It's funny you should mention coming back for the summer Moo, I've been thinking about coming back in June next year and doing Glastonbury seeing as it's back on then. I've not done Glast yet, it's on my list of things to do before I die.
Have a good time, I hope it doesn't rain on you!! (fat chance!)
btw from what I've seen of E.Vedder, Esq. recently, he's still fit, just a little puffy in the face.
Morning all. I watched tv last night!!! I never watch tv!!! We watched "sleeper cell". Phwooooooooooooaaaaarrrrrrr that lead character, gosh is he cute, with the most gorgeous green eyes. I think I'm on heat again!
I'm up early for a swim. It looks chilly out there! This weather is all my fault you know. I bought summer stuff at the beginning of the month!
There used to be a good festival here at Old Trafford cricket ground called Move, sponsored by Virgin Trains. But it doesn't exist anymore. We went one year and it was fantastic! No camping, you just get a day admittance. I think my dh is too old to do the camping thing
We've been without electricity since about 8.30 last night - there was a huge amount of rain and a stunning thunder storm rattling around overhead, then there was this ALMIGHTY great big flash, simultaneous BANG and all the lights went out. After an hour of playing cards by candle light we gave up and went to bed and it has only just come back on again. Shame I didn't feel a bit more romantic but the local anaesthetic had just worn off and I was in agony. Poor DH!
I love thunderstorms - when my daughter was little we used to go and sit out in the garden to watch them (and get soaked through). For some reason DH doesn't like that idea!
I went in to 'eat everything' mode yesterday evening - well, everything that my sore mouth could cope with. I think the stress got to me. You'd think that after all this time I'd learn to deal with stress in a different way - but no, when I get stressed I eat and EAT. Luckily there isn't much in this house - so basically it was lots and lots and lots of healthy food. D'oh! Never mind, back on track today.
Stress is having the opposite effect on me at the moment. But only for an hour or two
I used to sit out in thunderstorms too! We haven't had one good enough to do that here though! Did get soaked walking to the cinema last night though! At least the grass is green again!
That stuff's in everything. I try and avoid it by not buying anything processed but they still manage to sneak it in. I mean, would YOU be bothered if your raisins weren't glazed? Probably not - so why do they waste money and time doing it?
I went swimming this morning. Oh bliss! And a spa and a steam room, I feel like I'm on holiday!
Well it's official I move to the baking team (uh oh) on 18th September. Ah well, I'll just have to factor in a slice of homemade cake once a week. I'll be baking too. I've been sifting through recipes for cakes that I won't want to eat!
I'm starting to organise my desk ready for my move!
Well I am going to take the bus! So there! Well (grizzles) my heel is sore from all that walking and getting lost in Leics!
As for what records - Oh I have a varied taste but I think mainly rock/punk stuff. I am not sure if there is any soul I think mainly hip hop and rap which is not my scene much. Some is ok but after awhile (grumpy old woman alert) when some of them rap it just sounds like the ones hanging around on street corners having a go at anyone who dares breath near them. One can only take so much aggro. There was one on the train last night. He was talking patrois mainly - the only word I understood (and I know it is v rude) was blaaadcluuut! This repeated many times.
It is truly vile and I really think it is anti women - it refers to the time of the month. The saying is sometimes Rags clot (Raaags cluuut, blaaad cluuut) etc.
Not nice. Not said on rap records as more Jamaican than Afro American (about the only thing that isn't!) but said regularly in SE London!!

I had a power cut last night for a whole 5 mins I thought my computer had blown up.
