I just want to say thanks to everyone who is participating!!!! I see posts of some people who are expecting to lose 5lbs a week, which makes me think "Is that really what the normal is?" (I think I've also been clouded by diet pill ads...loose 30lbs in 6 weeks...yeah right!)

Seeing everyone here lets me know that 8lbs in a month is PERFECTLY normal and healthy!

So far this month I'm down 6 and am hoping for a couple more by 8/1! Question though...my official WI day is Thursday. Do I count that day or 8/1 for the challenge?

It is very good. Wtloss depends on age, your activity level and diet.
I have lost 3.4 lb so far this month. But, i am 59 years old. Had always good habits of eating. The mistake i was doing, was not eating proteins.
So it is fine for me.
I am happy with myself. I am givIng 1 full year for mysef to attain my goal weight that is 130lb. I intend to be 130 in june,12.
About 40weeks and 39 lbs to loose. I may maintain for 45days frrom 9thoct 11, as i am planning to go to India.
I wmay set new goals after i return.
Idea is to happily loose for ever!!!

Last Week: 166.6
This Week: 167.4
Loss for Week: None...gained .8 pound.
Total Loss for Month: 4.8

I had weighted a few days ago and was 165, was so pleased!...and now this.

Upped my exercise, stayed on plan. Even the KFC I worked into my plan, and only went over by 100 calories.

I don't think I'll lose the ten pouns by the 1st.

Down another pound+, but doesn't look so good for the 10 pounds by Aug 1. I'll weigh in on Aug 1 and post my final weight for July and also use this if an August thread is started.

mlgibson & love2b150, don't worry about it. I didn't lose much myself but i know i am healthier than i used to be. Today's another day, let's just stay on plan one more day and keep yesterday behind us.

Another 2lbs down! Yay me, haha!

I also had an "ohhhhhh" moment yesterday. Growing up I was lucky and never had to worry about hunger, just go open the fridge. Yesterday my stomach was empty and it wasn't really all that uncomfortable. I had 3 hours to go before dinner and decided to see if I would actually "die if I don't get something to eat right now". You know what, I didn't die! I learned it's ok to be hungry and not eat right then and there!

Maybe for some you've known this your entire life...but for me it was an "ohhhhh" moment
