  • Cassy: Great to have you back girl! Stay positive!!! Oh, and way to go with those workouts. I haven't been working out as much as I'd like. Still working out, but not as much as I should! The meso-therapy sounds interesting. Don't think it's anything I'll be trying because a) it's expensive and I'm broke AND b) I'm a wuss, and any bruising or itching would drive me nuts! Hehehe.

    Barbara: *Amanda mae whispers* I'm a Packer Fan.... shhhhhh. Don't tell anyone Hehehe. Kind of embarassing with the crappy seasons they've had lately. I don't watch faithfully, but I do enjoy it! And, I am one of the WW's doing it on my own. I actually LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! I don't go to meetings because as I mentioned above, I'm broke. But, I got all the materials from a friend who went last year and liked it. I started on 3/7/06 at 168 lbs and I'm already down to 154 lbs. Now, I say "already" down to 154 because prior to starting my WW's on my own thing I was STUCK at 170 ish for over a year! If you're going to go at it on your own I have a couple suggestions: 1) Journal, journal, journal. Every bite that goes into my mouth gets put into my food journal. It really keeps me accountable. 2) Set a weigh in for yourself! Just because you're not going to meetings doesn't mean you can't have a weigh-in day! I keep my scale put away until Friday mornings. Then, I get it out and weigh in. This has worked really well for me.

    Barbra, nah Im no hockey fantic...believe me! I like th Wings cause of a relative but I think I would actually raither go to a football game...but I don't know anything about CFL Or NFL just local football...

    I Am Starting To Be That Way About Working Out. I Am Obsessing Over It. I Was Depressed This Morning And I Did Was An Addict Does, I Went To Get Food To Fill That Craving-taco Bell Was The Drug Of Choice. So Ate It And Did Not Enjoy It-but Ate It Anyway. I Went To Sleep. When I Woke Up I Instantly Thought About Working Out. I Got Up Went To The Gym And Did The Elipitical For 40min And Lifted On My Legs. Then I Went Home. But It Felt So Routine I Didnt Really Seem That I Made An Extra Effort-which Is Huge For Me! I Just Hope That I Can To Keep It Up! I Have So Much To Work On Ladies, So Many Problem Areas, So Many Short Term Goals.

    I Am Seeing Changes But It Is Not Nearly Enough, Not Nearly As Fast You Know.. I Know What You All Are Saying(baby Steps) But I Just Want To Really Do This For 2006 More Than Ever.

    My Sis Is Doing Really Well With Tj Too.. She Is Down 3 Sizes. She Is My Idol Too Amanda

  • Cassy,,,ELLO...gonna go and check out that mesocanada site...thanks! Ya know sometimes eating that lil bit of junk can make your body feel so bad that you don't want to do it again for awhile. I want to be there again. I do the stupid binge eat,,,eat clean for days,,,binge,,,then starve and start over. *sigh something other then my mouth needs to get some control.
    I have a Body For Life book that I followed faithfully for years and did so well with,,,after getting hurt,,bruising the heck out of my ankle,,deep tissue damage. Tearing the rotary (sp) cuff in my shoulder then breaking my foot,,I think its time to take a break from all my trips to the ER and get down to loosing some weight. I know its all there,,,Im just scared. I had such will power,,,such drive. Not sure if I have what it takes to do it again...
    But will try...would raither try and fail then fail to try....my new motto

    Only have a couple minutes, but I wanted to drop in and say hi

    Weigh in this morning was WONDERFUL. Down three pounds this week to 151! The idea that I may really be able to wear a bikini at my concert/festival this summer is starting to seem more like a reality than a dream... and that is the most amazing feeling.

    I wouldn't be able to do it without you guys. Everytime I want to lay around and watch tv or eat whatever junk I may feel like eating I think about my sistas... and how 2006 is OUR YEAR!!!!! THANK YOU GUYS

  • Hope everyone had a great weekend!

