do a little walking. 244.6 this morning.

But normally I luuuuurves me some ramen!

June - Sounds like a party at your place, Im jealous, enjoy!! You'll have to tell me when you get the scale. I'll be excited to hear you opinion.

Luceia- I'm impressed by your willness to walk when not feeling well! I'm such a baby, I take the smallest illness and turn it into an opportunity lay in bed all day and watch Star Trek reruns. Hope you feel better soon!
