Good morning to all!
WI down but still 'up' 169.8
Yesterday breakfast with sister and BIL then errands ...mostly excuses to be in the car with a/c. Today, well this am we are going to tackle the garage paint cans then thinking about attending the highland games and watch a bit of caber tossing LOL

I am trying a new painting experiment. I am trying to paint an 'owl' on a feather...we will see how that works out

Jen I have no writing ability at all so kudos to you
Diana we all have a few days in a row where we have to give the body a rest and you just did bravo
ciecie do you track all those steps of yours?
Frustrated it sounds like an exciting time for you with the move but change can be scary
novangel I could never really get going on 30 day but kudo's to you for being able to
kelijpa I wish we would get some rain here....everyone thinks it is always raining here and nothing could be farther from the truth 90+ this past week and has not rained here for weeks

Thanks everyone. Jillian Michael's DVD'S are extremely challenging but very effective. At first it seems impossible but after a week or two it gets easier and then it's time to go up a level.

today is my mom's birthday. I requested my ds1 to call and wish her a happy b day with me...

I'm going to send her a little money for her bday. She's on ssi. She's with my brothers and sister's so they probably will pamper her some today too

Good evening. I am back down to 164.2 but not at my lowest. Yesterday I goofed up and ate a cheeseburger and onion rings. Wound up wtih 1900 + calories but at least I burned a lot for a net of fewer calories than allegedy burned. Today is good at 15,312 steps today so I should make my goal. Getting ready to cook supper.

Wound up with 19,035 steps for the day so far

HI all. Closed the day with 1491 calories. App is saying 300 over...wth?

ok...think I may have finally finished with ovulation as my left ovary really hurt today...may mean another bump up...

I had a subway with a lot of veggies for dinner and the onions gave me a fit...so I made my own bubbly with some stevia sweetened water flavor... don't know how that will affect things either. Taste was OK in that.

Nancy woot on those steps!!!

ciecie, glad friend got you out of rain

Diana, glad you are still doing OK. What did you think of xylitol...

Good Morning. 165.0 bounce up -. Today is yoga. Hope the issue is solid waste as I sure put in a lot of steps yesterday and did not overeat.

Getting ready to grab a dog and go for my 4 miles of walking and dog grooming before work. Definite reset of daily goal to 16,000 steps. Yesterday did tally at 19,243 or 8.9 miles. Avg speed only 3.2 mph though. Working on all that.

Stopped the BP meds. My BP was going up and I think maybe the losartan was retaining potassium that can drive it up - I dunno - this is one medicine that has no rebound effect and my RHR is too low which can also be an effect. We will see but no HCTZ can cause some water retention.

Good Morning, Everyone!

Jen I tried the xylitol in the iced coffee yesterday. The jury is out for me. Do you have to use something hot to dissolve it? I noticed that with the one I have. Also, do you need to use more to sweeten your coffee than other sweeteners?

Epic fail after I posted last night. DH came home late from working at the farm and brought home Chinese takeout. Today's devotion really speaks to me. I have not been feeling the commitment recently. Friday and last night I ate after I posted. I never do that. I feel so swollen and then the voices in my head tell me that I am failing and I dread my next weigh in on the first. I know I need to recommit and move forward. Those voices are what keep people from coming back here when they have a relapse. Then it spirals downhill from there. I don't want to be that person. I have so many fears about gaining weight again. I have also been having extra bites and tastes of DH's meals that needs to end.

I am recommitting and refocusing. No matter what the scale says on the first. Recommitting now is better than recommitting later.

Last night: Full Body Standing Stretch
This Morning: Oxycise

Have a Blessed day!

Today's devotion speaks to me.

Copied from Crosswalk Devotions for Dieters
July 30
Colossians 3:23
And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men.

Alice was right: Doug had been doing his diet halfway. His heart hadn't really been in it, and Alice asked him why he was even doing it at all. Now, he felt he was ready. Alice had offered the challenge, and he aimed to take her up on it. No more halfway measures: he was going to throw all his energy and commitment into losing some weight. God wants us to mean what we say. Our yes must mean yes, and our no must mean no. Whatever we choose to do, we ought to do it fully, for God wants children with commitment and resolve, not indecision and insincerity.

Today's thought: My diet is an all-or-nothing proposition!

Completed first 4 miles at average speed of 3.5 mph for first two miles and 3.4 for 2nd two miles. RHR = 56 BP on day 2 no meds after walking was 106/68

Working on upping the game. Garmin says I am only maintaining aerobic fitness at this level of effort.

I wanted to say something else, from my earlier post. There is nothing wrong with being "that person". I want to encourage anyone, who is "that person", who is struggling, and who is just lurking, come out. Find a check in and start posting. Not necessarily this one, find one that works for you. You can do this. We can do it.
