Hi everyone, hope you are all doing well tonight!

Sundove, Diana and Weekend Boater - Thanks so much for your words of encouragement. I really appreciate it!

Nancy - great job at your potluck!

Teri - Sorry you had food issues yesterday. II hope you have a better day tomorrow. I love hearing about all of your gardening activities - you are lucky to have such a green thumb! My grandma had one too, but it seems to have skipped me.

Monte - Sounds like you've been very busy lately! Good for you for fitting in your workouts in spite of your schedule. Great job on your eating plan as well! I think 2 smaller shakes are better than 1 big one. When I bought my protein powder at the health food store, I asked whether I should do 2 scoops or just one and the owner said definitely just one. She said your body can't handle processing that much protein at once (25 g per scoop). She also said it would be really hard on your kidneys and you would have to drink tons of water.

Weekend - Thanks, again, for your comments. Great job sticking to your plan and doing your walking video! The chicken kabobs sound wonderful, hope you enjoy them and your evening.

GettinFit- Sounds like a good plan to try the closer walking trail. Way to get creative in finding a way to get your exercise in during the winter months! Also, WTG with your moderation during the baby shower.

Margot - Congrats on sticking to your plan! I hope you feel better soon.

Sundove - Thanks so much for your comments and support. Yes, the smoking was difficult and doing the eating plan at the same time was a challenge, for sure! Especially because both my roommate and my karaoke buddies all smoke a lot. And, they aren't known for their healthful eating habits either! So far, so good...8 months smoke-free! now, to get a handle on my eating plan once again. I thought your advice was great about cutting out the triggers. I think that's where I've gone astray the last 2 months. Sounds like you've got a good plan going in re-affirming your eating goals. Seems like that was working very well for you. Wishing you luck!

Diana - Thanks so much for your comments and encouragement. Your words are very wise and spoken from experience. I will keep on, keeping on... As for you, great job on your food and exercise!

CoolMom- WTG with your calories!

Nichols - I feel your pain, I'm right there with you! Let's get back on track together.

Kelijpa - Congrats on your loss!

Greetings and support to anyone I missed!

Today - calories 1,546; carb 97; fat 66; protein 135; sodium 3,380; sugar 24.
Exercise - 3.5 miles walking with dogs, burned 350 calories. 13,271 steps so far. Water - 100 oz.

Decided to stay home tonight and skip karaoke as I have a seminar tomorrow morning at my church on how to attract your ideal mate and how to positively approach dating. Should be interesting...I hope it has some good advice.

Yesterday my roommate ordered Chinese food. I did okay, it was sort of a mixed bag. I ate fried appetizers and entree without rice, but did make sure I had a cup of Chinese veggies along with it. Was up again today, probably the sodium and fried food.

So, I've been saying all week and last week that I need to cut out the snack food, right? What I didn't realize was that my twisted mind's plan for cleaning out my cupboard from forbidden foods was to eat them...all of them!. Not surprisingly, I had a challenging week weight-wise! Here's to turning over a new leaf and onward to better things...

Hope everyone has a great weekend and thanks for your support!

Not much really to report chicks, I have not strayed from my plan but I am also not getting my carbs in in the way of veggies. I have been two low and I think this may be stalling my weight loss.....less than 15 per day.
I also found another road block, I have taken aleve two nights in a row for my back so I could sleep well well they did what they should and I slept both nights better than I have in over a week but I also did not get up and workout my energy level was way low. So now stuck until really back is 100%

Hi Everyone
GettinFit WTG on managing the luncheon, and utilizing this thread to steel you motivation!

WeekendBoater TY! Better today

Congrats on your progress kelijpa!

Nicholsfamily Good to see you! I feel your frustration--been there done that. From my experience after a big weight loss, fwiw, it seems the weight likes to climb up a bit and then settle. Hence the cravings and urges t eat rich, tasty things. Using 20/20 hindsight, I wish I had been happy when I gained 9-10 lbs. Instead, I clamped down hard to lose it. That restriction set off binge eating that landed me up where I am now, settled at an even higher wt. Sometimes better is the enemy of good.
Okay, lecture over

MonteCristo WTG with your workout. Blech on the sugared tea! That's a medication error!

Zoniegirl It's really challenging to maintain a social life on a diet--hats off to you! I have all sorts of analogies I tell myself with getting back on track..turning a ship around; taming a wild mustang. You're checking in and paying attention--that in itself is success. It sounds like you're almost there, and making good choices. The scale will reflect that eventually.

I'm just starting to get back to normal. When I went off the rails, I forgot about the foggy, numbed brain. That's the stress-relieving function of food I guess, but it numbs everything. Like you said, it's a big learning process.

Diana

Sending good wishes & support to everyone I missed and to all who can use it, self included!

Today I ate on plan...
B egg white omelet with vegs protein shake
L turkey chili
D big salad with chicken
S Hannah sweet potato, protein shake in coffee
Yesterday I ate a big salad after I posted, with tofu and olive oil. After I have the listed snack, I'm committing here to no more eating.

