And so it is 5:32... I am still at work, trying to finish up so I can head on home, make dinner and eat it before 7pm.
I am just on my 2nd bottle of water. I shall finish it before I get home.
Thank you for comments on my English, but again no biggie. I've been in US for over 12 years. I know it will sound terrible but I gained all my weight here. Putting on about 20-30 pounds each year. In my later posts I shall examine how, I think I have some of the answers. For now I will just tell you that my English has gotten a lot better over time, but it could be better, though I went to High School here and got my BS in Computer Science from the Ohio State Univ. just 5 years ago. I do enjoy talking, but never enjoyed writing as much as I do now. Perhaps I feel safe, or the need to say what's been on my chest for such a long time.
As far as mushroom hunting it is a pretty common activity in Russia. I would only recommend doing it with a few friends, and make sure not to get lost in the woods. If you have a bad sense of direction, take a compass but learn how to use it first! There these socities in US, namely 'fungus societies' look for these organizations, contact them and learn from them, where to pick and what mushrooms are ok. The 1st rule of thumb is always "if you are not sure about a mushroom do not pick it, do not touch". The 2nd rule, while out: strickly no drinks, no food, until you washed your hands 3 times in hot water with soap and changed clothing! Make sure to wash off other parts of the body if you touched them while being the forrest. The 3rd rule relates to recommended clothing. Cover all parts of the body in something light but water proof, as mushrooms do not grow on dry land. It is best to wear a hat or something to ver your hair including your ears and behind them!, to avoid any ticks. (optional: it is good to bring a change of clothing or at least socks and shoes, so you do not have to ride in wet ones) I hope anyone who is interested goes and enjoys mushroom hunts!
The no food after 9 pm, well its not 9pm yet but im sure im not going to eat any because im not even hungry or anything, i did really good on my diet today so why ruin it.
I drank 70 ounces of water, and still counting.
I got up at 8am and got my food ready for work. I followed the 6 week body makeover rules pretty well so im on my way.
Im going to make that a challenge too, follow my 6 week body makeover diet for 21 days, so day one is complete of that. I feel good today. I like my body because whenever i start a diet, it kind of motivates me because daily i fluctuate like 5 pounds. so on day one i already lost 5 pounds and im like HOORAH! I think this is a good diet and i hope i stick to it.
Well I recorded everything I ate today. I go for my first visit tomorrow morning at 9am at Curves. I'm off to bed. Have a HORRIBLE sinus headache. Later ladies.
Today's the 5th, so I must have just completed day 4 of both choc and wine challenges.
Since I'm working this week, I'm getting plenty of walking in. It's only a fast 15 min walk each way, and there's no temptation to drive since it would actually take longer and cost $$$ for parking. And there's no direct bus, so that's out too. And since I have to put drops in poor Lily-kitten's eyes every six hours, that means a very rushed trip home at lunch too. (It takes extra time now - she's onto me and hides when she sees the medication bottle. Sigh. Another 10 days of this, by which time she will hate me forever. )
Stage, for completing your introductory challenge in record time!
7:40 on the clock. I am home. Last 60 minutes were crazy. I rushed home, traffic was terrible. Picked up the mail, did not have time to change, made my salad, warmed up yesterday's dinner leftovers, and ate like crazy. At 2 minutes till 7, I was done. To say the truth, never again. I like the eating process, and gobbling down like I did was less than satisfying. So from now on, if I did not have time till 7pm, that's it, I will not rush... I will just skip dinner that day. Someone may disagree with me, and perhaps for some skipping dinner will keep them up at night, but me, nah I am lazy, I will not get out of bed to cook. Luckily I am good about now opening new items, i.e. I do have some cookies frozen and not, but if the bag is closed I will not open it. But for today I learned my lesson.
And now on to my report. It is actually brisk here in our warm sunny California. And as I had my last bottle of water to drink I've decied to warm it up. Interestingly, it tastes weird when I take a sip, but when it goes down it is just like tea nice and soothing.
Challenge A: Level 2 - DAY 3 (Dec 5) can be considered completed - 1/2 bottle left!!!!
Challenge C: Level 3 - Day 2 (Dec 4) was successfully completed. I think Day 3 (Dec 5) can be counted as well.
Once again I am pushing it down to the wire, but day 2 of walking is completed and in about three more gulps day 2 of water will be completed with 12 minutes to spare. (what can I say, I am a night owl). I feel like on this water kick all I do is pee every ten minutes! I just keep telling myself it's good for me and I'll start to like it eventually.
I didn't get started drinking my water until late in the day today, and I did notice that I felt parched by the time I started - funny how quickly one's body adjusts to the things one puts into it.
It snowed today here in Lexington, but I walked anyway and I even dragged the boyfriend with me. It was nice to see the trees all covered in snow and people's yards all pristine and white. and.....*chugchugchug* WATER DONE OHHHHYEAH!
And went running in pouring rain not to mess up my running challenge. It was quite unpleasant and I got totally drenched, but I did it.
I hope it doesn't rain tomorrow, I've been looking forward to my tennis lesson...
Day 18 - ran 2'30" uphill, walked some, ran 8'30", so total time ran is 11 minutes, which I decided was enough given the conditions.
Hey all. Just wanted to say that Day 8 is done! No time to post. Take care and keep up the good work. I will be posting regularly in time. Still in Tokyo. Leave tomorrow for Hong Kong. Will see how much time I can get on the terminals in the press center there. Don't have my own laptop. Later, all! swimming, welcome back!
I woke up early again today and got pilates in before breakfast. It feels nice. It snowed overnight here in St. Louis, so I was glad to be a little warm when I headed out the door to head to work. I feel good today.
Finished day 19 yesterday! Got on the scale this morning - still stuck at 140. Is another 10 pounds really too much to ask for? I would really be satisfied with 5 more pounds
We got about 1, maybe 1 1/2 inches of snow. The dogs are crazy about it! We couldn't keep the puppy in last night. She kept wanting to go out and play in the snow. Every thing was very bright and pristine this morning. This is when I like the snow. In a day or two, it will all be nasty grey slush. Yuck. Then i will be envying Shad and her 102 degree weather.
