Hey chicks! Seems quiet around here. Is everyone falling off the wagon? I'm doing ok. Nothing to brag about. I guess I'm having a couple maintenance weeks. I'm not feeling very motivated at the moment.

I am thankful for Diet Coke with Splenda!! It has made dieting much easier. It's nice to have that little indulgence and it not cost me calories.

I'm glad that Wednesday is over and we're nearing Friday. It's been a long week. Not really sure why, but it has. DH is DJing on Friday so I'm looking forward to that. Oh and my health insurance benefits started today so I got my prescriptions refilled! I am hoping that it helps with my allergies to be back on the Zyrtec and Nasacort.

Well, I'm going to go read for a bit and then call it a night. It's REALLY rainy and dreary here and it's killing my mood. I hope it improves by the weekend. I swear if we don't have sunshine here before Monday we're all going to kill each other at the library.

I hope you are all well!

Hi Paige! You posted while I was typing. It sure has been quiet. I'll keep checking in and hopefully we'll get our group going again.

Oh and Lori - I LOVE Sams, but I can't go in there bc I have moments of weakness and end up buying things I REALLY shouldn't!! I haven't renewed my membership in years. . . hmmm..... LOL!

Good Evening,

I'm glad to see postings! I was getting worried too! Well I'm back on track, working out and eating like I should. I'm a day off, I didn't work out on Monday coz I thought my legs were going to fall off !!! There feeling better since I did work out and took a few doses of Advil. I have to go see the dentist at 7:15 am for him to x-ray my new bad tooth. I swear I have a problem with my teeth as soon as the dentist is gone for the weekend.

Oh and I will have to mention that the long weekend of indulging in all that fat and grease left my stomach really out of whack! Yesterday I thought I was going to have to spend the day in the bathroom !!! Seems better today.

Oh and weigh in on Tue. was a maintence for me too! Can't complain after what I ate and didn't do. Today was one of the nicest days we've had so far this year! Their calling for rain the rest of the week !!!

Kerry, no wonder you got in trouble at Sam's. That could happen so easily, espically if I took both kids! But the Aldi's next door is soooo cheap, I bought all kinds of junk we didn't need and only spent $30.00. If you don't mind getting off brands, it's the place to go!

My yongest son is down to 2 pair of jeans and 4 days left! If it would just get warm enough to wear shorts, I could just scream. I hate washing clothes in the first place, this is crazy! And my poor oldest son came in tonight with a fever and a sore throat, I hope it's not strep! I just took Tue. off work, they'ld crap if I had to take another day!

Ok, I'm really yacking! I'm going to go find some thing productive to do!

Lori-hope your son is feeling better.

I ended up taking 2 cheat days and woke up feeling horrible this morning. I met with the trainer and she went over my program, but she wants to start it next Monday. I was hoping to start today, but oh well. We did go through it once and my girlfriend and I were drenched with sweat. We'll be going through it 3 times over the next 2 weeks. It's going to be very challenging. I told her my vacation is the last week of June and she said I should be able to lose 10 pounds by then. That would put me at 145 which would be awesome for me. I've spent over 2 hours at the gym total today and have eaten really healthy. I've got to make up for my cheat days. Have a great night!

Hi everybody, I'm glad that those posting are doing good. I've been okay, but not great when it comes to eating. I need my scale back. Since DH took it from me, I've been much more lax at being vigilant. Tonight I will ask for it back so I really get back on track.

My craft room is basically done and it's great. I bought track lighting to go over the workbench and DH is putting it up tonight. I also bought fabric to make a roman shade (yes, in purple of course) and then it will be done.

I finished DS18's grad announcements and I mailed them all this morning. Since we live 1800 miles from our family, I'm hoping that they remember him in someway. I also sent out grad gifts to my niece and a friend's daughter. I'm almost being efficient. BTW, DS graduates from high school on the 12th. As my sister put it, who'd have guessed he would have made it when he was the biggest space cadet as a young child. But he did make it and is going to join the air guard and go to basic training this summer. They sure do change when they grow up.

The pool is warm enough to swim now, but the weather has taken a nose dive and it's cold. So I think this year will be the shortest pool season in our short history. I'm usually using the pool by the beginning of May and it's already in June and the weather channel says there's not a change of weather in sight. Continued cold. Usually we're in the 80's but we're in the fifties and sixties. I think the weather is playing havoc with my moods, thus effecting my eating.

Kerry, I tried the Diet Coke with splenda yesterday - I hated it. Now my fear is that my beloved Diet Pepsi will change to splenda. I will be a miserable person if that happens. Anyway, I thought there was a strong after taste - do you notice that?

Lori, hope your son is feeling better.

