Carol, your ticker looks good!!

Lisa, I think you did great last night! You were surrounded by all sorts of delicious dishes, and, instead of just deciding to take the night off (as I might have been tempted to do), you indulged in a little dessert. I would definitely call the evening a success!

Freda, congrats on the 3 lb. loss! Fantastic!

Enough, today WILL be a better day! I know you'll make it so.

I'm trying to only weigh myself on Sundays, but I had to check it out today. Hmmmm...no change....I'm a bit bummed, but I'm trying not to focus on that. I'll just keep doing what I'm doing on Sonoma, and hope that on Sunday there will be at least a 1 lb. drop.

Have a great day everyone!

Laurie

Lydia how long did it take you to reach your goal? You are so right when you say baby steps. Hopeing that is the answer I need. Making improvements little by little. so proud of you for working with your grandaughter sounds like she just need lots of love and some stability. Hate that drs jump right to medication first.

laffnvegagas last month was my first time in Vegas and I was in awe of all the wonderful restaurants. The presentation of the food their can only be rivaled on a cruise ship.

slim me hit the button on the bottom that says go advanced and you will find so proud of you!

lizzie We will get there don't have to be on a time table right? Love the exercise tip I will incorporate that!

meowe go girl think of the calories burned vaccumming

Good Morning Everyone, Laurie, yes it was kind of a success but the scale did not agree this morning My offical weigh in day is Thursday but I will be honest I have been weighing every morning just to see where I am. I have been 156 almost every morning since Monday except Tuesday said 155.5, well, this morning it said 157 I know it was that darn Warm tasty Lava cake last night At least it is not a gian but I really wanted to see a weight loss. I know I am definitely feeling thinner so that is important. I will be honest the next 9 days will be hard because I know I will not be overly good on the cruise and since the days are so limited till we leave I know I cannot loose much between now and then. It will actually be really hard. I did walk 2 miles this morning and should be good today as far as eating so I guess we will just have to see. This darn fat just does not want to leave the body.

Carol, your signature line looks good to me

Thanks for letting me vent, I guess I am a bit frustrated. I agree that food does look pretty The sad part is one of the things Tom and I really enjoy is a Nice Dinner and a glass of champagne. The bad part is we evidently have too much of a good thing too often

luflic.... Good luck on your journey. You will do fine, just try your best. If something causes you to stumble a bit don't give up. Isn't that the way life is anyway. A lot of bends in the road as they say!

Gotta go for now, I'm trying to figure out now how to change my tracker so I can update when I loose. I'm not very good at this yet, but I will be one day LOL ! Then maybe I can help someone else out with a tracker. Bye all!

Lisa, part of enjoying life is the nice dinners and champagne, and enjoying yourself on that cruise! No, it's doubtful that you'll lose too much more before you leave, but if you keep exercising, drinking lots of water, and just really being careful, you should be fine. As for the cruise, while I know you're not going to use it as an excuse to go all out, part of the fun of cruising is the dining room experience! I loved the formality, the service, and yes, the food. Actually, I didn't overeat at dinner because I was too embarrassed to ask for seconds. That didn't stop me from hitting the buffet later, but that's another story. Also, there are lots of opportunities to walk on board, whether it's on a treadmill or around the deck in the fresh air. I think my goal would be to come home weighing the same. To me, that would be a successful cruise.

Not to be a downer, but tomorrow I'm going to the funeral of a friend who died suddenly on Sunday. He was 52. He had a great marriage, great kids, and had retired at 50 with a 2nd home in Hawaii, and without any financial worries. He really had it all. Heredity, in the form of heart disease, just wasn't on his side. Life's too short, my friend. You want chocolate, eat chocolate, and stroll hand in hand with your DH around the deck a couple of times to work it off!!

Default Good Afternoon Everyone

Lisa....You did good, so the scales don't show a loss, they will. All I can say to the Chocolate Lava Cake is Mmmmmmm Yummy. Glad you enjoyed every bite!
My husband Jim and I will be married 35 years next July and going to Vegas is at the top of my list. When we lived in California, we use to go to vegas 4 to 5 times a year. I haven't been back since 1989. It has changed so much!

Freda...YEAH on your 3lb loss. That's wonderful!

Sara...Just take each day if you can by each meal you eat. Try to clean your enviroment of the foods that trigger you to go on a binge, and keep healthy goods to replace your trigger foods. I have fresh broccoli, mushrooms and carrot slices in the frig. I also have plenty of sugar free jello and pudding on hand, plus lots of fresh fruit. I have chosen to not drink any diet soda, and I keep plenty of Wal-Mart flavored water on hand. One of my all time favorite trigger foods besides chip, dip and pizza is jelly beans. I haven't been tempted, and I'm so proud of myself to just walk by them at the store.
It will get eaiser as time go on.

So far the day is going well. I was trying to up date my tracker, but can't figure it out. My foster daughter will be back home this evening, so I will have her give me a lesson.
I have managed to stay within my points so far. Got the house cleaned this morning and now I'm watching our friends 3 Year old. He is a hand full and our cat Princess and dog Ozzy run for cover when he arrives.

Have a good day. I'll check back later if I find time.

Cheryl

Thanks Everyone, Laurie, Yes I agree life is just too darn short to not enjoy. Which is why DH and I have been doing so many cruises. We want to enjoy life now while we can and can afford it. I feel fortunate that we abel to do what we do. I know many that say they will wait till later and later never comes. But I also know we need to take care of ourselves so we can enjoy everything. Some days just seem harder than others. The kind of day I am having at work tells me I really NEED this cruise in 9 days and I plan to totally relax and eat and drink what I darn well please.

Hi everyone, hope the day went well for everyone. I am going to relax with hubby and a movie this evening, and a bowl of pop corn, no butter of course LOL. Just wanted to tell everyone that I see a lot of positive things happening for you. So cool to see.
