Hi Jackie . Of course you are welcome here. Welcome, Welcome, Welcome. Are you going to be starting a diet soon or are you nursing?
|
Sorry I haven't been around much this week. I am having the week from ****. Between just getting back from vacation and several other people being out that I have to cover for I have been doing nothing but working, sleeping, and eating (and not much eating). Kobe kept me up almost all night on Tuesday for some unknown reason. I thought I was going to kill him before the night was over. Buddy got his new collar yesterday and he had to get a shock to see what the consequences would be if he tried to escape again. It was not a pretty sight. They also gave me some training tips. I have been doing a good job staying OP so I should have a loss to report this week.
Welcome Jackie. Jump right in. Everyone is friendly here. |
First of all, WELCOME JACKIE!!!! Your baby is so cute! I love babies as long as they are someone elses. What a beautiful name.
I am so stupid. Last night I was planning on making my WW pizza. Dh talked me into stopping at Subway. Found out last night he really doesn't like my pizza. I KNOW what I should eat at Subway but really didn't want it...so I picked a very wrong thing on the menu and proceeded to eat a 12 inch sub..WHy do I do that to myself. URGGGG! Next time, I am picking better. I groaned when I found out the points. I have flex points but rarely use them but did last night. Exercise has not been my friend this week. I haven't had time to get it in. I have been working on my pedometer and getting enough steps in each day so I can't say my exercise is at zero. Water has been my friend. LOL SO I am sure I am getting AP's going to the potty every 20 minutes. LOL So far my scale shows a loss..... amazes me because when I exercise 4 to 5 times a week, I don't show a loss. I am just keeping on ...keeping on and I know the exercise will catch up with me. Momx3: I love the ellipitical. I am planning on going to the gym tomorrow night. Thursday's are too hard for me to try to go. I will do Richard tonight. I need to do Richard. Curly: I have a stair stepper at home. Not sure what the brand is. I like it but hurts my knees so I use it only when I have to. I can't do the ones at the gym..they kill me and if I am there the ellipitical is so much more kinder on my body. I have several pieces of exercise equipment in my garage and storage room. I really need to dig them out for winter. Jennie: Happy bday to your son!!! M decided she wanted a gymnastic party again. I don't mind paying the money to have someone else host it but she is going to be limited to 8 guests this year. I am not paying for another coach. I proably will invite the girls in her class only plus the neighbor boy and another boy in her class that I know the parents. I hate doing that but last year I paid for 16 kids and it got too expensive. She has 4 cousins... so I haven't decided if I am going to do a small family party too or invite the girls and leave the boys out since my stepdaughter is not talking to us. HEck I don't know what to do and probably will invite them all. LOL I hate kids bday parties. LOL We have done the gym party, McD's party, swim party and of course an at home party. Angel: How are you doing today? Petra, Turtle, TEB...where are you??????????? Come out, come out!!! L2L: We are sending out the search party..POST GIRL!!!! Lisa Wyoming |
Hey Gals, Well I wanted to walk to work again today but my dad drove by and offered my son and my self a ride because he was going to rent a uhaul truck so I ended up droping him off and driving his car. tonight is soccer for my son maybe I can get some walking in before that. My favorite teacher at the gym is going to start teaching kickboxing again so I'm excited but, its the nights I work late. Hopefully it will go well and she will keep teaching.
Mom, yeah!!! I love that towel test. I can't wait until the towels at the gym fit me. Hahhh, you probablly have to be like a size 2 for those to fit, they are so small but maybe someday. Jackie, welcome, what a pretty baby. I miss my son being a baby, it goes by so fast. Petra, I hope your week gets better and you have a nice weekend, nothing like a busy week to mess things up. Curly, I dont' use the stepper but $30 sounds like a good deal. TEB, java, Angel, everyone else, have a good one. Lisa, birthday invite list are such a conundrum. I want to invite his class and I'm sure they won't all come but what if they do ahhh...so I'll stick to the neighborhood kids that I can count on. Have a good day everyone. Jennie |
Hello
Sorry I've been MIA. Squeak got awfully sick again and I broke down. I get so overwhelmed with life in general sometimes that I just go into "Shut down" mode. But this time I actually swallowed my pride, sucked it up and I called Jay and told him I simply NEEDED him to help me. He drove up and of course, to make a liar out of me, Squeak perked up when she heard her "Daddy." I mean by no means, was she better, but she actually moved her head. He called the vet for me and made an appointment for today. He was very comforting and made me feel so much better with him just being here. He held me and listened to me,we watched TV. The appointment this morning went okay. But she's in bad shape and they're going to keep her in their "Hospital" for two, three or more days to try to get her fixed up completely. There's NO ONE there during the night, so I wouldn't exactly call that a hospital. But if they can make her better and make her STAY better, I guess it'll be worth it. I've spent $500.00 already and I'd hate to put a young cat to sleep, simply to save money. Doesn't seem right.
