Syn Value?
Hi
Anybody know the Syn value of Knors's Ragu sauce. Its the 'onion and roasted garlic' one. I cant find it in the food directory. Many thanks |

Taken off the members 'syns online' |
I've had a busy week so I'm just sneaking in to say hi!
Welshtigger - i will have to try those chilli quorn sausages - i am not keen on the ordinary quorn ones. Bits - yum yum the lemon chicken sounds nice - I will give it a try. EVERYONE have a great week and be good! I only lost 1 pound this week - but it is my star week too! |

Hi

Hi Scottie ~ i had a quick scout round Tesco earlier and i couldn't find any. i did look near the super noodles as well. i'll keep looking! ;-) thanks!!
|

Weigh in day today. Lost 2 1/2lbs...........that makes 8 1/2 in 2 weeks :carrot: ............and I got my 7lbs sticker and slimmer of the week sticker ;)
Bought the 'green' book today to give me more ideas. |
You're off to a great start Antari! When I used to go along to the meetings I used to love getting the stickers and sticking them onto my book :) Cherry, you're doing really well too, you must both be really chuffed!
I'm just hoping for a change this week - I've been the same weight for three weeks on the trot, I think I'd even be happy to gain, just so long as I saw a different numbe on the scales ;) Those noodles sound lovely, I'm going to have to go scouting for them too! |
Bits - I'm crossing my fingers for you - i'm sure you will lose this week!!
Antari - well done!! I'm sure I've seen those noodles in Morrisons - I'll check tomorrow. I had some of the frozen Morrisons mash, swede and carrots (5 syns for the whole bag!) for tea with some veggies and gravy (2 syns) it was lovely. I am feeling nibbly tonight so am munching on some grapes. I think i'll have a red day tomorrow. I fancy some fish in sauce. |
Hello all,

Scottie,
Your using fit day? I find it all so confusing..what exactly is a cup? I remember trying to log in the food after measuring it and it says like one serving=1 cup..could you clarify this for me?:) Thanks in advance. |
Well done Scottie
I use the slimming world on line diary everyday which seems to keep me on track. |
I had a small gain last night (1/2 pound) :?: and feeling a bit deflated. i know it's not much, but i've been so dedicated.
I'm going to give 110% this week! But am already craving chocolate. :( |

Thanks very much veggie..i hate numbers imagine half a litre of rice??:dizzy: Too confusing for me:dizzy: ... |
What are you all up to this weekend? And what are you all planning to eat?
We usually have a takeaway tonight but I am making a quorn chilli instead with lots of rice. I am just going to look up soured cream to see if I can have a bit with the spicy chilli. I am serving the rest of the family onion rings so I had better resistthem! |
Well done Welshtigger!
Going to try a recipe out of the green book...........chick peas with tomatoes. Will let you know if it's any good. :) |

Hi ladies
I had a really good week but yet again at the weekend I let myself down. I had a takeaway on saturday night and then on sunday I was terrible. I still had a 2 pound loss but it would have been more I'm sure. I only have 4 pounds to go to reach my first mini goal so I really need to have a couple of good weeks. |
i had been good also :) .......up untill the weekend this is :o when i always let myself down....purely by picking more at my little boys sweets and stuff dont know why but saturday is always the worst back on track today though get weighed tomorrow so will need to be good to get results ......am trying to be positive lol :dizzy:

