Welcome Maryann!! Basically what we do on this thread is post our failures, successes, we vent, we do all kinds of stuff. If you prefer to PM anyone of us that is cool. All the Sistas are here to support and lend a helping hand. Have you had a chance to read the entire thread. What brought you to 3FC? This is an awesome sight to be on.

Hey Sistas!

How are all my lovely ladies doing today?

Regina: How's the exercise going this week? I was sitting in my big comfy chair last night watching TV and I thought about your post... I was like, if Regina's gonna commit to exercise, I better get my butt outta this chair and commit too! Then I put in my earbuds, cranked up some good dancing music on my Ipod and danced around cleaning my house for about 2 hours! Thanks for the motivation girl!

Angie and Cassy: 24 hours with no junk food... you guys rock! I couldn't do it. I love my junk food. Key for me is TINY portions.

Welcome to the new sistas!

I love it! we can do it Cassy,,,no junk for 24 hrs. I wanna be there with you and all the octukitty! Go Wings Go!
Im doing a caberat thing for a charity event...no I don't sing,,,I stage manage. Anyways they want everyone in flames jerseys,,,Im like ahh no,,,either nothing or my wings jersey. And I even have my name on the back! Gotta ask,,,do the radio stations torture the Flames Players when they are there for a game? Cause if the Ducks are here they find out which hotel and then do pretty much everything to wake them at like 4 am...or whatever to make sure they dont' get enough sleep. Just hope that thee is some payback for the players for torturing....

Amanda mae,,,24 hours ...that really isn't that long...lol you are alseep for part of that...

Well Im off to the Dr. office,,,I will let you all know what happens...
later gator

Hi ladies...sorry it took me so long to respond. I have talked to some others on other thread and this is just cool. I am so happy I found you all. Now I just have to remember my threads..lol...You all sound like a great bunch and I am happy to be a part of it...thanks for all of the warm welcomes and congrats on the recent successes you all have accomplished. I hope to soon be posting some great news too. I am kinda doing my own thing with ww, southbeach, excersise and water....

PCOS and IR is:
PCOS stands for Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome. PCOS is actually a misnomer, because it only refers to one of many symptoms associated with this disorder. It affects between 5 to 10% of all women and is one of the leading causes of infertility. If the hormone imbalance is left untreated, the syndrome may lead to life-threatening illnesses such as diabetes, heart disease, stroke, obesity, and uterine and endometrial cancers. The IR is insulin resistence which basically means that my body does not break down foods and things the way it should especially bad carbs and stores everything as fat. Yippee . jk.
If you want any more info on this I can get it to you...

So, I am excited to get to know you all more...talk to you soon..

Cassy,,,so I have my referral,,,he was all for it,,,guess he had read a medical report on this Dr. recently so he was excited for me to go.
I guess there is like a 1 month waiting list,,,I can deal with that...Im just glad my Dr is all for it. He was totally against surgery...I brought it up cause hey why not? He freaked...hmmm ummm ok Dr. Bell settle down...yikes.

Princess, I thought I had PCOS and again visited with my Dr. was told I didn't but I sure had more then half the symtoms...

I took my youngest son to see a Beauty and the Beast done by local theatre,,,I knew half the cast members...it was Fantastic! loved the whole show and want to go and see it again,,,but alas no time. I have my caberat and then Tanner( youngest son)'s play starting Tuesday. Can't miss that,,hes the lead...Aladdin...just call him Al...lol Next weekend I plan to go see a play called Eve, written / directed by a couple of good friends of mine. Have done a few shows with them...looking forward to this show.

well off to bed I go...night all

ANGIE.... I AM SO GALD YOU GOT THE REFERRAL I AM GLAD THE THREAT OF SURGERY WORKED FOR YOU TOO. I TRIED THAT WITH MY DOCTOR AND HE WAS LIKE " UMM, JUST EXCERCISE. " I TRIED TO BUILD A MEDICAL CASE FOR IT BY SAYING" MY KNEES HURT WHEN I WALK, IT IS SOOOO PAINFUL!" HE WAS ALL LIKE " UMM, EXCERCISE" WHATEVER!!!

I THINK I AM GOING TO GET SOME MESOTHERAPY, THAT IS A NATURAL INJECTION OVER 6 MONTHS TO DESTROY FAT. MY FRIEND HAD IT DONE. SHE SAID IT REALLY ITCHED FOR A WHILE BUT AFTERWARDS SHE WAS HAPPY. THE FRENCH AND ITALIANS HAVE USED IT FOR YEARS!!!

WELL I AM OFF.. LOVE YALL!

Good morning!

Angie: Congrats on the referral! I'm sure the months wait will pass quickly

Cassy: I'm with Angie on the injections... never heard of them! Where do you get something like that done?

Regina!!!! It's been a few days since we've heard from you girl! Hope everything is going ok for you

Well, all is well with me. Busy as usual. I'm still working crazy hours, but the OT $$$$$ is nice I've got to save some cash to go shopping for new clothes and a swimsuit before my vacation mid-June!

Weigh in was this morning. Down to 154. Another pound gone for good!

Unhappy

I have come from under my rock today. I lost a pound, the same little pound that I was playing with a few weeks back. I am definitely a talker and not a doer. I did not follow through on my mini goals and am ashamed at myself especially for letting you all down. I am trying to pull myself up right now, I'm in a denial stage when it comes to this whole weightloss thing and I am beating myself up over it. I started this week out fine and ready to take on the world, by Wednesday I was so fed up with it all. I am having a FAT DAY TODAY and am not real peppy. I am trying to find the drive within me like I had my first month doing this. I feel lost right now and think I am going to take a breather right now and try to focus on what my problem is and then come up with a solution to get there. I think I am stressing myself out to much to lose the weight like NOW and expect it to come off like YESTERDAY and that is definitely not going to happen. If you do not hear from me for a while it is because I have crawled back into my little hole and I'm trying to get a grip.

It can be frustrating and SO HARD to stick to - I was in the same boat as you the last few days. I think you're right, we stress too much over our weight loss. I find that the harder I try to lose, the more food is my central focus. Can't dwell on what i can and cannot eat or what I should be doing instead of sitting in front of the TV. Anyone that has the secret to that success needs to clue the rest of us in. I discussed it with my other half, typical man - I'm sure you can imagine what his idea is to take my mind off my weight depression!
Hang in there Regina, we've all been or are at the same place you are.