I started back on South Beach Tuesday morning and it's going well. I ate too little yesterday, of all things. I got my "Urban Rebounder" and I think I'll be able to do the work out. But I need to try it first, before I decide if I'm going to keep it. I put it together and since I was running late and short on time, I took the DVD to work and watched it there to see if it was "doable." It looks like I'll be able to. Peace and great luck to all who post here. I'll try to check in later. Dang, my head hurts. :( |
Hi everyone!!!
Hi Jackie....WELCOME!!! Your baby is adorable, what a cutie paa-tootie! :bb: It took me a minute to figure out where her picture was though. hehe How are you doing with being a mom? What plan are you on? Whatever it is, if you are nursing her....be sure to eat those extra calories for your breastmilk. Mom.....woohoo on the whole towel event!!! :cb: Gotta love those success moments!! Petra.....Poor Buddy, but I guess he'll learn not to ram the barrier. I would have been a little freaked out if he came charging me and my dog. Don't get me wrong, I love dogs but once you've been pinned to a wall with a snarling german shepherd....you tend to have certain issues with dogs. Sorry you've had a bad week, its always that way after holidays. HotCup......Poor Squeak. This little hospital visit is just what she needs to get back her health. That infection has been going on for too long. Glad to hear that Jay was there for you. Curly......Can't say how funny that commercial was. I saw it too for the first time the other night while watching 'biggest loser'. I wondered what they could be selling (advertising)....duh!! Lisa.....Don't worry about the sub. You ate it, it tasted good and you had the flex pts to cover it. Funny thing about subway is I've never tried any of their subs. I always have the same thing....a ham deli bun with veggies and their no fat sweet onion dressing. Nice and simple......dh swears by them though. TOM is definitely overstaying his welcome. I have so many crampy feelings and what do you think the teachers at the gym are concentrating on? ABS!!!! GGGRRRRR..... I am certainly trying but OMG.....I better have abs of steel after this!!!! Dh comes home tonight (yeah) its only been 2 days, but 2 LONG days AND NIGHTS!!! |
Hi Gang - just a quick check in from me to let you know I am still kicking. It is 5:08 and I'm still at work.. I am suppose to leave by 4:00 to head home to study... guess I will be staying up a bit later tonight
Anyhooo.. just wanted to say hi to you all and hope that you are all doing well. TTYS ~ TLB |
Howdy PIC,
I know I posted from work yesterday but my post never showed up. I wanted to post a post from a Yahoo group of WW. This lady has lost 80lbs.I like her attitude and her advice. THought I would share. When I don't wanna, sometimes I make myself. I set my plan for the day, food, exercise, what time I'm going to do it, and I just do it. Sometimes I go out looking for new recipes so I can have something new that I like, or I make a list of the things that motivate me, or go try something on that I didn't used to be able to wear, or I go do something that I didn't used to be able to do, that sort of thing. I try to find myself a good reason to stay motivated. You can do it. You don't have to be perfect. Just keep going. Each day make a little change, whether it be drinking your water (even if it's only one cup more than the day before), eating more fruits and veggies, doing 10 minutes more exercise or whatever. Each time you do something a little better than you did the day before, you will be even more proud of yoruself. It doesnt have to be anything big, just something better. You can do it, even when you aren't perfect. :) TEB: Find some time for you girl!!!! You have been working much too hard. Angel: Great for you going to the gym with TOM visiting. When I used to have TOM, I would be in bed for days.. can't imagine going to the gym. LOL I will get back there next week. THis week a little too crazy even for me to find time. Turtle: Sorry about Squeak. Glad Jay was there to help you. Sending healing prayers to Squeak. I have 2 kitties and when Miss K was a kitten she was horribly sick a few days after rescuing her from the pound. We spent far to much but even then she was part of our family. She loves M and has always slept with her even in the crib. M treats her horribly, she has always picked her up...upside down... Miss K loves it.. I have some awesome pictures of her in M's baby stroller all dressed up.. That poor kitty..M and her are the same age. Poor kitty has no digenty. My male cat is the king of the house. He is a big ball of fur. When M messed with him he would bat at her..and she would say.. Mommy the kitty hit me. LOL She had to learn very quickly...you don't mess with THE cat. He avoids M but always sleeps on my right side everynight.... he knows not to sleep on dh's side.. We swear he talks to us all the time and says mom. M wants a dog..but I don't think Miss K will let her have one....so we are going for a hamster.