Hey everyone, well yesterday was ok eating wise, no excersise. I woke up this morning and just wanted to start yellling at people. I think I wake up in a bad mood becaus I havn't been working out. Or maybe its just all the chaos right now. Either way, I have to figure out a way to get over it, its no good to start the day in a really bad mood.
Curly, Its funny how eveyone wishes they were built different. I'm the opposite of you and I always envy the ladies with smaller hips and legs because they can fit into pants which I can't but myupper body is so little. ITs like I have two different bodys connected at the waist. And the sad thing for me is people will say oh you are losing weight, but you'll never lose those hips, thanks a lot! Lisa, I hope the flu is gone for good. keep your self hydrated. Hotcup, that is so goofy about the vet, you think they would have at least been up front withyou about whythey were keeping your cat. hmmm people are weird. Have a good week, its sounds like a doosey. Got to run to a meeting, I'll talk to you all later. Jenie |
Hi everyone. I'm still alive. I haven't been exercising much either and I need to get back to it. Turtle-I don't mean to sound like I'm lecturing here but, success in losing weight is a big part psychological. After you get over that hurtle, it is mostly about following a good eating program faithfully. You will have to change the way you eat FOREVER. Exercise is a very small piece of this puzzle. If you are hoping that you can eat whatever you want and just exercise to make up for it, it won't work unless you can literally spend all day in the gym. I think everyone on this thread could vouch for that.
I finally completed my Internal Medicine module. It was due by Friday. They score it immediately so I know I passed. YEAH! Only 4 more to go. I also ordered my dog proof furniture over the weekend. I'm hoping to have that by Christmas. I certainly hope I have a better week than last week. That was awful! It seems to be starting a little better. |
Just letting you all know that I am still kicking !! Hope you are all doing well and staying out of trouble ;) Have a great day and talk to you again soon. Teri |
Good Afternoon!!
Ok...we all need to get on the exercise bandwagon..... a few of us fell off and bumped our head. I am going to challenge myself to exercise 3 days at the gym and 1 other exercise... for a total of 4 by Saturday. We all need to get up and get moving. Turtle: Petra is right... Losing weight is mental! You can do this!!! Pick one program and stick with it for a whole month...I think you will be surprised. Petra: Glad you got the tests done... WOW on the furniture..it will be there by Christmas. I have your last week...horrible start to this week..but hopefully it will be better for us both. Jennie: Glad you had a nice bday party for your son. Kids do that... I think it is over excitement. Curly: I want less "girls"...much to dh's dismay. I have gone down several bra sizes but I would love to be flat chested..nahhh..probably won't happen..same with my thights..I have thunder thighs even when I was thin. Yea Angel on your loss!! You will be in onderland in no time. I am still pushing for Halloween. Ok..will check back later.] Lisa |
:coach: I CHALLENGE YOU LISA!!!
How's that? LOL.... :crossed: yes, I promise to do the same. Actually today was the killer kickboxing class (1hr) and then a cardio core class (30min) then I walked 30 min on the treadmill and? topped it off with 10 min on the eliptical. I was hoping for more on the eliptrical, but its been awhile and 10 min was all I could do!! geez, I used to be able to do almost 45 minutes a few years back. I'll get there though...one thing at a time. I felt really good when I left. I usually go Tues-Friday for classes/treadmill and then just treadmill on Saturdays as I don't like the class teacher. YEAH!!! GO LISA GO!!! :cheer: Petra....Congratulations on finishing your medicine module!!! :bravo: |
Hi! Im a new member here @ 3FC and it seems to me that, well, WOW, what a nice group. Already I'm feeling some inspiration and mental support. Looks like some awesome friendships have started here. Reading your posts has been fun and informative too... especially to see life isn't all about food and diets, etc.
Lisa_WY: Thanks for steering me to PIC. CurleyLocks: I used to do the Lukemia Walk the Night when I was in Seattle. 3 miles, lots of comraderie and lots of fun too... wish there were something like that where I live now. So, thanks for being here ladies! |
Iwmom,
Welcome to PIC. We are so glad you decided to join us! We post at least once a day...sometimes more! Send me a private message and I will give you my email in case you need anything. Lisa Wyoming |
Welcome to our group Iwmom!!!