Kim, I hope your time with the personal trainer helps you reach your goals. 10 pounds is a lot by the end of June. Sounds like you'll be working pretty darn hard.

TTYL.

It's already Thursday, which is the beginning of my work week.....yuck! I'm still doing good with my eating. I had some oats made with skim milk, splenda, and I can't believe it's not butter spray for breakfast today. It was delicious. I haven't made oatmeal in years (except the instant kind). It was very filling too. I'm planning on going to a spin class in a couple of hours.

Kerry-Your new swimsuit does sound cute. I haven't tried the diet coke with spenda yet....sounds good. Are you feeling better since you started taking your allergy meds again?

Paige-I like your new avatar. It's great to have a face to put with the name too. My pic is in my profile too. It's my before pic (I weighed 175 when I took it). My scanner is broken so I'm unable to upload a new one. My digital camera doesn't work anymore either. I need some new stuff, huh? I can't seem to make myself work any extra right now.

Lori-I have the dreaded stretch mark problem myself. One of my girlfriends sent me a pic of herself in her new bikini and it made me a little jealous because she has had 2 children and doesn't have one stretch mark. I've got them on my stomach and lower back. 135 by 4th of July will be awesome! I'd pass out if I got on the scale and it was in the 130's. I've been going up and down in the 150's since January. It seems I take 1 step forward, 2 steps back. Maybe the warmer weather will be a motivator. It usually is.

Marie-Hope you get some pretty weather real soon!

Julie-Great to hear from you. Congrats on the 2.3 pound loss! That's great!

Yeah!!!! I am so glad to see everyone is posting!!! I was getting worried!

This week has been hectic at work with summer school starting. We have two other schools (due to budget cuts) on our campus for summer school so we have alot of action in our building. Hopefully by next week all the kinks will be worked out. The good thing is that I only have to work until 11:30 tomorrow so I will have a few hours to myself before the kids get home. I'm looking forward to next week being my last week at work. I'm ready for my summer vacation to begin!!!

I'm starving right now so I am going to go fix dinner so I don't sit here and snack!! I'll check back in later if DH will give up the computer!

Well, I went to my spin class and it was a different instructor teaching. Between the walking lunges I did yesterday and the spin class today my booty and quads are so sore! My abs are sore too. We did 1 set of abs yesterday also. Monday will start with the 3 sets.....whew! I can't imagine. I've eaten really healthy today. I'm planning on a boca burger, green beans, and pinto beans for dinner. Work is not going to mess me up this weekend. I have my mind made up..... No more binging or sweets until I reach my goal! I can do it!

Default Yay! It's FRIDAY!!

Good morning girls! I am so freakin happy that it is FRIDAY! I've had a long week. I went to the eye doc last night and that sucked. It took forever to get in, then they take me back and put drops in my eyes and put me BACK in the waiting room to dialate. Then the doc shines bright lights in my eyes and send me out into rush hour traffic with my glasses on an pupils dialated! I had my sun glasses over my glasses and it was cloudy I thought I was going to die! So glad that's over for the year.

I guess I'm down .5 from last WI. Dh agreed with me this morning that it was almost to 141, but not quite. I've not had luck changing the ticker to register a 1/2, but I'll try. We're going out tonight to the club, DH is djing, but I'm going to try to watch it with the alcohol since I don't want the calories and I don't want to be hung over at all.

Lori - I like the deals at Aldi's but the people scare me! Plus it took me forever to figure out the deposit a quarter for a cart thing. I'm such a dork I had to ask a 10 year old. She was kind enough to explain it to me.

Marie - I think anyone that likes the regular diet coke/pepsi with aspartame won't like the splenda stuff, but that's the idea. They're trying to get all us non-diet drinkers to convert. I've been drinking the C2 for some time and the diet with splenda tastes the same to me. I also read about all this happening awhile back on the coke website. Diet Coke is not the same formula as regular, they used the new coke formula to make it and then took regular coke back to the classic - thus the HUGE difference. Supposedly the new products with splenda are using the original coke formula. So to answer your question - I think all the diets have a bit of an aftertaste, but I like this new formula the best. I also like the Diet Cherry Vanilla Dr Pepper Boy that's a mouthful!

Kim - I am feeling so much better since getting back on the allergy meds. Thanks for asking! I have also been sleeping better and that is just awesome! I can't wait to sleep in this weekend. It sounds like you're really getting into the workouts! Good for you! I gotta get back at it next week.

Julie - Way to go on the LOSS!! You are my new inspiration. I need to get with the program and stick with it like you! I hope things get back to normal for you soon so we can see more of you.