(they have one at school and M loves it...and it name is Bronco...but she thought it was football..which we are going to name hers that. LOL) We will have to teach M to keep the cage closed because Miss K is a hunter and nothing moves in my yard without her catching it. Birds, mice, ground squirrels...are her prey..... and she loves to leave them on the front porch..YUCK!!!! Jennie: they do grow up too fast. I was thinking the other day.... where is my little floppy baby??? M has grown so much. I am enjoying my life with her. I thank Him everyday for bringing her into my life and letting me be M's mommy. I am dreading the tween, teen and young adult years. Maybe I can just lock her up and let her be my sweet baby forever. When she turned 5, I told her she couldn't get any older. I love this age. The sweet innocence and the new found independence. She did decide on the gym party... but I probably will have to invite 16 kids..urgggg... but I have decided 2 hours of gym is worth no party bags...I may do a pineta instead and fill it lightly. That stuff cost as much as the party... There is 6 other girls in her class and I will invite all the girls... plus she has cousins and other friends but I can't settle on just 8. Petra: I hope work slows down for you too. It is hard when it is "crazy" at work. LOL no pun intended. LOL Ok.. well..I need to fill up my water glass and get my day started. M is going to the farm with school. She is excited for her first real field trip. She has worried all week that I didn't pay for her. Did it the first day. LOL Everyone have a great day. fustrated
can u say F-U-ST-R-AT-E-D???? thats me! before i start my whine... welcome to the group Jackie! :)
turtle... i hope squeak is feeling better... and getting stronger! ok time for me to whine... i am sooooo fustrated... today makes an entire month that i have see sawed back and forth.. I have watched everything that goes into my mouth, and actually ive cut back... and exercised more and i look at the scale today and it says 248 WTH??????? :?: im going backwards! my stomach looks tighter to me so ... who knows lmao ive weighed myself in every room of the house.. i had gone back on my birth control and then didnt go back on it after the 1st month so maybe thats got my metabolism screwed up ... i hate to take it at 44 .. there are so many bad side effects..at this age especially when DBF is in another state.. looking at my cycles it looks like i went back down in pounds after TOM... so maybe thats it ... he should be here any day... BUT GEEEEEEZ its depressing to do all this work and not see that scale move!!! BUT I WILL NOT GIVE UP! ok thank u for listening to my rant for the day... |
TGIF everyone!!! I can't tell you how happy I am that it is finally Friday although I still have a long day ahead of me.
Curly-you may be gaining muscle from all your working out so don't get too hung up on the scale. Have you measured yourself lately? Turtle-sorry to hear the baby is sick again. I hate it when they are sick. Hope she gets all better this time. Angel-Buddy is a Golden Retriever. If you've never met one of these dogs, they are well known for their friendly, docile personalities. I didn't see what happened with the other dog but it is hard to imagine him "attacking" another dog although I did see the very small cut on the other dog's nose. Buddy is actually very sweet and gentle. When he meets people he usually lays down on the floor so they can rub his belly. (also a sign of submission). This is NOT an aggressive dog. Neither or my dog's are aggressive. At any rate, it is still my responsibility to keep my dog's on my property and I have done my part where that is concerned. Lisa-thanks for all the motivation. I think we can all use it about now. I am happy to report a 2 lb loss this week. That makes a total of 5 for the challenge. |
Hi Everyone, TGIF!!! I am so glad its friday but my weeekend is so packed as well. I'm almost tempted to take a 1/2 day to go and get stuff for Blaise's party tomorrow. We have this area in Pittsburgh called the strip whichis like old school wholesale food distibuters that are open to the public. The food is fresh and cheap but its only open until 5 :( I need to get there on my lunch break maybe so that I can buy everything I need and not spend a fortune.
