Had a really odd day with eating today. I got sidetracked this morning and accidentally skipped breakfast. My son and I went rollerskating for a little while this afternoon and went to a birthday dinner for a friend of mine at a chinese buffet. I had only eaten 100 calories when I got to the dinner. I definitely indulged but totally didnt go overboard. I chowed on the snap peas and carrots that they had. I loaded my plate with them twice! LOL I had 4 chicken wings and 3 pcs of sushi, some cold shrimp and a few bites of tempura seafood something or other. I gave the meal 900 calories total. I don't think it was that high but I'm really unsure because Chinese food is SOOO high in calories. I didn't overeat but I want to be as accurate as I can with my calories.
I'm feeling hungry now so once my son is in bed, I am going to have the rest of my bag of salad. I've got some deli turkey that I can throw on top of it. Needless to say, I am drinking water like it's going out of style.
Trying to be proactive. Hoping that I won't have TOO bad of a jump in the morning.
I had to come and report how well I did even with having company over today! I made the cheesy mashed potatoes they requested, but I changed up the recipe -- it was 1/3 potato, 1/3 celery root, 1/3 cauliflower...for cheese I used ultra low fat cream cheese and a bit of cheddar -- totally yummy, but I didn't go overboard. Other than that it was protein + veggies, and I bought a big fruit tray for dessert. (The kids had 2 bite brownies). I weighed myself a few minutes ago and I'm only up 2lbs from this morning, so that bodes well for tomorrow. I'm proud of myself for not using the company as an excuse to go really off plan. Next hurdle is to order well tomorrow -- we are going out for dinner with the same folks.
Sounds like you handled the buffet well Vixsin, if you do gain in the morning it will probably be water retention, should be short term.

Down 2.6 this morning - and off goes the water weight from the party! Been a very odd month weight wise and otherwise. I will be very glad to see the back of February !
I have had no sleep what so ever! I am so glad that I am going to the endo tomorrow. I could have ran a marathon last night! I have a lower dosage of Synthroid from when I had to take 2 different dosages of meds. I took a whole pill and then a half. This combination is 32 mcg less than what I was taking. I don't know that it will make a difference for tonight, but we'll see.
Whew - now I hope I can manage to stay here! 8.3lb loss for the month so far. Since I'm in Onederland, which was my goal for the month, I'm revising it to STAY in Onederland.
Ack! I'm going to break the losing streak this morning. I gained .2, but I'm pretty happy with that overall.
It's a holiday here in Ontario today -- Family Day -- and we are celebrating by going swimming with some friends this morning...then out for dinner later tonight. Please please please don't let them choose Boston Pizza...I'm off to go check out the menu to find something nice and on plan for me.
