I'm having a really quiet day. Shhhhhhhh... Don't tell anyone.

Angel-I've gotten some fabric samples from the furniture company so I think we are making progress with the dog proof furniture. I hope so anyway, because I had someone come and haul all my old beatup stuff out of hear on Friday. I"m now sitting on my dining room chairs in the living room, LOL. I do have one love seat that is still in pretty decent shape but I have to get someone to help me move it into the living room.


Curly-I love your new avatar too. I don't look like that however. I have straight hair.
I have to use a curling iron on it, LOL.

I got some good news today. I had rented a condo in New Orleans from a private individual and I hadn't heard from him since before the hurricane. He emailed me today to tell me that he was okay and in Houston. He doesn't know the status of his properties in New Orleans but is optimistic that they are salvagable. He also had a place in Gulfport, MS that was leveled.

I decided to donate to the charity through my church. It's called Episcopal Relief and Development in case anyone else is interested. They help with crisis situations all over the world. I think we made headlines last year when we sent food to the Sudan when people were starving and no one else seemed to be paying attention. They also had a place on their website to register to become a possible host to a displaced family. I have 2 empty bedrooms so I registered. We'll see what happens. Hi PICS - another quick check in for me. Spent the majority of the day studying. School officially starts for me next Saturday.. yes a full week at work and then I have school from 9-4 on Saturday and 9-12 on Sunday.. no rest for this gal !!

I am happy to report that I had my spooktacular WI this morning and i am down another 1.0... so 3.5 spooked away... 21.5 to go !

Curly, Angel, and Mom - congrats on being big losers !!

Petra - I am glad that things worked out with your plane ticket, and so kind of you to donate the money.

Hotcup - sounds like you had an enjoyable Sunday. And you cooked.. go girl !!

I think I am going to make myself a and see what Dr. Phil is up to. Have a wonderful evening and I will try to check in tomorrow from work.

Ok..fence update. LOL My bro in law and dh only got 6 poles in the ground and concreted in. They were whipped. I dug 4 more holes and told them..since the post have to be sleeved in the pvc and that is a 2 man job..we shoud do that. They had to be drilled and cut too. I took the 4 wheeler around and got all the posts I took to the holes yesterday..ORGANIZATION should of been the keyword. LOL They needed a women to do that. Anyway..I lifted 4x4x8 poles all day and the pvc sleeves. My arms are a little sore and my hands are killing me but the exercise was great. My sis in law made taco salad. WE worked hard this weekend but had a great time. We were all tired. LOL My sis in laws house will never be the same. M and her cousin had a blast. We took the 4 wheeler around the yard a millon times. I had one girl on the front and one on the back...I figured out the gears and we could go pretty fast. LOL All in all a great time. Tomorrow no gym but I am mowing the lawn. Almost a bigger workout. Wednesday and Friday are gym days. THursday I will have to figure out something.

Well..I am heading to bed..I am exhausted.

Good Day All!! I'm back to work after the 3-day weekend. I went fishing yesterday and caught a whopping 4-inch baby walleye If felt like it was 30 when I was reeling it in, but it was attached to about 3 pounds of seaweed!!!

Update, jumped on the scale yesterday morning, and drum roll please -
I lost 4 pounds!!! Motivation, exercise, water, and better food choices..YEE HAW!!!!

howdy ya'll.. sorry I havent checked in, in a couple of days.. but I just thought i should tell you about this great snack i found.. ok.. don't laugh at me.. ha ha ha.. they are called Gerber Graduates "Banana Cereal Snackin' Squares".. they are for babies.. but are so yummy.. and a serving of 12 has 80 calories and 1g of fat.. and in my opinion are way yummy.. they crave my sweet tooth and taste like a banana pie crust mixture.. hope ya'll have a great day.. I'll check in later but I got to go for now because I'm supposed to be working..

I am up and going. LOL My burn turned into a nice tan. I cheated and hopped on my home scale this morning. I am up???? I decided to keep doing what I am doing with the exercise. I know I didn't get enough water this weekend. My body told me that last night and I drank a big glass. I had a couple of diet pops which I normally don't do and a few glasses of ice tea. I did keep away from the beer. Good NSV. LOL I think that is what dh's and bro in laws problem was. LOL I am not stressing about my weight this week. I know I am on program and I know I am getting plenty of exercise in. I am doing more right things than wrong things. I didn't journal this weekend..I will jump back on the journaling today and make darn sure I get all my water in and all my veggies/fruit in. I wish I could find my measuring tape. I sew and have several but M loves to play with them and my sewing room is a mess.... it also is her play room. My clothes are looser....so I know I have lost inches. I put on a pair of jammie shorts that have snoopy on them and they started out tight...now they are baggy and almost falling off.