You're right, we are a nice group of ladies....(even if I do say so myself) What sort of plan are you going to follow? Some of us are low carb, south beach and weight watchers. Jump in and post anytime, ask questions or just post to say hi. I would say excercise and food portions are key to everyone here regardless to the food plan we are doing. So nice to meet you, you've taken the first step!! |
Ahhh..my post from this morning got lost in cyber space..I will check in later with everyone. I have a busy morning at work!!

Humpity Humpity Hump Day
Four more days until vacation! :beach: Well, it won't be a relaxing vacation, but six days off work SHOULD be considered a vacation. We'll call it a functional/working vacation. Since we're having a three day yard sale, they'll plenty of work, but also time for fun (camping, boating?)
I'm still sort of coasting betwen bursts of motivation. Wondering if South Beach is worth ANOTHER try and trying to make myself exercise before I actually start gaining. I'm hoping the exercise gods smile upon me and I find myself with a packed gym bag and the motivation to hit the walking track after work tonight. That'll mean packing my police radio, clothes, MP3 Player, etc. But one never knows. It could happen.  :cp: :bb: :stress: :dancer: :headache:  Petra angel-eyes curlylocks Jennie934 Lisa WY MomX3 TeaElleBee A good day to you. Best of luck on your journey and how the heck are ya? iwmonn Jackie56808 Welcome and howdy do? |
Come on Hotcup....Pack that bag!!! Its just that reason, that I always have mine packed already. No excuses, I just grab it and I'm out the door to the bus stop and then off to the gym. Its funny....I don't even think about what to wear when I get up anymore, I just dress in my workout gear. hmm, I just thought about it.....thats a great new habit. How's your sister these days? the excercise ****? I would also be looking forward to your 6 days off and all the extra moulah$$ you'll be making from the yard sale. YEAH!!! Time to go shopping!!!
LIsa......The days are clicking by.....Did you get in your workout last night? Hope so!! |
thank you for the welcome!
I have no clue what plan i'll be following. At the moment i'm watching my carbs, because I'm also diabetic and that's what they tell me to do. (I've been diabetic for 10 years or so but have more or less ignored the fact most the time) However 2 days ago I realized that lo carb doesn't mean lo cal etc so now i'm watching carbs, fat, calories lol.... i'll see my nutritionalist next week and hopefully get more insight. Also, I've not had a chip, potato, cookie, candybar, pastry since sept 1st. That's got to be good for something, right? I'm thinking exercise will be my problem. No, I KNOW exercise will be my issue lol. There really is no place safe to walk around here (windy country roads and cars doing 70'ish), and the only gym in the area is financially out of my reach. I'll def be checking into options. Any ideas for a home program doable after a tough day on my feet? yikes I ramble on! So, thanks again all, and hope you all have a super day!!! |
Welcome Iwmonn. Not that I'm an expert on this but maybe a pilates video. I've been to a pilates class and we spent most of the class on the floor. Great abs workout. I don't think you need much equipment either. I'm planning to get my butt to the gym tonight one way or another. It's been a problem for me lately too. Not sure if I'll go to yoga class or just do my own thing.
|
Sorry I have not been around much. I think I have been getting overwhelmed with losing weight. I am still doing really great on my eating. I have been a little lax with my exercise. I did'nt work out on Fri. or Sat. Then on Monday I got sick so I did'nt work out then. Yesterday I went to curves but I don't know if I will get anything in today. Oh well!!
