Shy - it's a beautiful ring. Mine is very simple & has a very small diamond - I always joke you need a magnifying glass to see it. But it's special to me.
My NSV today is that I bought bras with matching panties at La Senza today. They may be the largest size they carry but they're still in regular sizes!!! Woohoo! I'm not sure I've ever had matching sets before.
Today I completed a really tough workout from Jillian Michael's book, which was extremely tough for me...and I did cardio afterward and sweated a ton! It reminds me what a hard workout feels like...and this coming week I start her 12 week workout plan.
Thanks midwife, shy, and nelie. I've got to tell you. If anyone, in January, had told me that I'd be in a size 14 for Thanksgiving at my grandma's house I would have laughed at them. If anyone had told me that I'd be smaller than my sister when we went to Thanksgiving, I would have laughed. If anyone would have said any of what I've done this year....I just wouldn't have believed it. It has been a REALLY fun thing to do!
My NSV is just that I am loving my body. I'm still a good ways away from my goal but I'm so enjoying feeling my muscles, seeing more definition, a shallower belly button, a waist, my breasts being so much more defined than my stomach...
It's a wonderful thing to be appreciating my body instead of hating it.

I have short stubby fingers to go with my short stubby body lol. I have to keep my nails very long just so I look like I have fingers instead of little stubs lol
I have really slender and tiny hands normally so me going up to a tight size 7 for my ring finger was a big deal. my pinkies were a 3-4 when I was 185 lbs... I wear a ladies 6 - 6 1/2 leather glove even now. Must be a slim fit. I use to wear my nails at about 1 - 1 1/2 inches long to look like I had more "normal" sized hands... LOL! Now I am ok with them looking a bit like a childs hands at times.

That ring is really pretty! Tension rings are very cool! We looked at them but chose another route.

They look a bit like a diamond forget me not and are about the same size. The diamonds appear to be set using claws, but actually have been set upon a drop of molten gold. I sent it in for a re-setting/tightening last fall and he did it free of charge... I don't dare have anyone else do it though.

My pinkies are a 2 1/2-4 when I am slim and I am just under 5'10"... At least yours "fit" you... *chuckle* My feet are similar... Size 9 length and right now I can wear down to a size 7 open back, but when I am slim I can wear down to a ladies size 5. Should have head me wail over the change in glove size from a 5 1/2-6 to a 6-6 1/2. Having "normal" width hands and feel was a hard one for me as I had always enjoyed my slender hands, wrists, ankles and feet.
Yes I know that some would kill to have that but for me it was a... oh lord moment. You should see how excited I am that I can get my size 7 on my right hand ring finger... I was doing the happy pee-pee dance earlier!
1. I sat in a cheap plastic lawn chair and fit nicely, and didn't feel that the thing was going to snap and break any second. I'm sure I am very much over the weight limit recommended for those $5 chairs, but for the first time, it didn't feel that way.
2. I experienced a funny "something's different about you but I can't figure out what" moment. At the same event, a woman came up to me and stared intently, asking have I changed my hair? Is it darker? Is it a different stye? LOL. No, nothing's different with my hair. Then she said the new hair framed my face beautifully and made my blue eyes pop. It's quite lovely, she said. (My eyes are green)
3. Finally, finally, someone noticed that I have lost weight. A friend I haven't seen in months said she can tell I've lost a lot of weight. Hurray! Not a compliment about my hair or vague reference to me looking nice that day. 3 weeks at 50 lbs. lost and finally someone saw the weight loss for what it was. It made me feel great.

While NSVs are a little hard to come by anymore, I had my body fat tested today (it's been 5 months), and I met my 2007 goal of 24%, and being in the "fitness" category of body fat. Think I'll go for 21% or less for 2008. Also was measured, and I've lost 3" in my waist since June, which puts me well under the unhealthy waist measurement that's been in the news lately.