Still no excersise this week. what is wrong with me, I just can't figure out a way to fit it in. I know I would be in a much better mood if I could fit it in. Moving day is monday so, maybe once I am at my sisters house I can figure out a routine and set up my step aerobics or somthing. allright, off to the daily grind! Have a great friday everyone Jennie |
i agree TGIF.. even tho i have to work @ 5 hrs tomorrow.. tonite i have to go help out at a dance to raise money for the alzhemiers walk... tomorrow at 5 i have my Leukemia walk.. and somewhere in the middle or start of that i will go work out! lol
and throw in i am having a bad tummy, and running back & forth to the ladies room, had a swig of pepto for my lunch and cheese stick... hopefully one of them will help! haha TMI i know.. and i am so brain washed .. as i am making those 6 or 7 trips i am thinking well that should bring me down @ 2lbs ROFLMAO! And my BF is still down working on Katrina.... and i havent heard from him :( |
It was my weigh in this morning. I have lost 4 pounds. That puts me down 8 lbs for the challenge. :cb:
I am at work so I will try to post personals tonight. It is my ds 14th Birthday so I may be busy. |
Howdy Howdy Howdy!!!
1-1/2 hours until I go home!!!!! Curly: I have been meaning to respond to you all day. I am in the same boat. I exercised my butt off for 2 weeks and all I showed for it was .6 loss... Now this week, I am like Jennie..can't find the time to exercise at all. Monday-Open house, Tues-PTA, Wed-M had a friend stay over, THur..Piano and never can fit the exercise in..tonight...which I normally would go to the gym..M has to be at the gym at 5:30 with CUPCAKES!! EVIL EVIL CUPCAKES!! for an open house there and to do a demostration. SO that leaves me with NO time to exercise. I think I loss this week. Plus combine that with my subway night..which I totally blew it.. I think the program is backwards. LOL I will stick with it. I know I have gone down in inches. I found my old jeans. I am in a pair today that I met dh in..and you know what....They are slightly baggy. LOL Momx3: Yea on the loss!!!! Yippeee for you!!!!! Petra: Great loss..I need to update our sheet. LOL I think everyone was bummed last week so I didn't do it. LOL Jennie: Life sometimes does get in the way. I hate that. LOL Don't stress..you will get a rountine once you get settled. Jackie: Post..we miss you when you don't...We hunt down people who post and then stop..ask Turtle. Turtle: Is squeak doing better today?? How is life on the beach? TEB: Take 5 minutes for yourself and do something only for you!!! Ok..I have to pick M up from school. She went to the farm again today. She loves field trips..and she had to fix her hair very special today because Nikko likes it when she does that... Umm...this love thing..needs to come later in her life. LOL Lisa Wyoming |
Lisa - It is ds 14th birthday today so Dh went and bought cake, cookies, ice cream and candy for his party tomorrow. I just have to stay away.
Curly - I hope you are feeling better. I hate having a upset stomach. When will you get to see BF again? Jennie - You will get back on again. Try not to worry. I hope that the move goes well. I Hate moving. My dad was in the air force so we moved every 3-4 years. Petra - Poor Buddy. I wonder if something got him jumpy to cause him to go after the other dog. I have always heard that Golden Retriever's are very gentle dogs. Turtle - How's south beach? How's your kitty? I am so sorry you are going through that with Squeak. TLB - I hope things lighten up for you soon. TTYL |
Happy Weekend everyone! I went to my power yoga this morning even though it was a struggle. We had a teacher I've never had before and I liked the class. Angel-you have problems with your wrists and I have problems with my feet. I have flat feet (I have since childhood, its not weight related) and those warrior poses kill my feet. One of the instructors gave me some modifications which seem to help although it's not perfect.
I have a busy day today too. I have a bunch of errands to run this morning, and this afternoon I'm going to a Christian Music event on the other side of town. It's mostly for youth groups so they have a skate boarding park, rock climbing, etc. but this afternoon Skillet will be playing and tonight Toby Mac for those of you who are into this music. I better get moving so I get to the post office before it closes. |
Good morning everyone!!!