Iwmonn - Welcome to the group. You should try Leslie Sansone Walk Away the Pounds. It's not hard and you don't need much room. Everyone else seems to be doing okay. I guess I am not the only one having a hard time right now. :coach: We must all get back on track or I will :tantrum:. Just kidding my friends. Remember Halloween is just around the corner. ;) |
Howdy All,
Had a nice post this morning and for some reason it went into cyber poof! Angel: I worked out at home last night. Target had the tubes on clerance so I bought them and worked on that and my ball last night for about 20 minutes. Light exercise but you need that too..so I will count it as my 1 AP and call it good. SO I will be 2/2 for my exercise challenge. LOL Iwmonn: I bought some Richard Simmons videos to get me through winter. I know I can't go to the Y everynight and they give me just enough workout to make it work. I also bought a ball and a toning ban... Exercise doesn't have to be only in the gym sometimes I run around with my 5 year old daughter and she gives me the best workout playing follow the leader with her. Whatever you chose make it something you enjoy. Momx3: not really struggling just chugging along. Not sure this week I will lose or not..I am hoping for my 1-2lbs and get back on track. I have 6 more WI before Halloween and 16lbs to lose. I will be close dang it. LOL Petra: I am leaving work in 30 minutes and going to the Y...I WILL work out, I WILL enjoy it. LOL I need to get rid of some stress and the best way is to work it out. LOL I am planning on doing the ellipitical for 45 minutes..then I have to rush to get M from gymnastics..then I am making breakfast for dinner. LOL I have been planning my meals to keep me within my WW points. So far it has been working out for me. Turtle: I have shoes that I only wear to the gym... and I keep a change of clothes to work out in ...in my bag in the car...I don't have to think about it. LOL I have a towel, change of underclothes, and everything else I need and it is handy.... Just put that bag in the car and go girl. TEB: How are you girl? Curly: WHere are you today? Ok...will check back in later. Lisa |
Howdy-Do Ladies!!!
well, i'm about to go to bed. I've been reading PIC posts from post #1. I've only gotten to page 14 so far hehehe. But I've got to get up early to start my work week. I have to open the store @ 7:30am! It's taken me a couple years to actually get used to being a morning person, but now I really enjoy it. I admit tho, I don't get up one minute earlier than I have to! lol. I had a good day, food-wise. I believe all good choices. My days off are always easier than work days. Exercise, however did not happen  I know sooner or later I'm going to have to do it. I've gotten several suggestions of tapes to try, so I may do that. I also have a big ball, but no clue as to what I should do with it lol... if only I hadn't sold my treadmill grrrrrr.... So everyone have a wonderful day and Power to all the Partners!! |
Good Morning to all my PIC Buddies!!!
The sun is shinning and fall is in the air!!! Angel: I need a kick in the butt.. I didn't go to the gym as planned last night. I know this excuse is horrible but I forgot my headphones. I can't do the gym without them. I know a poor excuse but they are part of my rountine. There is no music or sound in the gym and I can't take the silence. So I skipped out on it and then watched Lost last night and vegged. I normally don't watch much TV but it was nice for a change. So kick me in the rear. Iwmonn: I sold my treadmill too. During the I don't care about my weight years. I bought it at a garage sale and only paid about 5.00 for it. It was a nice one too. I sold it for $50.00 so I did make money on it. LOL I will get another one or an ellipitical. I am keeping my eye out. Well...hope everyone has an OP day!!! Check in today. L2L: Where are you??? Turtle: Update on Squeak? Petra: Did they give you a delivery date on the furniture? Momx3: How is the program going? TEB: Are you unburried yet? Curly: How are you doing? Inquiring or nosey minds want to know. Lisa Wyoming |
Hi guys!!

I had a really great day off!! went in to work out @ 9 am then after met a friend and we went rowing for @ 3 hrs... had lunch... and then he had a meeting so i went home and fell asleep on the sofa for @ 2 hrs.. Can you smell the week end?
Oh the week end is so close. You can almost see it from here. The good news is that I finally got my massive Turtle butt to the walking track last night. The bad news is, there was another weirdo (besides me) there. He said something to me in another language and then I swear, he dispappeared. He was there one second, and then on my next lap, *POOF* he was gone :o I kept watching over my shoulder, but he must have left.
The other bad news is that I only managed about a mile and a half. I know that's nothing to sneeze at, but when I went to all the trouble to change at work, carrying all that crap with me, it seemed like such a waste to NOT walk further. It was actually very cool out. I was glad I wore my terry cloth jacket, and I had the hood up, (AND my Barenaked ball cap) and found myself scrunching the sleeves down around my fingers. And I didn't even put my headphones on until I was halfway through, (mostly because I was watching for the mystery man to reappear). We're missing Dee & Looking2lose. Where are you two? To everyone else Petra, angel-eyes, curlylocks, Jennie934, Lisa WY, TeaElleBee, MomX3, Jackie56808 and Iwmonn, HOWDY. Hang in there baby, the week end is well on it's way. It's gorgeous here! It's crisp and fall is in the air. Deep breath in through your nose. Ahhhh PS Squeak is home, she's readjusting to life in the turtle cave. She sleeps a lot and I have two medicines I have to give her daily. I'm worried she'll get sick again as soon as the meds are done, but I'm trying to stay positive. I'm trying to get a great picture of her to post. Thanks for all your care anc concern for her. She's a beautiful cat. |
well miss Turtle thats 1 1/2 miles more than the day before!!!!! :cheer:
and thats all that counts.... Just concentrate on Today and do a lil more! |
Happy Autumn!!!
