HELLO TO EVERYONE I MISSED!!
Well ladies i need to go, i will chat with you all soon
Good afternoon everyone. I have to confess...I didnt do bootcamp yesterday, and I didnt workout today either I went to town w/ my MIL today and we were gone ALL day long. I just wanna go to bed, LOL. and...I had (gulp..) 7 pieces of crazy bread and a 20oz dr pepper for lunch.... (i hadnt had breakfast, and it was the cheapest thing I could buy...) and now I feel so horrible for blowing my calories on that. ok back on track now
Other than that I'm doing well today, lol.... I'd get personal but since I was gone all day I have a lot of stuff I need to catch up on. I'll chat w/ y'all tomorrow.
Cindy - Let's get goin'!!! You can do it! The first week is the hardest - just take it one day at a time and pretty soon you'll be on track. We need you on the road with us!!! Man down - !!!
Chris - The ab workout was really hard at first but is getting easier. There are a couple of moves I can't do b/c of my back, but I am getting there!! Hope you are doing better!
Alisha - Hey there~! What's new!
Amanda -
Mel - Thanks! It's hard being a sclae addit but the first step is hiding it (the scale!).
Alisha: Thanks! I really need the support and I appreciate it.
Carafre: Thanks so much! It really means a lot to me, more than you know. I think I'll be okay.
Today I sure did the treadmill and I loved it! I had a blast. The garage isn't quite set up so I can watch tv yet, so I listened to my iPod. There was a song on my exercise playlist that came up right at the end of my workout by Nikka Costa called "Can't Never Did Nothin'". If you have a copy of the song, listen closely to the words. It's about making the most out of what you have and being the best you can be, and NOT making excuses or blaming others for your problems. It really spoke to me at that moment.
Bowflex... we didn't have time, we were installing a microwave that I bought today on sale (I saved $80!). Instead, during the State of the Union address I did my abs and leg exercises. It then occured to me that my floor exercises (for legs) are much harder than anything I do on the bowflex for legs! So it worked out well.
Thanks so much ladies, I'll still need your help but I think I'm on the way.
Hi ladies, I haven't been around for a while. I have totally gone off track and I guess subconsciously I was too ashamed to post here knowing I wasn't doing the right thing. Truthfully, I probably still won't be back on track until Monday since Sunday I am having a Superbowl party but I wanted to post and get into the swing of things here.
Tracey...glad to hear from you. Hey we all fall of our programs. Nothing to be embarrassed about. We're here for eachother, right? So are ya a big Super Bowl fan? I will probably get shot for saying this by everyone...but I don't really get into sports, esp. football and baseball. I can deal with basketball, because my daughter plays, but that's about it. AM I dead yet????
Okay. I'm on my way out the door to go to my sister's house. Just had to say hi to everyone.
Mel-I'm thinking your probably not doing soo good today. Hope that fever goes away and you get rid of the sickie stuff. Sending some get well ((Vibes)your way.
GOtta go. My sister and I are going to the gym this afternoon instead of tonight, so I'll have a whole evening to myself and my family.
Good Afternoon Ladies, how is everyone doing? Good i hope! Things are going ok here, i am having some MAJOR back pain today, i don't know whats going on, i hope its nothing serious. I too like Amanda have a confession to make i didn't do Taebo yesterday by the time we got home and ate dinner it was just too late, and i can not excercise after i eat, i tried that once, and threw up. So i don't want to do that again, you know?
Cynthia: I am so proud of you......keep it up!! I will have to look into that song, it sounds like a really good song, is it like a cool down song?
Cara: Not much new here, same ole' same ole'. So you like the AB workout, i can't wait to move on to that i have been giving myself a month with just the basic and then i am going to move onto the actual workout that he suggests.
Chris: Good for you getting your excercise out of the way. Thats great!!
Amanda: That is the 2nd time you have mentioned crazy bread, who makes it? It sounds like something i used to get when i lived in florida from little ceasers!? Sounds good, but your right not healthy.......Its ok!! As long as it not a EVERY day things WHICH ITS NOT then its ok.
Well ladies i am going to jump off here i will chat with you all soon. Have a great day!!
Alisha
Excercise: 55min/275min unfort i didn't work out yesterday and today i am playing by ear, it depends if my back feels better soon, i took some advil so hopefully it will be better soon!!
Hey ladies! I did the treadmill today but not the strength training. But I'm happy to report I drank all my water today! And it was pretty easy, so I must be getting used to it. I'm also up all night in the bathroom, so I wonder if it's worth it!
Welcome back Tracey!
Chris: I'm not a huge sports fan either, but I like baseball and golf. I used to like football and auto racing, but not so much anymore. It's funny you say you like basketball, because that's the one sport I just can NOT stand! Especially the NBA; some of the college hoops are okay. Actually, college sports in general are a little more entertaining; less attitudes, I guess.
Alisha: Hello! No, that song is really kind of upbeat and funky. As are all the songs on my exercise playlist. A weird mix of current stuff, 80's stuff, heavy metal, pop... you name it, as long as it's jumpy and fast it helps me workout!
Hope everyone else is doing okay today. Carafre, Amanda, Julie, Melissa, hope to hear from you soon!
By the way, I guess this week's challenge sort of fell through. Does anyone have any ideas for next week? We really should come up with the challenge by like Thursdays or so, that way we can all agree on it and we're ready for it. Any ideas?
Ooh, almost forgot! I actually won something today and I've never won anything before! (Well, except in Vegas but that doesn't count). I won tickets to a private concert with Shawn Mullins here in Atlanta. We really like his music and are very excited about seeing him.