We were up bright and early today. My ds had a special ceremony at church for 8 am!!! Oh well, at least with going to the early mass today, we can sleep in tommorow. So how is everyone doing this week? Yesterday I was chaparone for ds's class trip to the zoo. We had a great time, but why is it the misbehaved kids never have their mom's volunteer for trips? I swear....these kids eat the worst lunches....One boy ate for lunch...a Mountain dew soda, 7 cookies and a bag of chips!!!! VERY HEALTHY!!! And this is a grade 2 class!!! Often times, my son is the only one who has a pc of fruit to eat. UNBELIEVABLE!!! I clipped on my pedometer yesterday and it tallied 6855 steps. Anyone know how many miles that is? I know a goal is for 10,000 steps a day. Almost made it. Petra....Great job on the weight loss. :cp: I don't know what I was thinking when I was writing my post about Buddy. Yes...I know goldens are gentle loving dogs, sorry I went off on my own tangent. I focused on the charging and little else.....how is he doing now? Mom.....Good luck with the party. :woo: Cake, cookies and icecream....what more could a boy want? Make sure they eat it all or you'll be eating it the rest of the weekend!!! :nono: Excellent job on the 4 lb loss!!! Lisa....Don't give up....Things are just shifting around in your body. Muscle mass getting bigger, inches getting smaller, and all over toning up. Look for the details....are your cheek bones coming out, collar bones getting chiseled....rings getting looser, going up stairs easier? Its a total process, not just a scale thing!!! I bet you have more energy to keep up with M. Jennie...... :woo: Good luck with your son's party and with your move on Monday. Very stressfull.....but glad when its all done. Hang in there!!! Curly......Good luck with your Leukeimia walk....wow, 5 am!!! and I'm complaining about going to church early!!! haha  How long is your walk-a-thon? I would think that would be enough for your workout today. way to go!!! Hotcup.....How is squeak doing? Is she home from the hospital yet? Give her lots of hugs. :grouphug: Jackie.....How are you doing? :nono: You can't just post one post and then dissappear you know? haha....How's that sweet baby of yours doing? I sure hope she sleeps through the night for you. Momma needs her sleep!!! |
Good Morning Partners !!
Hope everyone is enjoying the start to their weekend. I am just having a nice :coffee: before I head off to school. Things are going well for me, but as you can all tell I am pretty busy. For the next 10 months my schedule is going to be this way, and I am certainly trying to find me time, but unfortunately there are only so many hours in the day...but I am doing what I can. Petra - hope you enjoy your concert. Mom - how did the bday party go.. did you manage to stay away from the treats ?!? oh and congrats on the 4 lb loss.. YAHOO ! Lisa - hope your weigh in goes well this morning ! Turtle - how's life treating you back on the beach ? Jennie - if you find a way to fit in the exercise let me know, that is what I struggle with as well. Curly - hang in there girl. When you first joined us you had been seesawing and then look what you have lost since... it will come (or I guess it would be better to say it will go  ) Angel - hope life is treating you well ! Jackie - sorry, I don't think I officially welcomed you to the group.. WELCOME! Well that's about it for me.. off to strain the brain for 7 hours :dizzy: Take care and ttys :D |
WAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
Drum Roll Please!!!!! I was down 4.2 this week!!!!! I am at 216! WOW!!!! My Halloween goal is still in sight. I am so happy..BUT Were is the justice?? I exercised my buns off for 2 weeks. Got tons of AP points in and I maintain and lose .6... This week NO EXERCISE and I ate Subway once(the scary hairy meatball!) and had McD's last night (well within my points) and I lose 4.2! I know deep down the exercise is what kept me though but it makes you not want to exercise. But I will anyway. LOL I am loving the results. It is almost time to make me one of those success pages. I have lost the equavilent of M's weight. Lisa Wyoming |
Checking in (quickly)
Wow, you all are doing great. Look at that! Lisa, you go gurrrrl. Get ON with your bad self!
