Gary- that's right. Blame your sweet wife.

Shake your Gruve thing, shake your Gruve thing, yeah, yeah!!! It came today and will monitor for a week to decide what my body is doing. Then it will tell me how many calories I should eat. I am excited. Hope this is the answer I've been looking for.

Toobig-Groove.. just means feel good about yourself and get moving!

Mtiger-Hope it works out for you!

I have not weighed myself since Tuesday at the doctor. I'm just taking it easy this weekend. I've had a bit of a sore throat and my body just hurts lately. I was in bed at 6ish last night watching a movie with my hubby having some decent quality time with him and the fur babies and then asleep by 10pm and slept until 9:30am this morning. I still want a nap for some reason. It is gorgeous outside. So not sure if I'm just getting hit with general exhaustion from what's all been going on or if I am actually getting sick but I'm just taking it easy this weekend. I have no plans, not even the grocery store unless I want to go lol. Have a great weekend all!

HI TEAM

I was going to wait until I had good news...like a 180 or something but NOooo I was at 182 on Friday morning and then at 184 today...

what gives?

Angie and I had date night last night...we decided not to do Friday Night Splits and instead got our own meals and brought half home for lunch...something we do a lot at our favorite Mexican joint

I had hoped to get to that 180 by Easter but it doesn't look good for that...dang.

My fault...chips every day...although in my behalf I have to say I am taking a small baggie and not snacking on them at all when I get home.

Beer...won't bore you with beer calories....

OK...truth...4-6 a day.....

if I could just cut that back to the "2" that my doctor advises I would be ok...a work in progress....

Burned a few in the yard today, also got a walk in with the dogs and tomorrow is Paws In The Park walk so I will burn off a few there...

alas...

then Angie and I meet my son/dil/daughter/kidnapper/nephew/ex-wife and a few others at the local sports bar for lunch....where I will eat too much...drink too much...but I have an excuse...

my son turned 29 this week and all and I mean ALL of my picks for the elite 8 and final 4 are gone...way-way long gone from March Madness....

what makes things worse is the kidnapper is still ahead of me in the family ESPN pool...

What's a guy to do?

I know you will all be good

Well you guys, the Gruve is very intresting. It provides a ton of info on my activity throughout the day. It is monitoring for a week before it decides what my burn should be each day. This should be interesting.

Today I was 177. Not bad. TOM will be here this week sometime. I have been under 180 for 20 days now. Don't want to go over it now. If I can just stay under through TOM I would be delighted. We shall see.

We have conferences next week, M and W till 8:30. That really screws up my evening. Will have to try working out at 9:00 when I get home? Yuck!!! I'll have to do it though to keep things as normal as possible for the Gruve tracking.

Gruve is an activity monitor-like a bodybugg. It keeps track of calories burned throughout the day. It is a fun little gadget. I just hope it helps.

but met the kids/spouses/ex at the local sports bar to celebrate son's birthday....

steak and cheese hoagie...3 tall beers...fries....

still drinking beer at home...

out of excuses...

Well.. I feel like an idiot. I've been working at my job for 18 months now. I take my kids outside to recess everyday just about unless it is raining and it hit me yesterday I could walk laps around the playground while keeping an eye on them and that is 20 to 30 minutes of exercise right there. So I've been doing that since yesterday. Some of the kids and my co workers are looking at me pretty funny right now but they'll get used to it! Then today I met up with my work out group for the first time and worked out and did weights and boot camp like exercises for about 35 minutes. I'm tired but going back for more tomorrow! Now on to just the eating. I did pretty well today for breakfast lunch and all my snacks until dinner time and we ended up going out to dinner. Have a great night!

just stopping by to see what is going on. Well I stayed the same the last 2 weeks still at 219 otherwise just keeping up doing how much I can before I end up tired or feel like I've over done it.

Blonde-- way to go with the walks it is never to late to start when the opportunity comes up.

Hey!! So I made it through conferences and am now officially on spring break. YAY!!! I am still in the first week monitoring phase with my Gruve. I am averaging close to 600 calories a day. Today however I am already at 830. WOW!!! It's only 8:00. I took a 45 min, walk and burned 250 calories.

Today was our last weigh-in at school. I lost 2 pounds this week....even though TOM should be here anytime now. I was 176.6 this morning. That has to be a good thing, right??

Well I am going to enjoy my break, starting with a night out with co-workers tomorrow. We have been waiting a long time. It should be fun.

Here is what I've learned from my Gruve so far. I should burn 530 calories a day. My average though is currently over 600. It has bumped up my calories to eat to 1573. Basically what I am getting is...eat more and work out a bit less. Seems like funny advice right??

Well today I hit a new low, 175.4. And that is with TOM popping up any minute now. Maybe this thing is correct. We shall see. I am not going to bust my butt everyday, but take a nice walk most days and throw in a bit of arms or legs on a few days. I will see how this works for me.