I have mixed it up as far as exercise. I really have been working on the weights a lot the last 2 weeks. 60 minutes of cardio and 20-30 minutes of weights when I go to the gym. I am averaging 3 times a week. Then you add my fence building skills..my arms got a great workout and I was moving and moving well.

I have reflected on the last 4 months of being OP and thought of all I have accomplished. 40 lbs gone! My energy level is so high. I sleep better and feel more refreshed in the morning. I can run up and down the stairs at the house without feeling winded. Did that 4 times already this morning. I can ride for miles with M on a bike and run around the playground with her. I am not the fattest mom in kindergarten. I can wear clothes and feel comfortable that I couldn't get into 4 months ago. I think about the next 40lbs and what I can accomplish by then. I am excited!! I have "met" some wonderful people online going through the same struggles. What more could a person ask for?

Right now my body is going through a phase, I am convienced. I want to be in onderland so bad...that will be a big milestone for me. One I plan on celebrating to the max..without food of course. LOL SO I am keeping my eye on the prize and go from there.

Curly: I love Dance Ur pants off. It is my favorite RS tape. I love the music and the moves. So much energy.

L2L: WOW 4lbs..Great!!! Keep up the great work!!!!!!!

Dee: not my choice in food but if it works...go for it. LOL Some of the baby food is good. I remember when M was in the baby food stage..I tasted a few of them.

I think these are the total loses for the Halloween Challenge. I didn't get Turtles and Petra's weight loss this week. If I am wrong...I will update tonight. LOL This was harder than I thought to keep track of. Great going to all the losers this week!!!! I think I am the only one that didn't lose..dang it.. I am hoping for a good loss next week.

Lisa-I lost 1 lb last week, so I am up to 3 lbs for the challenge.

Glad to see everyone doing so well. This is the first day of my vacation. I rearranged some furniture in my now very empty living room. I still need to do more but that will have to wait for another day. It involves moving a bookshelf which means unpacking books. I also talked to the man at the dogproof furniture company. There are some more fabric samples that are supposed to be on the way and he is checking on the durability of one of the fabrics I have and like. Hopefully I'll be able to get this ordered soon because I would like to have it by Christmas.

In watching the news this morning, I must admit that I am no longer convinced that the government's lack of response to this crisis was due to racism. I think it was just plain incompetence which doesn't make me feel much better but at least that is more "fixable."

my my my...it sure has been busy around here!! So nice to see lots of posts.

Today was the start of the new schedule at the gym I go to and what a great class I had!!! This teacher is sooo motivating, she is awesome!!! It was a kickboxing class and I've never taken it before but I thought that it was time to make a serious committment to the gym and not just go for a walk on the treadmill. The time flew by and the sweat poured off!!! I was actually doing jabs and hooks and roundhouse's. I felt like I could take on the world. WHAT A GREAT FEELING!!! Then after the 1 hr class, she also taught a cardio workout....so I stayed for that also. THEN I DID MY TREADMILL!!! 2 hours just flew by!!! I wish she taught more but its just the one class per week. I will definitely not miss her.

Lisa.....Don't get down on yourself if the scale doesn't move. You are doing so well and have done a great job!!!! 40 lbs is AWESOME!!! And think of the healthy habits you've incorporated into your lifestyle. Keep it up!!!

Deerod......Baby biscuits eh? What ever works for you. I have food a new snack that stops the sweet tooth. Break up into small pieces a Nature's Valley granola bar, add half cup of unsweetened applesauce and cinnamon. Microwave for 1 minute on high. YUMMMM....and only 3-4 pts. Tastes like apple crisp!!!

Tea......Nice to see you. Good job on cracking out the books for school.

oooo that class sounds like a lot of fun! i ordered a tai bo workout tape but it probably wont be here for a few months..

sigh the other guy just went to work for the army corps of engineers.. the week before Katrina hit so i am not sure if he is in LA or not cuz he has been so busy i havent heard from him... but that has happened before that he gets so focused on work that he will call and say "did u think i fell off the earth??"

its been a very very long 3 weeks!

Good Morning!!!

I am in a funk. Yesterday was not a good OP day for me. I did get my exercise in but why did I eat what I ate last night?? My tummy paid for it last night and this morning. I feel like a 100lb rock in my tummy. I mowed the lawn last night and planning on going to work out tonight while M is at gymnastics.

Will check back in later today after I get to work. Running late this morning.