Nancylrmn Sorry to hear about your back and glad the Alleve helps. I hope you feel better soon get back to usual activities. Wise, imho, to let yourself sleep, and heal. Wow your carbs are low! I love low carb for suppressing cravings, but too low interferes with my sleep, and I get moody and low energy. Congrats for sticking to your plan!

HI Everyone!

Tomorrow is DH's and my anniversary. Breakfast and lunch will be on plan. We will eat at a steak house. I will try to minimize the damage as much as possible. This time of year is rough! In the past, a celebratory day would turn into an all day feeding frenzy. This is the type of stuff I am working on. Not necessarily to make that one meal perfect but to keep it to that one meal and not make it an all day event. It probably doesn't sound like much, but it's the little steps that add up. I'll keep working at it. I still don't know what I am going to do about Christmas. We usually go out of town. I don't know what we will do this year. But last year, I tried to do well and gained 15 pounds. Geesh. So, I guess if I eat off plan for my Christmas Eve meal, Christmas Day meal, and New Years Eve meal and that's it, the damage shouldn't be too bad. The rest of the time has to be 100% on plan. Starting tomorrow until Monday the following week I will be drinking shakes for breakfast. This will be to cut some calories where I can. It's not a lot but hopefully it will help somewhere.

MonteCristo Good luck with all the food prep.

Teri Good job staying active and getting some movement in.

Weekend Boater Enjoy the chicken kabobs. Very healthy!

Gettinfit We had some rain for one day, but that was it. We also need rain here. Sounds like you did well at the shower.

Nicholsfamily Trying checking back in on a regular basis. It takes some extra time (that none of us have extra of ) but it does seem to help. Good luck and hang in there.

Kelijpa Great job getting the walks in.

Zoniegirl I hope the church meeting is a positive experience for you. Sounds interesting for sure.

Nancylmrn I hope you feel better soon.

Sundove Good job continuing to get back in the swing of things.

Good morning everyone, hope you are all having a good Saturday!

Nancy - I'm sorry about your back. I hope you feel better soon!

Diana - Happy anniversary to you and your DH! Good luck at your dinner out. Sending you My plan for the holidays matches yours, only going off plan for the holiday meal and still being relatively moderate for that meal.

CoolMom - Congrats on your anniversary!

Sundove - Great job getting back on plan! You can do it...we'll do it together!

Greetings and support to everyone I missed!

Today - W/I 203.6, down 2 from yesterday., same weight as Nov. 1. Plan for today - calories 1,203; carb 82; fat 35; protein 110; sodium 1,770; sugar 38.

Exercise - none, recovery day.

Water - 100 oz.

Getting ready to head out to my seminar at church this morning. I may go to karaoke tonight, not sure. But, I've allocated calories for 2 drinks, just in case. Threw out the remaining Chinese vegetables, don't want the sodium in the sauce.

As of yesterday, I've also replaced whole, grocery food for my pre-packaged diet food for my lunch. Had a turkey burger and salad instead. So, now it is just a protein bar snack and breakfast which are packaged diet food. I only have 7 diet protein bars left. I think I'm going to save the diet food breakfasts (oatmeal and hot cakes) for my Sunday treat. The other days, I'm going to alternate Egg Beaters and protein drinks for breakfast.

Hope everyone has a great weekend! Thanks for your support!

Good morning Ladies Hope your all having a great weekend! Diana and Cool mom Happy Anniversary to both of you! Hope you had, have a wonderful time, much love and happiness to you and yours.

Today is day 6 for me (SB phase 1). I woke up feeling good! I feel more alert and energetic now, not sluggish or so tired. Yesterday turned out to be a lovely day here and DH and I went for a walk in a nearby quaint town by the river. I was so happy! I was slow and it was a bit uphill some of the way and half way through we stopped in to a coffee shop for a cappuccino which was absolutely divine!! Walked back, spent about an hour total, so I will say about a half hour walking.

After we headed to the grocery store to stalk up on more healthy snacks and foods for the next several days and waked down all the aisles. Today my legs were fineee! I tolerated it well.

My goal is to just take things day by day, stay off the scale as long as I can right now and just go OP (I know my body well and how it reacts and how I react, lol) In addition, I need to build up my leg muscles and becareful not to injure myself again, walking and the walking vid are perfect for me as well as stretching and I will incorporate light weights when ready.

Last night, I had grilled chicken with broccoli (instead of the kabobs with peppers and tomato which will be tonight) and 23 cashews as a snack after.
ohh and a egg muffin at midnight!! lol I made them yesterday so DH could have a grab and go breakfast.

GettinFit I had a big smile on my face when I read your post! WTG! When are you going on your cruise?

Nicolsfamily hang in there ! Oh god, I know how frustrating that feels. Your in here posting and fighting which is a great thing!

kelijpa congrats on getting that 1.4 back off and hope you have a wonderful weekend too!