Hi folks, mind if i join you SW girls (any guys!) ??
I've done SW plan a few times on and off over the last few years. Last year was a fairly eventful year and as hard as I tried I just couldnt stick with it. Soo I am planning on starting it again on 23rd March. Which will give me a couple of weeks to get the right mind set to do this, this time - for the last time! lol Anyway no doubt you will all hear more from me soon, but i'll be lurking for a week or so just getting ready. Dolci :) |
Hi Dolci, good to see you here. Like the signature!
Lost another 1lb this week :carrot: |
Antari - well done - another pound gone.
SWC - thanks Dolci - welcome! |
Well done to Cherrycupcake and Antari on your losses - I'm determined to be a loser this week too ;)
Hello Dolci, I hope you start off in the right spirits! *hopes Scottie had some good news at the weigh in* I must say, the weekends get to me too. I was determined but then I went shopping when I was starving on Saturday night and bought a tub of Haagan Dazs - oops :D Anyway, it was delicious of course, but I did feel very guilty after eating half the tub! plus I then finished it off the next night. But I've had my splurge, and this week so far has been good. I found an Asda around the corner from the hotel I'm in this week (I'm yet another one in Wales this week!) and so have been buying healthy eating type sandwiches for my tea. Today has been so sunny, I really enjoyed a chicken and bacon salad for my lunch too! Slimming World has no chance when I'm away, but I do still watch the calories and things. Plus I actually got on my exercise bike again at the weekend instead of just looking at it as I have been doing over the last few weeks! ;) |
not sure if im doin this right, was wonderin if i cud have the rice pud recipe?
thanks |
:carrot: :carrot: :carrot: wooooooooooooooo hooooooooooooooooooooo i lost a pound this week really pleased...have been running 3 times this week too, so fingers crossed it'll be a good result next week too-off out again for a run this evening-we're training to run the race for life-did it a few years ago-but want to run it all this time...so figured it'd be a good start anyway...well done everyone on their weeks xx :carrot: :carrot: :carrot:
|
Well done Welshtigger, that's great news! I hope I'm going to join you this week with a loss!
For the rice pudding, I don't properly measure really, but I use roughly 2.5 ounces of pudding rice, and about 300 mls of liquid. I tend to use 250mls of milk from my allowance and then top it up with water if needed. You need to let it cook very slowly on the hob for quite a while - I test it every now and then to see if the rice is nice and soft. I don't add the sugar until I take it off the heat, that way it's a lot less likely to burn. Mixing in some frozen berries when it's in your bowl is nice too :) The last couple of times I have made it though it didn't turn out quite so nice so I have a feeling I may have changed my method, lol! |
Hello there,
WelshTiger-Fantastic 1 pound losss:carrot: whooo hoo Bits-mmm..hagen daaz i got some in my freezer :o who bought that i wonder:o Wlecome DolciFiori!!!:) Ladies, i really need a boost ALL my motivation is gone and in June i'm finally gonna be meeting this guy i havent seen in ages. I don;t want to leave the plan so i had this great idea to tweek it a little. I'm normally a Green day kinda girl. This week i want to go red i.e. high protein. I don't know why but i think this will work. The changes i'm gonna make are i want to add protein shakes to my workout i have whey protein shakes to encourage my body to build more muscle..Does anyone know the points of these shakes. I want to take one before every workout and add nuts and cheese as my healthy extras A and B to see what difference it makes. what do you ladies think. I really need to get motivated again. I just can't i don't know why ive put on all the 7 pounds i lost and am now back to 12.8 again. Do you ladies have any ideas? I'm going to be excercising 6 times a week now 1 hr swimming, and 30 minutes at Curves. I'm determined to loose my 4 inches at the nxt Curves weigh in, next month April 14. |
SWC, I think a change in diet almost always works wonders, so long as it's still helathy. I'm like you, always a green day girl, I haven't had a red day at all yet this time!
I really don't know anything about protein shakes, would you be using them to replace something or as an extra? The only shakes I could think of to compare them with are Slim-fast, and looking at the syns online guide, they're all 11 syns each! Pretty hefty! Maybe knowing that you're going to meet this guy again will be the motivation that you need...it's already got you thinking about changing things so *fingers crossed* Plus, just look at all the weight that you've lost so far...you're way over halfway to your target, and when you get there, you'll be able to just walk into any shop, pick something off the hanger and have it fit perfectly! Your exercise routine sounds pretty good too, swimming is great and you've got curves to help with the rest! Maybe have a think about what you would like to weight for June, and work towards that as a mini target :) |
Thank you so much bits:hug: .
I've decided to set my goal for June at 11 stone hopefully. So i did the whole red day thing wasn't hungry one bit. I like it very much so far...I'm starting a countdown to April 14. That's my next Curves weigh in and i'm hoping to have lost 2.5 inches off my hips so i'm working out twice a day 30 minutes each and cos i got star week and cant go swimming.Hope this works ladies.. |
