Morning all...just a quick drop in. At volleyball tourney with oldest girl. Already made a big bad choice. Was freezing and stopped at bigsby coffee and got a latte. Calculated points after drinking the whole large thing...7 points which is all of my breakfast point and then some. So now I have to be careful the rest of day AND of course I didn't pack my lunch. Grrr..... learned a valuable lesson about my impulse ordering.

Hope everyone has a great day!

I love my power walks! lol. I was going to get a headstart on my 5K training today but its raining! Ugh!!!!

Belly Buster It's all a learning experience as you go.

MzjuicyD Do you ever use workout videos? I love the convenience of them.

Krampus I just talked with DH. He's thinking it was something he ate. He doesn't feel like he has the flu or virus. I keep washing my hands because I don't want whatever that mess is.

I also made it a full week without candy or sweets which I consider a small victory. My goal for next week is "no gross overeating."
So hard to be really good when at a potluck, but I think your attitutde about it is good - it was one day, you did well the rest of the week and are keeping up with the fitness. And yay to no candy! That is one thing I thought would be hard to give up, but surprisingly, it's NOT! (for now at least!)

Where did you get your program, i have heard about c25k. I would like to do this, but i have no clue where to start.

My mentor says the word 'try' is a word of failure, so i avoid that word as much as i can.

thank you debbie

For Juicy and Debbie:

Here is the website for C25K: http://www.coolrunning.com/engine/2/2_3/181.shtml

Good luck! It's a great program! I loved it! When you start, watch your pace. You want to be able to jog at a pace that you can still speak and are not gasping for air 20 seconds into your run. When you do your intervals, the first few should feel fairly easy, they should begin to get more challenging as you go and your last run should feel like you're giving a little extra just to make it through to the end.

Glad to see youre considering it! This program has really helped me vamp up my exercise last month and kept me surging into this month. Good luck!

Hey guys!

Krampus... congrats on your no sweets week!

Debbie... yay we can try to up our running skills together!

Weighed in at 126.2 this morning... lets hope it doesn't bounce back up because I'm no longer living off of shakes and mush. :-P

Going to the gym later... do you girls think I should do the usual HIIT 22 minute cardio or try and see how much distance I can get in a jog? I'm torn between trying to jump start my metabolism since cals have been low the past few days (no idea if that would work but what not), and seeing where my starting point is in preparation for this half-marathon in September.

Hi Larry

Krampus; good job on sweets. I still have a few pieces of dark chocolate each day. Seems to cut down my cravings.

Belly Buster...I do impulse things all the time. I wanted to get a bottle of wine when I was at the store, I had to almost speak out loud "Step away from the wine!"

Mz; everything counts. I walked about 4500 steps at the mall today. Eventhough it was not heart pumping, still steps.

Shell; AWESOME!

LL nice to hear your mouth is feeling better.

I had sushi for lunch and it was yummy. I only drank water and tea, so I did not add any extra empty calories.

Having a stir fry for dinner, and I think I will stay around 1400 for the day.
