I'm at goal, but this is after having to do a cleanse in preparation for an endoscopy and colonoscopy yesterday. I'm guessing this will go back up in the next couple of days as my system goes back to normal.

Saw a crazy drop of two pounds yesterday to today. Not too sure its not a fluke. But very fun to see that number between my feet. I'd totally take a 7 lb weight loss by April first. And I'd grin about it from ear to ear all the way into May. :)

Hello Katy :)

I am working at a totally new place. Its an attorney run Title Insurance Company. The people are AWESOME... but boy I have alot to learn as to the offices way and system. I am overwhelmed and have a headache LOLOL
I am glad that they are giving me 3 days to train on their system before I am let lose so to speak. But I know I have backup and the girls in the office are not competitive and really want me to work out. A dream for me!

Thank you so much for asking!! (never ate lunch today, so I am hoping the scale is happy tomorrow lololol) Have a terrific night!

Immaculate and WannaB Holey Mackeral You ladies are kicking butt!

but still find myself looking for something else to eat. It's hard on my schedule because I can't always snack when I want and then I get really hungry and eat a lot....just a little frustrated because I have always ate healthy and exercised but yet I can't lose a pound to save my life. I go up and down 5 lbs constantly staying on the same number I start with. I do weigh myself first thing in the morning. I just don't know what else to do.

wannaskipandlaugh 03-26-2013 07:22 PM

Dedicatedme...... Just a thought... write down every thing you eat and drink and then add up the calories..... If you stay under your required amount you should be losing weight..... In order for any of us to help, we would need to know this information,,,, How much you weigh now and your height. If you could pass that information along someone could help you.... otherwise.. we are blind..

I did post my info on the last page...145,5'7 I do Zumba and Zumba toning 3-4 times a week and do 1400-1500 calories a day. I only drink water, no fried foods, limited on sweets, fruits and veggies ( fresh) daily... Pretty active job as well. Thanks for the help!!! ( I get calories info by my fit pal)

I am so sorry... I had missed your previous posting. Gosh then I just don't know why you are having troubles. Maybe cut out 100-200 of your calories and see if that makes a difference. Are you eating alot of fruit? They have alot of sugar in them or are you eating any protein? maybe its salt. Medication at all? That is all I can think of. Maybe you need to see a doctor to see if there is something wrong with your thyroid... But these are just thoughts and just come from reading others threads.... Hope one of these ideas help!

Dedicatedme 03-26-2013 08:54 PM

That's ok. No meds, no added salt, only about 1-1/2 servings of fruit. I don't do any protein other than the meats I eat... You sound the same way I do when the scale doesn't move..lol. Thyroid has been previously "blamed" I may have it checked..but I really don't think it is thyroid...hmmmm

Ugh.. I have been doing so well and got down to 194 but a few nights ago someone tried to break in while my little sisters were home alone. I haven't been able to sleep since and have probably gotten 4 hours of sleep in the last 2 days. Didn't sleep at all the night it happened and was able to get a few hours in last night but this has completely thrown me off plan. I haven't been cooking like I usually do and just been eating whatever's easy when I do eat. Plus Saturday I went out to sushi with my bf as my weekend splurge and just kind of haven't been back on track since. I stepped on the scale yesterday and saw 197:(
I'm hoping tonight I can actually sleep and not feel like such a zombie and get back on track. I just feel so out of it.

Okay, if you have a seditary lifestyle/job and the working out is your main form of activity then 10 calories per pound is about you maintenance level. That puts you at 1450 calories a day for maintenance, and that is about what you are consuming.

IF you are very active, then your maintenance may be up to 12 calories per pound daily. That puts your maintenance range at 1740 calories per day.

Assuming you average 1500 a day, then it would take you a little over 2 weeks to create the 3500 calorie deficit to lose one pound. That is IF our bodies shed every pound we wanted as soon as we achieved that magic deficit number.

That is with zero room for error, so even misfiguring by as little as 20 or so calories a day could really effect that result.

Truth is, you are eating at maintenance for your weight. Some folks maintain on a lot more calories, and some folks maintain on less. Seems like you have discovered your maintenance range, you'll need to adjust calories or activity level if you want that to change.

That really sucks. I can only imaging how scary an attempted burglary could be. I hope you and your sisters remain safe and you can get back on track soon.
