Way to go Jolly!!!! hope u feel better Marble.. tho i have to tell ya that stomch stuff lasts @ 2 weeks..
Great!
I've very hungry, overate only once and not that bad, but salty smoked fish held on to all 4 bottles of water, and food intake... upset and still hunry I survived last two days.... challenges, except for lunch one, which was day 21 yesterday have been let go. Restarting today I guess.
Feeling the same with my stomach since morning, could not even eat lunch. One bite and I will puke I think. Same as marbelys, anything to go back to bed, but not an option. Go LIVE is tomorrow morning!
Hi everyone.... is this where we sign in for our challenges? I have created a challenge for myself. My mom is an excellent nurse and she has "assigned" a diet for me to follow. My challenge is to follow this diet to a T for the next 21 days (and thereafter) not only because I may lose a pound or two but also because the diet is what my body needs to function better for me. Step one of my challenge will be to not cheat ; step two of my challenge will be to finish off at least 4 bottles - 2 servings each - of water; and step three will be to exercise at the very minimum 5 days a week.... step one will be the hardest because it is a high protein diet with only about 50 - 100g of carbs and no calorie restrictions... I don't like meat and veggie burger isn't the best to eat when you need close to 9 or 12 servings a day...
Wish me luck and good luck to everyone else also... - gonna miss my chocolate
Hello Dance! You picked a great challenge! And I like your reward idea. I tend to think up rewards for actual weight lost, but a challenge completed is worth a reward too!
Thanks for the welcome, Apple! Actually I have a whole series of rewards, including for weight loss! Also for steps walked, even housecleaning. Today I went over $90 in blow money for my cruise!! Yay!
Hang in there with the motivation; hope you find what works for you. Seems like we get started and all gung ho and then if we are not careful, whoops, there we go slipping up again! Don't give up!!!
LOL well I have completed Day 1 -- only 20 more to go!!! (For this challenge; lots more after that!!)
Well, Day 5 is done. Got to the gym this morning and knocked out the exercises. Only jogged 3K but it's better than nothing. I really, really, really did not feel like going to the gym this morning. Just felt like staying in bed and crying. But once I jogged I felt better, then had a mega stressful day at the office! It's war there and things are getting even crazier...if that's possible. It ain't purty!
dance -- Hi there! Glad to have you aboard. Looks like you've had a successful liftoff already! Way to go! Hope to see lots of you!
tia -- on another rousing start to a new challenge!
curly -- Excellent work! You're one champ, aren't you?!
aileigh -- Yup, this is where you sign up! Did you read the first post of this thread. If not, please do, that has rules and such. So, are you doing three different challenges or are you going to start all over even if you flub just one component? Good luck!
CB -- What!?!?! You blew your challenge on the last day?! No way! Tell me it isn't so?! I'm sure you must have an extra pause day in there somewhere, no? And what's this with 700 calories? That's not healthy. I'd be passing out!
girlie -- Hello. Nice to hear from you again and thanks for the nice long post. Glad you like the avatar! What is the "other white meat?" Mysterious! Is this dog or something? Sorry, I'm out of it and living in Tokyo I think most anything is game...well, being close to Korea and China, that is. Great going on your challenge. 9 days down! Wow!
marb -- Good luck!
jolly -- Whoops! Oh well, Fat Tuesday and all that...at least you only fell off the wagon one day...I have been much worse...sigh. You and your level 1s. You're a stronger woman than I!
Apple -- Let's see if we can all give you a hand looking for that motivation. I'm sure it's around somewhere. Don't give up!
Fish -- You're smokin'!!! How DO you do it?!?! Hope you find something fun at Barney's!
Sushi -- Got you! You're a challenge machine!! Best of luck!
Others, where are you? carla?! chai, JCT? jen, freaky, tay? shad, you out there? surf? Anyone I missed?

Hey everyone. Just a quick post before I am off to the work stress of the day. I feel like crap this morning. Food hangover, plus, I moved a 4 drawer wood filing cabinet yesterday - ouch
So, will head to the gym after work, where I will be sensible and eat healthy, and not drown my stress with .
Yesterday was day 14 on both challenges - I had 1588 calories and walked about 75 minutes. There was nothing good at the Barneys sale. Practically everything was ugly, to start with, and the very few items I liked were either still too much money, or were trashed and dirty. I almost bought a Marc Jacobs mini-skirt, it was REALLY cute, but it was also REALLY short . And I couldn't justify spending the money because the only reason I would even have bought it is to name drop the designer! I could get something similar from the Gap or J. Crew.
Marbleflys - good to see you here again! I like the pushup challenges because they are easy to bust out and get over with.
GirlieYorkie - it looks as if you are doing well on your challenges - keep up the good work. BTW, I'm an attorney in the securities compliance field, and right now is one of my client's busy filing period. So I get pretty busy at times.
Red - I am glad you felt better after jogging. Isn't it amazing how much exercise can be a stress relief? Just goes to show we are definitely doing good things for our bodies, both physically and mentally.
I hope all you sickies get better soon. Upset tummies are no good. I have major cramps today b/c of TOM, and that is bad enough. At least everything stays down.
Back to the grindstone! I hope everyone has a great day!
Thanks everyone for the get-well wishes.....I seem to have worked it out of my system quickly with minimal *icky stuff*....several people at work have the same problem, so it's making the rounds.
I hope to get myself in gear to begin some real exercise time....I certainly need to step up the cardio or I'll never get the rest of this weight off!
Red, I said that I let go of all challenges except lunch one... And yes I did make to 21st day on Monday, so I am done...it is completed.
Yesterday I only had breakfast, and then a pice of string cheese. Rest of the day I drank water, that's all. Lost a few pounds gained over the weekend. Have not eaten anything since that string cheese yesterday over 24 hours now. Feel a little bit better, but still weak....Thank you for everyone's wishes to get better. NO time to write, no time to workout....Workwise thigns are very stressful. Must run. Take care all.
lOL I didn't get very far into my challenge - I have to start over... uhm day one is thursday hee hee..... my cold interfered and will be my scapegoat. anyone have any ideas on getting more protein without it being so hard.... I don't know how to cook fish and fish is what I like, but I have been downing some lean ham and turkey... will get chicken breast when I go grocery shopping, but any good ideas that will make this diet easier will be super appreciated.... THANKS!!!!!
Thanks redballoon and curly locks - yeah i read the first post and I hope to follow the rules, but if I break one, I don't mean to!!! I will try to get to know everyone doing the challenge and hopefully be a motivator of some type with good words....
Thanks for the welcome!!!!!!!
Far as fish goes (and I eat a lot of it) I buy a thickish fillet and either put it on a grill (bbq or bar grill type frypan) and let it cook skin side down for 5 mins and then flip it and cook the other side for less than a minute. I tend to have the grill plate quite hot. Sometimes I will spray the grill so it doesn't stick. This way the skin goes wonderfully crispy and the rest is just done.
I don't put any seasoning on it but you could, and I tend to vary the meals with either a fat free or lo fat sauce (packet) or natural yoghurt flavoured with fresh herbs (mint, oregano, cucumber, taragon, etc. sort of like an Indian Raita) Works for me.
Hello to all my 21 day buddies. Nice to see you all posting away and getting through those challenges.