I'm getting ready to get ready for work. How's that? Well, you know what I mean. Got up and called to check on Squeak. They're keeping her until at least Monday. They said she's eating for them and is no worse, but not improving like they'd hoped. That cat is breaking me! Good thing I love her so much. But this must be pretty serious. I'm not doing very well on the beach this time. I don't know what's different this time around, but I'm not losing like the last time. I started over, diligently on Tuesday Phase I. I'm eating the same things and exercising approx. the same amount (which last time wasn't much either), but my weight keeps fluctuating between 227 and 233 (thankfully, closer to the 230). I guess I'll have to switch something up. I got my Urban Rebounder and I'm not that happy with it. It's larger and sturdier that I anticipated (which is good), but it's put together wrong and the stabilizing bar won't fit (I wasn't going to use that part anyway) but the work out that came with it, although it looks simple and easily doable enough, was too fast for me. I feel too heavy and cumbersome on it. Not that it won't hold me, but I can't explain it. Someone said that they didn't like the work out that came with theirs either and simply made their own up to their own pace and own music. So I'm going to try that a few times before I decide if I'm sending it back Away game today (Maryland Terrapins) so I don't anticipate a crazy day at the office. Curly, who do you think will win? I think you will STOMP US! And today my Friday (Finally!) Pooh came up on Wednesday, because I simply couldn't handle "THINGS" and I called off sick. He went back home yesterday, but he's coming back tonight. As always, we've made plans to be spontaneous ;) . LOL camping or something fun, but like every week, it'll probably get buried in him sleeping too much, me being on the computer too much and getting a late start on each day. Time is running out on the fun summer stuff, as fall is nearly upon us. Okay, I still need to journal before I shower. I did manage to get a lot done this morning. Good Turtle. I'm GOING to check in from work today and address you each individually, if it KILLS me! I'm sorry I've been away so much. |

Angel i think u were looking for this a few days ago:
Converting steps to miles: 6685 = Number of steps divided by 1900 = Number of steps taken in a mile 3.5 = 3 and ½ Miles walked |
Good Morning Everybuddie!!!
Today is a beautiful day in Wyoming! Did anyone see the moon last night?? It wsa so kewl... started out as a big orange ball and we were out at sis in laws house in the prairie (no city lights) and it seems so huge!! Anyway, I reflected on my loss this week. IT really is a 3 week loss. IT is a little under what my average has been each week. I was so glad to see the scale move. I know the exercise paid off but I think what happened other than my body adjusting is when I was exercising like crazy and helping with the fence Labor Day weekend... I don't think I drank enough water, I did eat ok, but should of eaten more fruits and veggies, and I don't think I ate enough overall with the amount of exercise I was getting in. This is a new week. My plan is to get my butt back to the gym. I might try to go today. M has choir practice this afternoon and I will have a good hour to to get to gym, exercise and get back to the church. (I can probably get a good 45 minute cardio out of it.)I plan on going on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. This week should be slower too with extra activities and I can find "Me" time Yesterday, I got my water in and stayed OP. We did hit subway last night for dinner and Wendy's for lunch. Wendy's was easier. I got a hamburger with no mayo and no cheese. Then I got a fruit cup. (no fries) Subway last night I only had a 6" cheese steak which is only 7 points versus the meatball with 12. I did get lots of veggies on it. The cheese steak is less calories and points than tuna and some of the other cold meat sandwhiches. Only 1 point more than the turkey and ham. The girls wanted McD's so I got me a fruit and walnuts salad. I didn't eat the walnuts. I enjoyed the fruit. So I did stay OP with the challenges. My bro in law was teasing me last night and said..well I don't want to ruin your diet. I said you are not going to ruin it. I can have subway or McD's..I just have to make the right choices. I got the rest of the holes dug out. We only got up 6 more posts and put up some of the horizonals. Of course the gate didn't fit..URGGGG.. but he thinks the hole for the other gate was too small but I think it will fit between the holes and he should try to put it up..We are on the last run of the fence and have about 16 posts to put in. Neither him or dh were motivated yesterday. LOL The girls and I played on the tramp. I can do a straddle jump and a knee drop..working on my seat drop. LOL Of course we rode the 4 wheeler around and around the property. It was a fun day. Ok, want input. M's dance studio is starting an adult ballet class. LOL I am really thinking about doing it. As a child I always wanted to take ballet. I have 2 left feet but really do want to try. I asked the teacher yesterday, if I had to earn my tutu like M did. When they start ballet they have to learn the 6 positions to earn their big fluffy pink tutu. DH said it would be worth it to see me in a tutu. I don't have a leotard and not sure I would want to see myself in one. LOL I want to teach myself grace and poise..something I never had. I think it would be great as far as exercise. I am really thinking about it. LOL Angel: I know..I deserve the I told you so..I knew in my heart I would lose... but dang it..I had when the evil scale messes with your mind. I still think my goal for Halloween can be done!!! Curly: that is awesome that the pants were too big.. Great feeling isn't it. Congrats on the walk...you go girl!! TEB: how are you doing? Momx3: did you survive the bday party? Petra: How are you doing? Turtle: Enjoy your weekend. YOu can't be a slave to the scale. You have to think of the posititves. Seriously, I think you should try WW. The points system is so easy. You are not restricted to one type of food. I like the accountabilty of having someone else weigh me. That is the only number I look at all week although I weigh myself a 100 times a day. I use the scale as a tool all week. I think the ideas and support you will get at the meetings will help you too. This journey is never easy but you have people hehind you, helping you and getting you though it. Hugs and Blessings, Lisa Wyoming |
Morning!!