Hi everyone, and welcome to ~iwmonn~
You are all doing FANTASTIC!! :smug: :smug: I'm okay, thank you for thinking of me. I supposed that I am in super-huge trouble??? :?: I am sorry, will you all forgive me? My grandfather has been ill, and my father fell down their staircase and his back is a mess. I bought a brand new computer so I hopefully can start working in-home next month (instead of being a cube farmer). I am keeping my fingers crossed. Work has been full of mandatory overtime, so I have been working 10 to 12 hour days, and my partner has been working 12-hour days installing and finishing the hardwood floors, etc., for a big showcase of homes this coming weekend; and she & I are trying to clean out the spare room at home and make it an office (everything and anything when we combined houses that we weren't sure what to do with was in there... :( But, I found the guest bed!! Yes, there is actually a queen-sized bed in there...found it after I moved the boxes, and the piles of clothes that don't fit me anymore (too small, too big, etc....and the diamond earring I lost last winter she gave me for my birthday....that was truly a hallelujah moment. Now she is inspired to 'spring clean everything to find all the other things i have misplaced. hee hee  ) We are getting there. Our basement wall cracked because tree roots are pushing on it, so every time it rains, I have to get out the waders!! ;) Other than that, I am EXACTLY the same weight. Doesn't go up, doesn't go down. I still eat really good, and I have been exercising every day with Richard in the morning, Leslie Sansone in the afternoon on my break, and then stretching pilates before bed (helps me relax and get some sleep). I need to lower my carb intake. I basically am living on Ramen noodles, soup in a cup, and fruit & veggies 'cuz their quick and I feel like I have no time!! Hopefully this will be the last 'crazy' week :tired: :stars: Take care of all of you, and I will read some more during my lunch to catch up. Love & Hugs, L2L |
Howdy Again:
Curly: Congrats on the loss..YIPPEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry about the storms.. WE had rain yesterday which is unusal in WYoming today is gloomy for the first day of fall..hope that is not what is to come. L2L: Hope things settle down for you. Have fun spring cleaning..if we both would of done that in the spring..we wouldn't have to worry about it now. LOL I am doing the same..Spending my weekend getting some projects done for winter. Been helping bro in law with fence but the next 2 weeks are ours. I am glad you posted..we missed you!!!! Turtle: Glad squeak is home. Congrats on walking..wish I could of said the same. I really wanted to get to the gym yesterday.... but tonight is my crazy night anyway..but I am going to do Richard or something to get my butt up. I will promise myself to do that. Ok..did some soul searching. I really need to quit smoking. Told dh I wanted it done. We could pay off our bills earlier and stop spending so much money lighting up.(currently about 60-90 a week) I can do it without him..I am losing weight mainly without him..he is losing by default..maybe that will work with smoking!!! I thought about doing it when I hit onderland but you know what..nothing like today..isn't that what we say about losing weight? I am really thinking about today being my last day. I don't want to overeat to make up for it but I think what I will do is when I really really want one..I will drink a bottle of water first. That is what I did last time I was on WW and quit smoking. IT worked and I quit for a year..blame dh for me starting again. LOL Last night M said to me..mommy when are you going to quit.. It really made me think. I needed her to say that to me. SHe will have a skinny/non smoking mom if it kills me. She deserves that. Ok..off my soap box and back to work. .. Dee..we miss you too!! Post soon and often!! Lisa Wyoming |
Lisa - I hear you loud & clear. I need to quit myself. My partner and I both smoke, and it is about $70 a week. That is 280 a month...would pay our utilities!!! :fr:
Guess what????? I GOT MY FLOWERS BACK!!! 2 OF THEM YAHOO. Sorry, I'm done shouting now. :cloud9: TTYS. Hugs. L2L |
Wow...there's been a lot of movin' and shakin' going on!!!! :cb: :cb: I just got back from the gym from a great iso-ball class. geez, I'm finding out that there's something under all that flab!! I have really noticed a huge difference already in my upper arms/chest area and my legs. Can't wait to find the hip bone next!!! :D I have my mouth watering at the moment, with cooking lunch. I am making a curried carrot soup. YUM YUM,and only 1 pt per cup. I can't wait. Well, have a super duper day my PIC'S!!! Ds is almost off on a 3 week school cycle break, so like it or not, he'll be coming to the gym tommorow!! I think he'll be fine with his gameboy,...its just the babysitting room usually has toddlers. haha...I'm so cruel.