Zoniegirl I am having those chicken kabobs tonight, the weather is nice today and want to do that before the cold and rain hits. I find it very hard (especially in the beginning) when your living with someone that is eating all that stuff, I feel it is an extra temptation and challenge. DH is doing it with me and doing very well, it really helps when first starting out and he feels much better too. I chuckled when you said cleaning the kitchen out meant eating every thing LOL smile.....that is exactlyyyy what DH and I did the days prior to starting on MOnday. We said, well we have to get rid of everything right? We were horrible! Btw , I had Chinese as well the weekend before and it never fails that I will put 2 lbs. of fluid if I do that. It was food porn city which I wont mention but I had everything and was so disgusted and bloated I could NOT WAIT to start, made it much easier really.

nancy I hope your back is feeling better, I have injured myself a few times now not waiting long enough. When I was hurting, I was taking ibuprofen and it made me sleepy. Wishing you a speedy recovery nancy and congrats for still staying on plan.

Sundove glad your feeling better. Regarding the numb state etc., so true! I experience the same thing as well and today woke up feeling much more sharp and clear headed...I suppose not having cocktails with dinner on Saturday nights helps as well

I have to run, hope I did not miss anyone. I really enjoy being here with you all, thanks and wishing you all a great day!

HI Everyone!

I stuck to my plan. I had the shake for breakfast and salad for lunch and no other unplanned eating. I only ate what I planned for dinner and no alcohol. I ate too much for my one meal but it was the typical, shared appetizer, soup, I got the medium size steak, not large, baked sweet potato, and we went somewhere else and had ice cream for dessert. It was a lot of food but more controlled than I have done in the past. I'm thinking about taking a couple days off from weighing but I'll see how my mood is in the morning.

I worked out today: Jessica Smith Super Set Sculpt w/5's, 10's, & 15's, I jogged during her floor work.

Zoniegirl Enjoy the seminar and karaoke.

Weekend Boater Sounds like a nice weekend and great planning for the grab and go breakfast.

Coolmom Good job on the calories

Waving Hi all around! Enjoy your evening!

Hello Ladies, checking in before going to bed soon.

Diana that is great! Sounds like a very nice menu and a lovely time.

Today went well, I had a salad for lunch with mixed greens, cottage cheese, and some thin' n trim' chicken slices. The chicken kabob dinner was very enjoyable and I had a nice sized plate. I doled out 20 cashews for DH and I after for a snack (in zip lock baggies) lol . THe leftover dinner went into ziplock bags for snacks or a meal etc. along with the other baggies in fridge of all our snacks etc. I am making sure we don't run out.

I started feeling tired in the afternoon and my foot pulled a bit so I did not do the video as I was thinking to but its fine now. Tomorrow I must do it.

Had my moments for a bit there this afternoon, got a bit pouty but then got busy in the kitchen doing some things and it passed. I know it's part of the journey and I know if I can just push through it, the next day I wake up happy. With that being said, going to bed lol and I hope we all wake up to a beautiful, happy and healthy Sunday!

First let me thank all of you who wished this darn back of mine to get well LOL

My back is feeling better today, and even did a lot of walking today with sister ...tad retail therapy for Christmas shopping over 13,000 steps. Did take another aleve but felt it was needed.

Sundove...thank you for the advice, I am going to relax the rest of the weekend instead of working out

diana3271....you know you are strong and you will get through the holidays, one day at a time

coolmom75, it was good of you to splurge and now it is another day you will do it

zonegirl, thank you!

weekend boater, congrats on day 5 of SB--great snack planning

I weighed myself this morning and down again today so all that bloaty stuff from the first of the week is all gone.
Today carbs are up to where they should be and calories lower. I need to concentrate on getting more veggies in to up that carb count and keep the calories down....so that is my new plan

Good Morning, Everyone!

Last night I added on: Tamilee Webb's Total Body Stretch (standing)
This Morning: Oxycise in the Office 2

Most of you here know that we have a business. There is a cell tower on our property and the cell people have been updated their equipment since Friday. There have been a lot of people coming and going there through the day and night. We have various alarms on the building and property. The people in charge know the information for the gate so they can do their work. So the people in charge don't always convey the info. to the people who work through the night. I was sound asleep around midnight when we got a call that the gate alarm was going off. UGH! Once I am awake I difficulty going back to sleep. I finally went back to sleep. DH gets up at 3:30 with the dog to go hunting. I didn't wake at that time, but I guess I wasn't sleeping well anyways since I woke at 5 something. Really? So I got up and I'm getting some stuff done. I am thinking I am going to the shop today, after church to finish up with the cleaning of the office and bathrooms for the month. I can do it today or next weekend. If I do it today, next weekend will be free for fun stuff. My plan is to do it today, we'll see how my energy holds up.

No weight in this morning. Too much food + Too little sleep = disaster I don't wish to deal with a disaster this morning. I would rather stick my head in the sand and not deal with it today. Denial is a good thing for today.

nancylmrn Yay for feeling better and the scale cooperating!

Weekend Boater Sounds like you had a good meal and good day overall. Hopefully you can get that walk in today. Jessica Smith has a lot of free stuff on youtube that you might be interested in. She is an alternative to Leslie Sansone.

Have a great day!