    Mine was busy but fun. Spent Saturday walking around a local town because they had their annual community-wide garage sales. Didn't find anything good, but got a heck of a workout Sunday my boyfriend and I went disk golfing and packed a picnic lunch and once again enjoyed the beautiful weather!

    Barbara: YUP! I'm the one going to see Toby... and about 20 other country musicians at a huge outdoor concert in June! I'm so excited, I can't wait.

    I just bought Josh Turner's cd,,,love that one song Your Man.

    I ate clean today,,,water included! I bought the new 3FC book,,,what a great read. I laughed a few times,,,cause man I can so relate to what they are saying.

    I was feeling so moody over the fact of having to wait a full 4-5 months till I saw Dr. McKenna,,,then thought,,,well Ang,,,it took you how long to gain this weight? It kinda snapped me out of the funk...I am done with my theatre stuff,,,which i am happy about. Cleaned the house all day Sunday, the basement is even cleaned as best as we can...feeling more on top of things so that makes for the personal stuff (dieting) so much easier to work around. I tend to feel overwhelmed when the house is a wreck.

    Im working full time again...for the next two months,,,get July half time then full time till end of Oct.

    So how is everyone doing? I hope everyone is doing fine. I think we need to have a little challenge since Memorial Day is coming up. Something to help jump start ourselves for Summer. I promise to stay focused so I have happy losses to report. O.K. What if we did a little challenge from May 29th - June 19th. How does that sound? We each need to consume our alloted water for the day and each week we report our losses or gains...any takers?????? Well I better go a pretend like I am working HA!HA! Miss hearing from everyone. Keep smiling ladies!!!!

    OK I AM OUT OF ORDER FOR NOT CHECKING IN MORE OFTEN. HOW ARE ALL MY SISTA'S DOING. MY GIRL REGINA IS RIGHT, THE POSTS ARE LIGHT. I THINK WE SHOULD DO A PM TO ALL THE WAYWARD SISTAS ENCOURAGING THEM TO CHECK IN.     ANGIE... YOU ARE SO RIGHT GIRL.. IT DID NOT COME ON YOU OVERNIGHT. THE HARDEST THING TO HAVE IS PATIENCE THRU ALL THIS. I WAS THINKING ABOUT GOING TO CHICAGO TO SEE THIS DOCTOR MEHMET OZ AND DR. ROSEN FROM THIS EPISODE ON OPRAH. THE WORTE THIS BOOK THAT HAS OPENED MY EYES TO SO MUCH HORRIBLENESS THAT I PUT IN MY BODY. THEIR BOOK IS CALLED- YOU: THE OWNERS MANUAL.

    O.K do you have a magical secret that we aren't aware of that one can lose weight without exercising because I want to know it like now chickie... Please I'll be your friend. Basically the challenge is do what you need to succeed in the game. I am not going to lay down any rules because I don't want people feeling discouraged, flustered, etc. are you feeling me. I want everybody to go at there own pace without feeling any pressure. I am going to PM the other sistas to see how they are all doing.
  • I'm am a slacker sistas' :O( My most sincerest apologies!! I got so caught up with doin' a 30 day challenge with the members of my local gym,, I just lost track of time... I was exercising in every available moment of spare time,, I was determined to not be the biggest failure!! The 30 days was over last week :O) I won first prize, I'm the biggest loser at my gym!! Now I need a new challenge to get my butt back into gear... I lost twelve and 3/4 inches all over and 13 pounds,, I had a stomach flu and strep throat for 10 days though and I'm still ticked off 'cuz I just imagine how much more I could've lost if I hadnt been such a wussy and stayed in bed so much!! So now I'm back to being a lazy bum, sittin' on my butt and playing on the internet :O) I need some motivation really bad, before I gain back all I worked so hard to lose....I really feel bad for abandoning everyone here :O( I avoided the computer alot 'cuz I tend to get lost on the internet for hours on end and I found it was easier for me to not even turn it on!! Please don't hold my weakness against me forever :O) I'll be a good buddy, I promise ....