Curly....Way to go!!! :cp: I knew you could do it. Happy weight loss day. L2L.....hehe...there is more to life than RAMEN NOODLES girl!!! :nono: There's a heck of a lot of sodium in thar packages. It might be better to cook noodles and and plain ol spag. sauce to them. Just a thought. I hope your father is on the mend. That fall sounded nasty. Good job on finding the guest bed and your diamond earring!!! Who knows what else you'll find. Lisa....Your little water trick sounds like it might work. My dh quit almost 3 months ago now, and he's got no regrets. It took awhile for the snack munchies to calm down but now? he just trys to ignore the usual triggers...a coffee and a smoke. This has also cut down his caffeine addiction!!! Good luck and one day at a time my friend!!! oh yeah..... :coach: consider this a BOOT IN THE BUTT!!! Hotcup.....Glad you managed your walk with your weirdo last night. That would have freaked me out as well, considering the time of night (morning) that you walk. YEAH...SQUEAK IS HOME!!! Try not to think about the vet bill but her getting well. |
shhhhhhhhhhhhh dont say a word.... those 4 lbs could sneak back .. like before! even tho i never went off program!
|
Hi again to everyone! And congrats on all the good things happening. ;) I'm not saying a word curlylocks but I'm thinking a really loud WooHoooo lol....
My boss is going to loan me a beginning pilates tape and I've started to set up a little space for myself to exercise out in the cabin. (actually it's an old potting shed on our property that my hubby has insulated, painted and carpeted. It's quite nice.) I don't have a TV out there so I'll have to just use my laptop to watch and pilate along with the video. I'd like to get a good aerobics dvd too I think. I'm really feeling like I can get into this now. THANK YOU LADIES!!!! I was thiisssssssss close to stopping at my dr's yesterday just to ask if I could use their scale but decided to go ahead and wait the week until my appt. Ya know, if I'd been exercising all this time since I've started watching what I'm eating I think I'd be a lot furthur along than I am. Not to say that I don't think I'm making progress cuz I really feel like I am. Exercize and water... I always forget my water. I'm never in the same place at work for any length of time and forever losing my water or coffe cup lol... maybe i should just get one of those water things that bikers have. Strap it on and stick the straw in my mouth??? heheheh.. You know, I don't think anyone would even think it was weird. :dizzy: Lisa: I quit the end of March and haven't had a look back. I did have a really tough day a few weeks ago and was running around work looking for a smoke. The woman who owns the restaurant next door shoved a piece of Big Red into my mouth and it helped a lot... so get some gum hehe.. You can do it!!! BTW, my hubby is still smoking like a freakin chimney. :censored: grrrrrrrrrr. L2L: I'm glad to finally meet you! Since reading your very first post here I felt like I've known you for a long time. Actually your sense of humor reminds me of a good friend of mine that I've lost track of. I'm thinkin' I need to find her again :comp: . Angel eyes: I'd love to hear more about this iso ball class. Is it with one of the big balls for stableization? I have one of those but no clue what to do with it. |
iwmonn.....yup, you got it. I guess iso is the company that makes alot of them because thats whats on the balls at the gym I go to and the one I have at home. The class that I go to is 1 hour and we do everything on that ball !!! We do I begin? We do situps of course on it, but we also do push ups on it. (the closer the ball is to your tummy while doing a push up is the easy version vs having the ball at your ankles). We do walking lunges while holding the ball and lifting it overhead or side to side. We lie on our sides and put the ball between our ankles and either squeeze our ankle/legs together or slightly lift our legs and ball off the ground. We lie on our backs and put our bottoms and back of our legs in a 'chair' position and gripping the ball with our calves, lift it off the ground....and then add a abdominal crunch while lifting. I could go on and on and on :blah: ......maybe stop by a sports store to check a ball out and look inside the box for the fitness instructions. Or a book store might have a book on excercises.