Anyway, so one of my hubby's coworkers has teenage daughters who will watch the Sir that evening. Very scary, he's never had a babysitter before! I'm not so worried about him, because he's such a laid back and happy baby and makes friends easily. I just don't want him to be playing for an hour and all of a sudden realize he hasn't seen Mommy or Daddy anywhere. I hope it doesn't scare him. He has never met these girls and we will be bringing him to their house. Any advice?
HI, just checkin in for the night. I went to the gym with my sister this afternoon. I got 20 min on the elliptical and 40 min of lifecircuit. We discovered that you can burn twice the calories on an elliptical rather than a treadmill in less time. My body is still trying to adjust to that. It takes me about 10 min. into a workout before my muscles finally quit feeling like they are gonna die. Then its easy sailing.
Well. I know you are all sick of me saying this...but I gotta go and get some homework done. Check back tomorrow after my marathon day of running. Work, then shuttling kids to all their activities. Then ER and more homework.
Cindy - Good fror you on the exercise & water!!The only thing I can think of is to have the Sir meet with the sitters before you guys go out, like at a park or your home. You know, having fun w/ mommy around to show him it's ok & these girls are mommies helpers. and then on the night you go out, have them come over 30 minutes or so early as to reassure him. Just some thoughts. This worked with my daughter. My son has yet to have been left alone with anyone but mommy!!
Yes - let's get the next challenge figured out tomorrow. I still say we do the minutes thing. i forgot, but will try again Sat.. We could also do something else?? Any ideas - I have none right now.
Alisha - WHOA - take it easy with that back! Is it your actual back or kidneys?? Please take care & don't workout if it hurts at all.
Chris - howdy - Ellipticals are the best! I get bored after 10 or 15 minutes. I guess I need an I=Pod or whatever it is!!
Hi to all I've missed - hope you are wwll. see, I am tired.
Good early morning ladies! My hubby took my laptop again so I've got to get my surfing and posting done on his desktop before going downstairs for breakfast.
Carafre: Those are good suggestions. Except we're bringing him over to the babysitters' house, they're not coming here. But I think he'll be fine. My hubby's not worried about it and I talked to my Mom and she's not worried, and usually I get really good advice from them. I'll let you know how it goes.
Chris: I love the ellipticals! That's what I always used when we went to Gold's Gym. When it came time to get a machine for home, that's what I wanted but hubby didn't like using them, so we got a treadmill which is fine for me but like you said I have to stay on it for an hour to feel I did a great job.
Okay, all, today will be a Great Fitness day for all of us! Let's do it!
Carafre, your suggestion of minutes is great. How many minutes?
Hello all! SOrry, I haven't been here. Tuesday, my dd was sick and then I got a 102 fever, which thank Goodness was gone by yesterday. Yesterday was the CT scan for DS and we ended up there all afternoon. Not sure what's going on, but it wasn't a perfectly normal scan. Doesn't look like anything serious, but we don't really know...ahhhh well, no we await the doctor to call us... I hate this part.
Anyway, as far as food, I'm doing fine, since I didn't have much of an appitite the last 2 days. I think I ate a days worth of points in two days. Maybe that will make for a good weigh in.
Chris, thanks for the vibes! Hope you are doing well. How is everything on the old site?
Alisha, I hope your back is feeling better!
Cindy, great job on the water and exercise.
Cara, Amanda, what kind of challenges do you normally do? I hope by next week, I'll be able to participate in some!
Ok, sorry, I wasn't more personal, I am just beat from all the anxity over here. I'll try to get back later and post some more. Have a great day all.
The minutes challenge was actually Alisha's idea from last week. I didn't keep track so I thought we could redo it this week!! Starting Saturday! I challenge everyone who wants to participate to do no less than 200 minutes this week.I also challenge everyone to eat one orange everyday. Just to mix things up a bit.
Good Afternoon Ladies. How is everyone doing? Good i hope! I am feeling a little better today, the back pains are off and on. I did not excercise yesterday not because i didn't want too, because i could not. Today i think i am going to try....wish me luck.
Cara: I think your idea for the challenge is great, i like the orange challenge. Thats great!!
Cynthia: I don't think Cara could of said it any better. I think it would be great if you could meet with the girls that will be watching the Sir that way he can start to get comfortable with them. And just make sure when you leave that you don't wait until he is occupied and duck out. Make sure you say goodbye and that mommy and daddy will be back soon. That way when he sees your gone he knows your coming back.
Chris: You watch ER?? I LOVE ER!!
Mel: I hope you get to feeling better! Take it easy!! Doesn't it such to have to watch your kids go through all those tests...etc....if you don't mind me asking what is your DS getting tested for. See my little one has to have X-Rays and blood drawn every 4 Months because he has Hypothryoidism and they have to do the X-Rays to make sure his bones are growing like they should. And the blood drawn to make sure the Hypo has not got worse. And that the right dose of medicine is right for him, its so sad my little one has to take medicine everyday....he knows how to hold the little syrenge (spelling??) and put the medicine in his own mouth. I hate it for him!
Amanda: How ya doing??
Well ladies i forgot to mention that yesterday we had our oldest tested for ADD/ADHD and unfort. he is diagnosed with ADD so we have to do some research to see what kind of medicine we want to put him on. Sucks, now both of my babies are on medicine. Anyone have any suggestions or know of where i can find some good information on ADD? Any advice would be nice.
Well i hope everyone has a great day, i will chat with you all later.
