Hi everyone.
Sorry i've not been around. I am feeling better, thank goodness. TOM is here and I have been eating WAY off plan...I've been kind of embarrassed to post, LOL. Monday wasnt so bad. DH and I went to Ruby Tuesday for dinner (our anniversary, 7 years) I had the petite sirloin, baked potato, steamed broccoli, and a small plate of salad w/ ranch dressing. That's actually all I ate all day, because we were out looking for DH a vehicle to replace his truck while he rebuilds the engine.
I didnt make my anniversary goal, but I only have myself to blame for that. I've been eating horribly and I haven't exercised in weeks. So Ladies, Line up and give me a swift kick in the rear to get me on the right track again I'm going to try to do my Kathy Smith workout today. My menu for today is as follows
Breakfast: Slim fast optima shake
Lunch; Bacon & egg sandwich
Dinner: 2 small enchiladas
Snack: Dannon Activa yogurt

I'll check back in later and try to catch up on the missed posts. Hope you all have a great day!

Morning...getting some posting done before the day gets all screwed up. Now I have Kayla home sick with a fever, etc. Tiana went to school today and Nicole is still wheezing..but running around like a maniac (from the albuterol). No rest for this mom.

Cara-I think the Sammy rolls sound awesome. I'm going to make some today. They really sound good.

Hi all you other mamas. Here's my recipe (Kind of a day late)...but it's yummy....

1 large container of fat-free cottage cheese
1 container of ff cool whip
1 sm. envelope of sugar free jello (any flavor..orange or lime is best)

Mix these all together and refrigerate. It's a yummy, low cal dessert. South-beach approved even. It's just a quick one but my kids even like eating it. You can make it smoother too, if you want, by putting it in a blender and chilling it too.

I'm taking my mini-break right now. I just disinfected my whole kitchen with bleach. Counters, cupboards, sinks, floors..nothing was safe. Next hit is the bathrooms. Then I'll tackle everyone's bedding. Not that it probably matters, I think we've all been sick now. But imagine how clean my house will be.

I still have a ton of homework to do. Darn stuff just won't go away. I have 3 accounting courses, one computer course, and a records management course so there isn't much in the line of writing papers this semester which is nice. Just alot of input on the computer and alot of numbers. Time consuming stuffs.

I think I will try one of my new dvds later today when the girls are resting. Okay...Kayla hasn't moved much at all so far today, so I guess I should quit using excuses and get with it. I have exercised 3 days in a row now though. A first for me.

I'm gonna play a couple rounds of literati on yahoo, and then I guess back to the cleaning. Gotta make those bathrooms sparkly and germ-free.

Wink Good Afternoon Ladies!!

Good Afternoon Ladies, how is everyone doing. Sorry i have not been posting that much this week, things have been hectic this week for me on Thursday DH had a Vasectomy (spelling??) yesterday and we were there much longer than we thought by the time we got back had dinner gave the kids baths did homework....blah blah i was soooo tired. And today i have been running around we have found out that we are going to be loosing the car our insurance company wants to just pay us for the car rather than fix it because what it would cost to fix it is too much. So we have to go today, tomorrow and this weekend and try and look for another affordable car...its sucks, we just paid off this car. We would of had no more payments and now....now we are going to have payments again..... Anyways so needless to say this week has been really tough on me and my eating and excercise so i have not excercised that much this week......and i don't think i will be able to until Sunday because for the next few nights we will be looking for cars after DH gets home from school. Sorry i missed the recipe post....let me think what is a good one i could post......well right now this is the only one i can think of so here it goes.....Chicken Enchiladas
Ingredients:
4chicken breast cut up into cubes or shredded
1 8oz pakage of reduced fat cream cheese
3 cups salsa (2 cups reserved for the topping)
Tortillas (soft)
Velvetta cheese REDUCED fat aprox half of the big box
1/4 cup fat free milk

Directions: In a saucepan put the cream cheese and the salsa in and cook until the cream cheese is melted on low-medium heat. Then add the chicken heat through. Take one at a time the Tortillas and spoon a couple TBSP into the Tortillas and roll them up and place them in a baking dish repeat this step until you have no more mixture left. Take the velvetta cheese and melt it in a bowl on the stove or in the microwave, take 1/4 cup milk and mix it into the cheese after its melted to thin the cheese out a little bit. Then pour the melted cheese over the rolled up tortillas and pour 2 cups salsa over the cheese cover with tinfoil and back for 20-30min ENJOY!!

Cara: Your sammy rolls sound AWESOME, i will have to go get the ingredients for them!!

Cynthia: Your veggie idea sounds great my husband will love it he has been in a real kick for some fresh cooked veggies later.

Chris: Sucks that you lost all your work and now you are having to do it over....just stay calm cool and collected How much longer until you get your degree in accounting??

Nett: I will defintly check out your recommadations! I think a change up would be nice, i have the Wisor pilates dvds have you ever tried pilates??

Mel: Mmmmm your recipe sounds delish....i will have to write that one down cause i might be starting WW real soon!! As soon as i get a little extra money! Have you checked out www.dwlz.com yet? There is lots of recipes there!