Sorry iwmonn....I think my previous post addressed you as 'iwmomm'...SORRY!!! :sorry: |
Don't quit when the tide is lowest
For it's just about to turn. Don't quit your doubts and questions, For there's something you may learn. Don't quit when the night is darkest. For it's just a while until dawn. Don't quit when you've run the farthest, For the race is almost won. Don't quit when the hill is steepest. For your goal is almost nigh. Don't quit, for you're not a failure Until you fail to try. |
Good Morning All,
Today is a beautiful day!!! Ok... I have decided that Sunday will be my final quit day. Dh is in with me BUT I hate to say this...he won't quit.I know him well enough. I probably should just do it now but I want to plan to be non smoking.I hope that makes sense. I did cut down yesterday ALOT and will continue to do so until Sunday morning and that is it!!! DH hasn't bought into the total "lifestyle" change. I can't worry about what he will do or not do..I only can change myself. He has loss weight by default about 15lbs so that is great but I know he will have a tough time giving up the smokes. I am thinking about getting him a bike for Christmas so next summer he can bike with M and me. I want to do this for Mallissa.... just like losing the weight. I KNOW I can do it. With everything we have been through... M deserves a mom who is going to be around a long long time. I have an exercise ball too. Begged for one for my bday... It is lonely sitting upstairs and M loves to play on it. She practices her back handsprings on it. LOL I have used it a few times and dh teases me about buying it and not using it. I got instructions with it but I think you can also look up the instructions on the web somewhere. I am sure someone has a website about it. Angel: I am going to the gym today if it kills me. I need to rid myself some stress from work for my weekend. THis weekend we are cleaning out our house. I am probably going to clean my carpets and furniture too. I want to get ready for fall. The dust bunnies need to find a new home. LOL My goal is to finish organizing my clothing in the basement, totally strip my bedroom and wash the curtins, clean from under the bed, put up plastic on the windows for winter, close the storm windows, and scrub the bathroom. Then I will work on the living room. Iwonn: Any movement is good movement. Make up your own exercises with the ball. Put on some loud music and just do it. LOL THis site has some great suggestions on the different programs to help you lose weight. L2L: Always glad to see you post. HOpe your dad is doing better and life gets back to normal. Fall cleaning is fun. LOL THink of all the AP's you get. LOL Also busy times makes you not smoke. I read another site on quitting smoking yesterday and the best way is to just do it..don't cut down do cold turkey. They said it takes about 2 weeks to get it out of your system. I know I can do it. Next week will be more normal than this week and I will have more time to exercise. Curly: YOu will be fine and celebrate your sucess. I was thinking today... I am 17lbs away from onderland and my goal for Halloween is still in sight. What I need from everyone is to post how much they have loss for the Halloween challenge. I haven't been very good about keeping track of it. I have loss 9lbs toward my goal and still have 17lbs left. I know we can do it. Look how far most of us have came. TEB, Momx3, Petra, Deerod, WHere are you?? Post to give us an update. We want to know!!! We are here for you. Hugs and Blessings, Lisa Wyoming |
Hi Ladies,
what a crazy week for me. I moved on Wednesday, then yesterday, my clothes were in this fashion show I had all the clothes done for the models but I decided to make this jumpsuit for my self and applique on it my clothing company name. hmmm....well that took me forever. And I couldn't get the pants right, I didn't even have a full length mirror to look in so I just cut the pants off and had it as a long shirt over pants. today I went to see if my parents needed help moving and I droped a sewing machine across my knuckles, they are starting to swell and I can't type to much with the right hand. can you say pain in my a** I mean hand. So I'm temporarily at my sisters and she has not even unpacked a glass, but the good thing is she is about 1/2 mile from the park I like to jog in so I'm hopeing to get some good jogs in while I"m up there. I went yesterday. On sunday I'm doing a 5k i'm going with some WW friends who don't jog so I'm just going to walk it with them. It should be fun. talk to you all soon, Jennie |
Happy Friday to you all (Thursday for me)
I did two miles on the track last night. No striped, stinky kitties, no fog, no disappearing soccer players, but no tunes! My MP3 Player said "no tracks" when I attempted to play my mix of pop, rock and metal. But I still did two miles at the quickest pace I could stand. I'm sore this morning, but it's probably from this cold, damp house. I'm going to roll around on my Shiatsu ball and try to work out the kinks. No track tonight, I have to work an extra long shift tomorrow for the home ball game (going in extra early), but I'm hoping I can make up for it today. It's rainy, cold and even thundering today.
