I spent a little time in Plymouth when I left school, to do Foundation Studies at the Art College. When? Erm.......a long time ago ! Suffice to say that I saw Alien and Star Wars when they first came out . I had a great time there and really loved the place. I've ended up a long way north though!!!!

well you probably wouldn't recognise the place now the whole of east lake walk (mothercare C&A down tot he unity pub and the charles cross multi storey) have all been flattened the old odean cinema is now a casino union street is still the same as ever though lol

Ah, Union Street - the art college had an annexe just behind and I had to walk there for Photography, I was petrified. I also went to my first ever live gig there in a small club (can't remember the name). Would you believe I saw Motorhead?!?! Was dragged there by friends, my ears rang for days after. My kids are really retro, my youngest sulked for days when I said he was too young to go and see Motorhead, couldn't believe they are still touring. They must have their own Zimmer frames by now.

From another thread - I never did like the actual getting hit bit of karate, it was embarassing turning up at school to pick up the kiddies with a black eye , someone jokingly asked if it was hubby. She obviously thought I was mad. I bruise really easily too!
There is a Tai Chi teacher from my 'branch' of TC down in the SW, Taunton I think, if you are interested. I believe he teaches the martial side, though none of us take part in any competition. The head of the school is more interested in the spiritual side, though that doesn't rule out bouncing/ throwing people around, and he is quite something there.
One advantage of weight is that it makes you harder to move !

Hi girlies and Mr Si. How are we all doing? I'm actually on plan this week, and it's my 4th day so far and I've not fallen off the wagon, so I'm holding out hope that I might lose at next weigh in with glorious Gloria.

Have been getting to curves and today I had ten minutes on my friends treadmill, I'm not overly keen on treadmills as I tend to lose my balance if I don't concentrate, but I did ok on hers, I had to laugh cos I got on and started the thing up and put it to a speed I wanted and my friend kept pushing things that made it go faster, or up a hill and kept asking me if it was harder, which I didn't feel that it was, and then the bugger gets a rocking chair out, pulls it in front of the telly and proceeds to watch something while I worked out! LOL! And this is the woman who has been told to exercise more due to having Type 2 diabeties.... bless her.

i'm dudey down 6lb this month so currently at a scale crushing 17st 12lb did hit 16'3 this summer but injuries and such put me up to 18'4 very quickly. so looking to get to about 15ish eventually fingers crossed hopefully i'll be able to go shirtless at the beach this summer

Hey, has anyone heard how Teel is doing? I hope she's getting better. And where have Kirsty, Carol and Peacock got to? Haven't heard from them in an age. Speaking of which, that Cat and Veggie are pretty quiet this week too? What you lot doing out there? SW is MIA too....come back you lot....

I'm just busy trying to get ready for my trip home..house in order etc..get bills paid..going to work and STILL dealing with that superstore would you believe it is now 2 months since I left there and they still have'nt paid up so now i've brought the union in BUT she wants photocopies of my payslips and once I left I pretty much threw my records out because I was glad to see the back of that place so now i'm sat here with a beer in one hand, payslips and calendar in the other trying to suss it all out I'll come up with some bloody figures before the nights out and send them to her in the morning i'm past caring about the money I just want to throw some