Paige - I am so jealous of your summer vacation. My mom is off too since she's a teacher. I want summer vacation! I guess I should have become a school librarian if I wanted my summer's off, but I just didn't want to deal with the little buggers. Of course dealing with Physicians and nurses is probably worse sometimes! Enjoy your last week. They're already out down here. It's made my commute easier.

Judy - I hope you're hanging in there and feeling better. We're here for you no matter what! I'm sure you're doing all that you can, but have you picked up any inspirational books or music? That always helps me

Joetta - Are you still out there?? I hope your dad is doing better. We'd love to hear from you

Alright ladies, I'm off to make the most of my Friday. I'll catch you later chickies!

Well Chickies, we made it through another week!!!

DH just took my little angels with him to hang out at his brother's garage, they say their working, but to be honest I don't care if they are or not, the quiet time is nice. My poor kids, it's cold and raining again they are so sick of being stuck in the house, I don't blame them, I'd go hang if I were them.

Well it looks like we are all slowly (some faster than others) getting back in the grove of things!!! I'm glad! I have the most fun reading everybody's posts and not feeling like I'm the only insane person on the planet washing 2 million loads of clothes a week !!!!

I am dying to rid my gut of these last 10 lbs I could just scream! I was much heavier this time and it has taken so much longer to drop the weight that I'm getting overly anxious about it. DEEP BREATH!!! Last time I tried losing weight I didn't get below 140 lbs., so I'm at that teetering point, is it going or not??? Can you tell, I'm not a very patient person !

Kerry, I don't know which ticker your using but the one here at 3FC won't do 1/2 lbs., that's why I went to www.tickerfactory.com. Yea, that quarter thing was odd to figure out, but I just hate that they don't supply bags, I always forget and have groceries all over the trunk.

Remember Kim, pack that bucket and don't take any money to work!!! I'll have to share some good low fat sweet receipies with you so you can satisfy that bad craving. I made some non-fat chex mix the other night, it is awsome. Salty and crunchy, I just can't leave it alone!!!

Paige, when are you guys leaving for your dads? I hope you will be using his lap top while your there, we'll miss you for 3 whole weeks! Well enjoy your quiet time, we can never seem to get enough of it!

Julie, hey just get back when you can, and keep up the progress!!!! Good luck with the new position.

Marie, glad to here your sewing room is almost done, purple curtains sound really nice. My mom's rooms in her house are huge so she is able to use dark paints. One room is a beautiful medium purple color with a Thomas Kincade border.

Well I'm really blabbing tonight, see what alone time gets me! Judy, come chat any time you need to vent! And we all want to here about the second interview. And I miss Joetta too, I hope her dad is doing ok!

Oh I forgot, Kim is your son back yet? Did he have fun??

Ok, I'm going for real this time, check in with you all later!

I just got home from work and I'm exhausted. Zac will be back around 6:00 this evening. I can't wait!!!! I've missed him so much. I stuck to plan last night. I've had 1200 calories the last 3 days and it's all been healthy stuff. I'm having trouble getting in my vegetables, but I'm going to try to do better. I usually eat 2 veg. per day and 2 fruit. 6 months ago I didn't eat any so I've improved so much. I usually try to eat fish at least twice/week , almonds daily, yogurt daily and soy at least twice/week. I've also started eating oatmeal sweetened with splenda too-yum. I came across a success story on this website about a girl who read "Fourteen foods that will change your life" and all of the things I just mentioned were in the book. Check it out if any of you get a chance. It has great information. I'm going to try to get some sleep so I can make it to the gym before my baby gets home. Have a great day!

Good evening chickies!!!

Worked like a dog yesterday!! Did that darn old weed eating again! I got up yesterday morning and decided I best work out before I get into any crap, and boy am I glad I did coz I sure didn't want to do it whan I was done!!! Well I just finished my 20th week working out, which I do believe has broken my work out record.

Kim, glad Justin is coming home, hope he had a good time! The original chex mix receipe is from here http://www.fatfree.com/recipes/snacks/chex-mix I changed a few things, I didn't have all the cheerios and I had all 3 different chex's so here's what I did
4 c.-wheat chex
4 c.-corn chex
4 c.- rice chex
2 c.- cheerios
which left me 1 cup off so I just mixed the 3 to make another cup. I also used warchestershire sauce instead of the soy sauce 2 Tbls. 1 Tbls of seasonal, 1 Tbls. of garlic powder and left out the tiger, hot sauce stuff. (the kids would have killed me!) and I did use the fat free butter and fat free Itl. dressing. It is really good!

Well were finishing my walk way today to cut down on the weeding by hand, were lining everything with plastic and weed blocker. Next weekend we'll get my rocks to fill it all in. I'm going to get dressed and get busy, chat with you all later.