I work alone tonight and will happily check in on you chicks then. TTFN Gotta move it! |
well i have my spooktacular ticker... looks like 8 lbs...
I dont think there is any way i will make it to my goal but i will be happy if i make it to the 30's |
Hello one and all.. it is I .. TLB !!
I took the day off to day to spend a few hours with hubby and to get caught up on some school work. I have been doing pretty well at leaving work on time, but a few deadlines forced me stay one night and now I am a bit behind on school work. I have school this weekend again, so no rest for this wicked PIC  Food wise..hmm.. I don't know. I am trying my best to eat healthy but sometimes it just ain't working. I have so much on the go right now that it is hard to find the time for me. So I will continue to eat right, but if the weight don't come off..then so be it... as long as I don't gain then I will be happy. I am still finding a few moments in the day to log on and see how you are all doing.. I certainly miss chatting regularly with you all and once I get into the groove of things, hopefully I will have a few more moments in the day to sneak in a PIC fix. So until next time.. keep on keeping on !! Take care Teri |
Hi Ladies. I am so sorry that I have not been around. I am still sick and although I have been stayiing OP with my eating I have still been lax with the exercise. I weighed this morning and I did not lose this week. I believe this is the first time I have not lost but I am not stressed. I can't exercise if I can't breath.
Curly - congrats on the loss. I said that in a whisper. TLB - When is life going to slow down for you girlie? Hotcup - I am glad Squeak is feeling better. Please, please be careful on your walks. There are way to many freaks out there. Jennie - Yeah!! Jogging!! That will whip you into shape in no time. Lisa - I really hope you make it on the no smoking thing. I know it is one of the hardest things to do but you will feel so much better. Angel - Awww poor ds but momma's got to get her exercise in Right? Iwmonn - Get that water in. It is so important. I have a water bottle that goes everywhere with me when I am at home. Me and the baby share it. L2L - Sorry so to see so many bad things going on right now. I hope things get better for you real soon. Petra - I hope all is well with you. TTYL |
Jennie....oh ah....a fashion show!!! So you are a designer then? You must be very talented, I hope you get alot of sales off of your show. I used to be a buyer for a ladies boutique and participated in alot of fashion shows and photo shoots. I LOVE the hectic-ness of it all, hard work but a big payoff!!! I also miss going to market for the new season launch!!!
TLB.....Thanks for the check in. You are so busy, you must be writing those papers/assignments in your sleep!!! Working fulltime and then school on the weekends....if that doesn't keep you hopping!!! Curly.....hey? 8 lbs is EIGHT POUNDS!!! Good job, slow and steady is my motto. Didn't it feel good to get those new medium pants? haha...IN YOUR FACE....THESE ARE TOO BIG!!! Hotcup......WOOHOO...You did it!!! 2 miles is nothing to sneeze at. Great job. Pop back on your shift tonight and let us know how your day went. Lisa.....whoa GIRL....that is alot of serious cleaning!!! You are going to rack up some good AP's for sure. Wanna come to my house? Yesterday was a good cleaning day for me also. I picked up some febreeze for fabric and sprayed my loveseat and sofa....mmmm, sure smellls alot better than skunky ol' dog!! Really nice. Well its first day of cycle break and my 7 yo son who normally sleeps a good 11-12 hours.....WAS UP AT THE CRACK OF DAWN!!! Whats up with that? :yikes: hehe...We've made 6 pictures for Dad, a double batch of 1pt banana muffins, 2 hours of lego and now we're going to head out for a walk before the rain starts. ALL BEFORE 11 AM !!!! What am I going to do for 3 three weeks? LOL....actually I was going to bring him to the gym but we got so into those pictures, we forgot about the time. And the best part? no tv yet. YEAH... I hate vegging in front of the tv with cartoon network. Have a great day everyone. tc |
Hi everyone. Yes, I'm still alive. I've been freakin over this second hurricane again. Looks like beloved New Orleans is flooded again.
