Hey EZ, that's part of my motivation. My son has tryouts for baseball next month, so I need to be ready for that warm weather and the shorts season! Getting serious!!

Well, I'm assuming it will warm up at some point, anyway!

Gary- Gotta keep your eye on those red lines. Heck I don't even know what my red line is yet.

After losing the HUGE (5.5 pound) TOM gain, I am holding in the 177's the past few days. Not bad, but I like the 176 I saw on Friday. Hope to get back there before the next UGLY TOM GAIN.

Being pre-menopausal stinks. Yep, it stinks like bologna.
OMG, my sister in misery!

I turned 40 last year, and my poor body went crazy. I went from regular like clockwork, to skipping periods, (not just age, but stress related) and now, closing in at 41, when I DO have periods, the water weight gain, cramps, etc, is INSANE.

I just started today and I'm seriously curious to see where my next weight drop will be, because even with my best efforts to control bloat, I know I am FULL of water. It just started moving.

You are so right, being premenopausal - HORRIBLE.

Little miss- OOH! Someone who understands. Gary doesn't quite get it ya know. Got down to 176.4 on Friday and gained for the last few days, up to 179.8 today. There is no rhyme nor reason, I swear.

Did Jillian's kickboxing today, always a killer.

WHAT?!...I'll have you know I had a wife a daughter and a step-daughter all living under my roof at one point AND 2 female (fixed ) golden retrievers

OK...to be honest...with my wife and daughter I would probably not know what "time it was in the month" if I didn't see the trash can in the bathrooms...or if I didn't see my step-d in bed in the afternoon for a couple of days.

Hey TEAM ~

Welcome LITTLEMISSBLISS

I hit a new low (on this journey) this morning...184.6

I haven't been there since October of last year....

Angie got a new tattoo today.....chasing her around the room screaming "What were you thinking?!" should burn off a few calories

be good to yourselves TEAM...call someone and tell them you love them...

EZ - YAY!!! Congratulations on the new low!!

I, too, am back to my recent low of 208. I wavered for a while there (my baloney excuse was being snowed in for over a week) BUT with the support of this group and reading over the many goal stories on 3FC I clawed my way back.

Here's what's working for me right now.... everytime I catch myself wanting to eat that brownie/chocolate/chips, I ask myself, "Do you really want this brownie more than you want to lose this weight?" And then I think about how it's not just that one cheat; it's every few hours that I catch myself wanting something; and they all add up to 208 pounds of looking fat, avoiding being in photos, not being able to shop for clothes in most stores, having to postpone having another baby because I really don't want to add baby weight to THIS weight.... and the answer is NO!!! There is nothing that I want more than to lose this weight. NOTHING!

So no more baloney for me.

Thanks for the welcome EZ!!!

Hormonal water gain STINKS! Even doing the right stuff, (drinking plenty of filtered water, eating fruit and veggies, taking diuretic, vitamins, etc), still doesn't help much. Oh well. I am just glad that I'm at that point in the cycle when I will soon be able to see if I'm off this plateau I've been stuck on for almost two months. I've not been able to get a real gauge on where I am at, what with carrying the Pacific Ocean around inside me.

This looks like fun!

I weighed in at the Registered Dietitian and am down to 315!!!

She actually told me she thought I was losing too fast and that we'll revisit things next time I see her (in 2 weeks). Her too fast feels mighty good to me!

I'm HERE! So glad you started another thread GARY! CONGRATS on the new low!

I'm still hovering at 201. I've not had time to work out even though I got some new work out videos that I am so excited about plus not feeling good. I just got home and had my specialist appointment today and I may be having to have sinus surgery or will be having shots in my face and head to relieve some of the problems I'm having and to try to calm down some of the nerves around my sinuses in my face. So those two options don't sound appetizing but I'm at the point where I'm willing to try anything now since I've been very uncomfy and tired for the past 18 months. In a way I am excited about possibly also having a solution to this problem and hopefully it will get me to feeling better and not so tired to where I can work out more. The doctor made it sound very easy and that I shouldn't have had to be this sick for this long. There's a lot of hormone talk going on in this thread and hormone trouble seems to be going around. I seem to be having some problems myself and I've skipped last months and so far this month as well. So that may be next on my list going to the OB gyn since I better not be pre-menopausal since I'm only 26! There's no bun in the oven either since I've taken tests so I'm getting a little befuddled myself over here. Anyways have a nice night and let's get some of this BALONEY off!

Just like EZ said, it's 'STUFF' that's keeping me busy.

We've had snow, missed some school, trying to re-scheduled basketball games before tournament starts next week (DD is a cheerleader so I go to all of the games!), basketball games every night this week, today's her 18th birthday, trying to change shift at one of my (three) jobs so I can make it to the first tournament game next week, etc. etc. TOM, oh yeah, and i'm up a pound and graduation is looming ever so closer. Will try to catch up. . . . eventually. . . .

Ouch, Margie B. I am kind of in your world with a 13 year old boy and a 15 year old girl. Busy all the time.

Oh, and then there is this job.

I'm just too busy to weigh myself. How's that for baloney???

My balogna for the week has been that I can't seem to stomach protein. GAH! We'll see what my weight is doing on Tuesday, but right now I just have to focus on protein loading and hope for the best, these carbs don't give me nearly enough energy!