Amanda: Happy Anniversary! I am glad you and your hubby had a good night!! Thank goodness you are starting to feel better....... don't worry about falling off the wagon, i have too. I guess its stress with the accident and all.....but we will be back on track in no time!! Stay strong

Well ladies i am going to jump off here i think i have taken up too much of everyones time, sorry. I hope you all have a GREAT day!! I will try and post as much as i can in the next couple of days....we will be busy!! Have a great day!!

I'm backkkkkk.....

No, I haven't done anything else today so far. I'm just being bored and starting to get sick myself. My throat is getting sorrreeee. Darn it!

I'm working up the energy to do some homework. I should, just for the fact, if I do really get sick, I'm not going to want to finish it and most of its due on Saturday.

Okay..finding a game! Then I'll work on my homework.

Good afternoon ladies. I've been out ALL day. I went with DH to order his prescription safety glasses for work, then we went appliance shopping, then to the little mexican place we like so much, lol. After that I went to walmart w/ my coupons. I got 2pks free kotex pads and 4boxes ge lightbulbs for $0.09 per box. I used some other coupons too, but those were my best deals. Then I went to the library and then picked up christian. I'm ready for bed now, LOL.
Haleigh came home w/ a bandaid on her nose. She fell on the sidewalk at school and skinned her poor nose. she looks pitiful.
No kathy smith yet, sorry. I'll do it after I get the kids in bed, Promise

I guess I missed the recipe thing, but here's a family favorite

1lb ground beef (extra lean, or ground turkey if you like)
2 boxes Rice a Roni Original and long grain wild rice

Brown beef in large pot, then prepare rice according to package directions in same pot. Serve w/ mixed veggies and a roll.
I dont know about calories, but it tastes great

Anywho, I gotta get off here and get dinner started. I'll talk to you all later

Hi All~ Be Strong! We can do what ever we set our minds to do!

Amanda- You are the coupon Queen . Poor Haleigh. The recipe sounds good, will have to wait to try it on one of my Free days on the Eating for Life schedule. ------So have you done the Kathy Smith tape yet???? I'm holding you to it, because you will feel so much better afterword.

Chris- How was the homeword? Are you sick now even with a Clean House (I'm jealous of that )?

Alisha- I let someone borrow my Windsor tapes before I started them and they told me 'their VCR ate them'. All 3 of them... I found out that I was pregnant with Sylvia and have never done more than some Denise Austin Pilates tapes. Should I get some more?

Cindy/Cara/Mel- Thinking about you and sending out the Slimmin' thoughts too!

Good Afternoon! How is everyone doing? Hopefully good, i just wanted to drop in real quick before we head out to look at new cars, well not "new" cars but i guess its a "new" car for us.

Nett: As far as the Winsor Pilates goes, if you like yoga and pilates i think its an awesome workout...i need to loose some more wieght before i do it though.......look on ebay for it, it should be a little cheaper now that it is not as new anymore......

Amanda: Awwwww poor haliegh! Is she ok? So are you a major coupon shopper? I try to be i just can't always find the time to go to so many different stores.......do you have stores that doubles up to a 1.00?? I like those stores!!

Well ladies i would make this longer but i gotta go pick Cameron up from school and then out car shopping we go. Have a great WEEKEND. See you all at wiegh in!!

Nett-Homework sucks. STill working on it. The kids are all sick and tired..and so am I.

I did my appt with the weight loss clinic. I gained back some weight. Very disappointing. So i'm going to go in once a week for awhile to check in with the dietician to keep on top of things and keep me from slipping. See if the accountability will help out.

GOtta go. Tiana has a birthday party to go to. THe little stinker is the only one feeling normal now..except for her occasional cough.

Wink Positivity can make a difference

Hi All~ Be Strong! We can do what ever we set our minds to do!
I'm going to head all of my posts with the above to remind me of what we can do. Positivity can make a difference. I want to share the following as part of a healthier mind >

"Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter
and those who matter don't mind." -- Dr. Seuss

"No one can make you feel inferior without your consent" --Eleanor Roosevelt

Chris- Sorry about the homework, even sorrier about the weigh in . YOU CAN DO WHAT EVER YOU SET YOUR MIND TO DO! However if you're getting sick, maybe that is part of the weight right now (retaining water or just extra snot ). Have you switched out everyones toothbrushes or boiled them?

Alisha- I'll get the Windsor series again since I'm always ready for a change. Thanks .

Amanda/Cindy/Cara/Mel- Thinking about you and sending out the Slimmin' thoughts too!

Talking

Hi All~ Be Strong! We can do what ever we set our minds to do!

I'm going to pamper myself today! Since I've been doing pretty good about workouts and better about my healthy eating, I'm getting a free Mary Kay makeover and going shopping (to look at stuff that I want when I lose weight ) this afteroon. DH is watching Sylvia at home!
I have to go do an exercise video now in order to not feel like I'm cheating - just rewarding my efforts.

Cara/Alisha/Amanda/Cindy/Chris/Mel- Thinking about you all and sending out Slimmin' thoughts!