Lisa-quitting smoking is the single best thing you can do for your health. Just do it! I have been a little better about the exercise lately. I dragged myself to the gym on Wed. night and did a half hearted work out. This morning I didn't have to be to work until 10 so I went in and did a good one. I'm planning to go to power yoga tomorrow and maybe even stay and walk on the treadmill afterward. I wish I were a morning person. It would be so much easier if I could just do it in the morning and get it over with but I have to be at work at 8 most of the time which would mean I'd have to be in the gym at about 5 and I can't imagine that. Turtle-glad the kittie is home. I took Kobe to the vet today for his yearly check up. He is getting a work up for Cushing's because he drinks water like a fish. I hope he doesn't have it. He's already had 3 bowls of water today. I had to get a urine sample--that was interesting. |
Hi again to everyone! Was a gorgeous day here on the coast. Sunshine, a little crispy and no fog lol. Actually, coming from Seattle I think these Californians are just a bit whiney about their weather heheh... It was a great day for me. I got some projects done at work. I still didn't do too well on my water, lost that dumb bottle again and, unfortunately out of site, out of mind. I talked to my boss and she's going to help me remember to drink more. Tomorrow I'll do better  I found a sprouted whole grain flax seed bread today - low calories and low carbs, no sugars. It was great to have a sandwich for lunch today. It's been close to a month since I've had bread. And I don't think I even need to feel guilty about it?!?! I'm saving all the nutrition labels from the things I'm finding to take to my appointment next week lmao! Dang it this time I'm going to learn something so I don't have to lose all this weight ever again.
Angeleyes: Thanks for the info on the ball. I'll see what I can find on-line. I have the tool so there is no reason not to give it a shot! :thanks: Curley: That was a great inspirational poem. Did you write it? I have one on a bookmark I use. Maybe sometime I'll post it too. :comp: Lisa: Quitting smoking! WoooHoooo. You've done the tough part (imo) by making the commitment to yourself. Good Luck GF, and if there is anything I can say to help you out just let me know! I can start by telling you my mouth doesn't feel all ickky every day and my car stays much cleaner without those nasty ashes all over the place. p.s. What does DH mean? I'm assuming its your hubby. I've seen the abbreviation before but i'm just gonna quit guessing lmao. Also what's AP?? :dunno: jennie934, Hotcupojava, TeaElleBee : Busy people! I can't believe I complain that I have no time. :foot: I don't do half the things it sounds like you do and look at all that you do do! Good Job to you all! momX3: Good to hear you're feeling better and thanks for the little water nudge. :sunny: Petra: LOL I agree with that morning thing. I sure hope Kobe (one of the lovely dogs in your pic?) is ok. And that should do it for me tonight. Thanks all for listening/reading my rambling again! It's been fun ;) |
Am I still welcomed? :( I know it has been a while I haven't gained anything back but I havent been doing as well as I hoped. I'm so glad to hear you are all doing so wonderful with your programs I hope I can get back on track and keep at this. I've missed the forum specially the PIC's. First post with my new computer
Good morning Divas!!
Using the new PC this morning, incredibly lovely, with a 21-inch screen (dont even need to put on my glasses) YAY. Everyone in my family is settling down. Shout out a big welcome to ~Jackie~ I'm glad you found us. <<MOONRAY>> Of course you are welcome here. Don't be silly. I jumped from the wagon, rolled down a hill, caught myself in a burr bush, ate a pint of Ben & Jerry's, felt like a :ink: , and these gals welcomed me with open arms. I think if you don't fall off the wagon, you can lose track of how hard you have worked, and what you have accomplished. Hang in there all, you're doing great!! Keep your targets set at One-Derland, that train will arrive sooner than you think (hopefully I can get MY junk out of the cargo car, if you know what I mean). Hugs to all!! L2L |