Lisa......I think you should go ahead and try the adult ballet class. Why not? If its something you've always wanted to do, what's holding you back? I would have NO REGRETS!!! and to quote a famous company...."JUST DO IT" You know....M would just love having you take it....then you could have your pictures taken together in your tutu's. Adorable!! :encore: Good job on making better food choices. Its always tuff when eating fast food, but you did it!! I've learned from taking a iso-ball class, that you should always be pulling your belly button to your back spine area. Its amazing how that little move affects your posture, re-alligns your shoulders back and every thing just stands taller. curly.......YOU GO GIRL...YOU GO GIRL....Go back to Target...run don't walk and return those BIG CLOTHES!!! :bravo: On sale? and a smaller size?....AWESOME!! And when the girl asks you why....stand tall and SHOUT IT OUT...BECAUSE THEY ARE WAY TOO BIG FOR ME!!!! :cp: :cp: Thanks for the step/mile formula. Well, I'm going to try to head out for a walk now. It'll only be the third time so far this morning, in 1 hour. I get as far as the end of the street and then it really starts to rain. I'll never get my steps in today.... haha, well maybe if I keep doing that 100 times or so. ggrrrrr darn rain!!! |
sunday
Lisa... i say life is too short... to have regrets .. GO FOR IT!
haha i went to Target>> the girl says y are u bringin em back>>> i say TOOOOOOOOO BIG! its the way they are made tho they are soft cotton and real stretchy... I had to go all the way down to a medium, but could only find 1 pair! :( I saw that wild moon last night... now imagine it with @ 500 people milling around with blinking ballons! it was really neat! me & chai walked down over the bridge that goes across to an island here... and got in @ 3 mile walk this morning at 6 was really neat saw a bunch of otters playin in the water.. really need to get disiplined and do that every morning to kick start my metabolism.. Plus it would be good for him also ... wear him out sohe doesnt get so bored wheni am at work... |
:( I tried WW, several times. It's WAY too expensive and I HATED the meetings. I can't be disciplined enough when I can eat anything I want. It didn't work for me. And just to be sure, I've tried it more than once. I have support here and at TOPS (if I ever go back). I know it works for some, my sister, for example. But it's not for me.

Me again.....hi.
Well I finally made it for my walk this morning. The third time was a charm!! My pedometer read almost 8000 steps, so if Curly is right....then I did a great job on a 4 mile walk this morning. YEAH!!! :cb: I was a nosey parker...LOL....went through the 3 new subdivisions they are building and thought the houses were gorgeous, but the yards were like a postage stamp. All this for the mid 290's !!! WOW....a little too rich for my blood but fun to walk through. Just helped my son finish his school project. He had to do a diorama (natural habitat in a shoebox) on a black widow spider. His choice not mine!!! And I've seen enough books and facts on them now to scare the s***t out of me. They are pretty common all over the States and mostly live in woodpiles. I'll be checking our firewood come winter, let me tell you. :fr: |
I survived my concerts yesterday but I think I lost some hearing. I was up front with the "kids" last night at TobyMac and it was LOUD. I don't normally get claustrophobic but that was a lot of people in a small space. Danced through the whole concert and I don't normally dance in public. I think I"m getting a little old for this.
Lisa-congrats on the weight loss. Go for the ballet class. You'll have a good time and it should be good exercise as well. Turtle-I'm sorry you are having such a hard time on the beach. Every time you go on a "diet" it does get harder and harder to lose weight. We aren't imagining that. yo-yo dieting does something bad to your metabolism. How can we help you stay OP? The couple who own the dog that Buddy bit last weekend came by today to tell me that he is fine. They had him to the vet and he didn't need any treatment. I told them what I had done to try to fix the problem and they were appreciative. My boys want their dinner so I better get going. |
weigh in
my weigh in this morning is 247.... up again! But I am not gonna stress. I have been OP and exersicing like crazy
:( one day it will go down... |
WOOHOO....I was doing the happy nekkid dance this morning!!! Down another 3.5 lbs.......my weight is now 222. :cb: :cb:
I don't have time to address everyone as I'm running out the door to drive ds and the infamous black widow diorama to school!! Have a great day!!! |
Hey Gals,
Just checkin up on everyone, this week end was Crazy!!!! :yikes:!!! my son's party was good, all the other kids were well behaved, he was amess, he was cry most of the time and I couldn't get him to relax and have fun and that is not much like him. He woke up very early and didn't want to eat all day. I think the anticipation was to much. then the pinata, can you say kids go wild! it was a mess. But he was happy and sunday was a good day, he slept for 13 hours that night an woke up and played with his new toys and his friends that were at his party(they all live on our street pretty much). It was our last party in our family home so my sister was a bit teary eyed the whole time and several time wen in the house and started crying. Suday, I was finishing up packing but I did get my jog in. the first one in a week! I did well, I bought some new running shoes at a specialty store and they are great. I would suggest anyone who walks or runs, go to a specialty store and get fitted for a good pair of shoes it really makes a difference. It was funny, at the store the guy had me walk bear foot, and mesure my feet then brought out several pairs and had me run on the treadmil and analized what was going on. I could really tell the difference. my feet have a high arch and they turn inward a bit so I had to get ones for stability. My sister's feet turn out so she had to get motion control. It was neat and it made my jogging a lot smoother. Good job to everyone this weekend, it sounds like we are hanging in there. I was ok but not great. I dont' think I overdid it at the party but I'll see. talk to you all soon, Jennie |
heres a pic from the walk thats me with the braid see how crazy i am shaped? no hips and all shoulders.. haha thats not my backside ... i had a red fanny pack on
|
**sigh** I WISH....I had no hips!!!
|
its hard as **** to get that weight off across my back.. i wonder y some people get heavy there?

Howdy Everyone,
Sorry I was MIA yesterday. M and I had some kind of flu bug. We are much better today but I didn't eat much yesterday. I am not stressing about it just going from there. I tried to keep something in my tummy all day. WE had soup and a lot of toast and crackers. Today is a new day. I am going to be slammed at work today. I am a day behind and need to get payroll done. I am going to the post office on my way to work. On a happy note, I went through some of my closet. I am trying to organize my clothing. I have tons of clothes in all sizes. I found a lot of jeans to replace the other ones that don't fit anymore. I have a huge box of clothes that don't fit anymore that I am getting rid of.. never want to see those sizes again. I am washing them and getting them ready for winter. Found a bunch of sweat shirts and other shirts. I have even been going through my dress clothes too. Well..I need to get M up and get ready for my day. I will check back later and do personals. Lisa Wyoming |
Morning (grumble grumble)
Oh man, it's Monday again. But if I can get through this week and Saturday's home game, I'll be off for six days, work another home game and then off two more. I may get to bring Squeak home today (before work) if they release her. Yesterday they gave me the run around all day and then finally admitted at two-thirty that they'd had someone go into cardiac arrest in their office (maybe after seeing the bill) and the DOCTOR was too shook up to look at Squeak. I don't want to sound cold or uncaring, but had they told me that all along, I would have been understanding. They tell me they're not going to charge me for keeping her yesterday. Just odd, I think. So anyway, I'm waiting until it's late enough to call and ask about her again. She's going to forget who her Mama is.
Jay and I went for a bike ride yesterday and then had a naughty dinner of pizza and chocolate. Then we were wrestling in the yard and we both took a bad tumble. We're both so sore this morning that we can barely move. I'm not sure if it's from the bike ride or the tumble or both. But we're getting too old for this. He had to leave at 0730 to go home to take his OWN cat to the vet. Gremlin has a bum leg. Here's hoping to a better week for the Turtle. I'm not sure if I'm going to continue on SB or not, but regardless, I need to try to keep my exercise up. I feel that's the key. C'mon Turtle, five days and two home games, you can do it. And here's hoping EVERYONE has a better week (raising my coffee to all the PIC Chicks who roost here) :coffee: |
