It's an Italian sausage - like pepperoni, kabana, salami and chorizo etc all together. Not always hot but sometimes crazy red hot!
I thought everyone got veggie pizza!!! We have categories such as tropical, hawaiian, australian, indian, vege, meatlovers, cheeselovers, seafood and now I see that there is a Thai one coming along. When I find a computer that works I may try to describe them all. This one has blown a phoo phoo valve so I have to check my spelling and grammar at the end as I can't see all of the screen at one time.
Gotta go do some work. Will try to catch up properly later.

Not the blown phoo phoo valve again! That's some serious stuff! Sounds like the plumbing company has far greater problems with their infrastructure than with their software. You have my sympathies...
We have pretty standard pizza toppings here in the states - except of course for California which has to do EVERYTHING different than the rest of the country, but that's why we ignore them. So it was interesting to look at the international menus and see the different flavor combinations. I still am blown away that you can get a box of choccies with your pizza though.
I did get a nice kudos today from one of the big guys in the company complimenting me a section I just added to the company website. People just dump the stuff on me and I have to spend days checking to make sure everything is proper and spell checked and formatted and makes sense. Kind of like you Shad. I am trying to redesign our site and am finding that artistry is quite tedious. I have some new books here to help me do it properly but it is quite an undertaking. Since things are always changing on a day to day basis it's almost like holding a slippery water balloon trying to get ahead and keep up at the same time.
DH has been giving me grief all day about the cauliflower. He woke up at 2am and couldn't get back to sleep because he ate cauliflower. He couldn't concentrate at work because he ate cauliflower, he will be burping in his class tonight because he ate cauliflower. He is just teasing of course, but milking it all the way. I guess I should have just agreed with his original thought that I had mixed broccolli in with mashed potatoes.
Teel, I had to laugh at your remark that you were 2 pounds at birth and now you can't even lose 2 pounds. Somehow the irony of that is quite amusing.
Mel, I've heard of psyllium but what is that supposed to do for you?
I have all kinds of chores that are staring me in the face stressing me out. So I am going to turn on the timer and practice my Fly Lady - do what you can in 15 minutes a shot and get some of this stuff done, especially since DH is at class and the house is quiet. And I'm going to get to bed by 11:30 so I can get a restful night's sleep and awaken early enough to get some decent breakfast and a quick workout. After all, Thursday is TV couch potato night for me and I have to "earn" my reward. So step lively 'mam
Grrr, I had a long post written about pizzas etc and it has gone. I don't have the energy to start again at the moment. I think I have overedone it at the gym the night before last. Such competiveness with myself - always egging myself on to bigger and better times, weights, scores so now I will just have to have a bit of a rest tonight and maybe swim instead. Take some of the weight off the muscles. Nearly time to go home. Home sweet home. See you tomorrow with tales of pepperoni and cabanossi and such delights as the Taj Mahal Pizza.
Night all zzzzzzzzzzzzz
It is a brilliant blue sky and sunny day here today...but don't get fooled...it is only about 3 degrees out there!!
I am NOT a happy bunny. The scales are going in the wrong direction. Does the steroid injection have anything to do with this...or the doubling up of the painkillers for a week now??? As soon as I get home I am going to start putting this to rights.Loads of cyber help needed, please!
On top of this I could not switch off my brain last night hence it was 03:00hrs and 2 sleeping pills before I dozed off, only to come to before 09:00 to the sound of someone hoovering in the room next to mine.Grrrrr Where are Mel and Gosia? It is far too quiet round here, especially after yesterdays mammoth reading session
Suddenly feel the need to go find a picture of.........a cauliflower.......(sorry, Happy!!!! )
Much of today will be spent feeling sorry for myself I over did the exercise thing while watching a TV exercise show. Guess I was keeping the beat of the music unconsciously and now I wish I WAS unconscious!! Well some pills will put it to rights but it was a stupid thing to do. I did catch myself going too fast but it must have been too late
Teel~Psyllium is used as a natural laxative and is supposed to add bulk/fiber to your diet. Kind of a "crappy" subject for such a sunny day! I was told to try it and I did. But the pharmacist said I gave up too soon he thinks. We will see. I'll let you know how things come out I hope you are having some better days yourself! It's hard to stay focussed when the pain game is going on. Stay strong!
Shad~ Now that is what I call a pizza order!! Pizza with chocolates??? Another good reason to move!!! Sorry to read about your exercising woes too. I think I broke MY phoo phoo whatsis too. Have a good swim. That's what my neck needs. Hydrotherapy!! Preferably with a male therapist. Gotta love the big hands! Have a good trip home and I can see why you will be happy to get there!
Happy~ I am still laughing about the cauliflower!!! Mainly cause I could see it coming! My house still smells like bad eggs. Windows open, incense burning, candles etc!! I even sprayed it and left the apt!
Congrats on the kudos at work!! Always nice to have someone recognize your work! Makes the whole day a little brighter too.
I am off to find something to do that does not require any movement or exertion on my part Maybe just TV? A few more days of TV this month and I'll be a basket case!! It seems like circumstances are sabotaging my agenda along with myself of course. I must make a better effort in March and I will NOT buy any candy as the DD and her beau will not be having the kids. So there are no excuses to have it in the house. OOOH that is what I can do today. Get rid of the leftovers from dinner and a movie with Jen. We watched a Kevin Costner/Robert Duvall western. I forget the name. Something Range. Not bad and a happy ending but such VIOLENCE! I cdon't like that any more. I've had enough violence in my life and can't seem to tolerate it well on the screen these last couple of years. Oh well that's another story that had a happy ending! SO Chickies.... Have a great day !
Teel we must have posted together!! LOl I never saw yours. With that much medication I'd be flat on my bum!!! I'm not suire about weight gain and meds. But with all this pain are you drinking enough water and/or exercising. With a different routine combined with the meds, It may send the scale in the wrong direction!
I hope better days are coming right away and you can get sleep and have some good days for a change. Anything I can do to help...... Just holler!! When things pile up on me like they are doing to both of us right now, I try to joke about "life in the fast lane" I don't know if it works for you. Everyone is different. But I do know that when I stop laughing I cry! and that dear Lady is unacceptable to me! (((((HUGS)))))) for you today!!

Teel and Mel, if you are in the mood for cauliflower, I will be happy to speed ship you my leftovers DH was on steroids several times for his back and each time he blew up like a balloon. It's an unfortunate side effect. Maybe the best thing for now would be to put the scale aside and just focus on little healthy things - get your rest, drink your water, eat healthy things in reasonable portions and get a little movement in each day - even if only for a few minutes at a time. That's a lot of things to tackle but each tiny step keeps you in good shape and focuses on positive things that you do. The scale has WAY too much influence on all of us! And if the meds are working against you, there's no sense in getting yourself all frustrated over something you can't control.
Mel and Shad, I have often encountered getting a little too pumped up myself and suffering the after effects, particularly when I was working out with the trainer and he forgot that I was not some young sturdy chickie but in fact a rather old hen On those days when I was all stiff and sore I found that GENTLE stretches help pull out the kinks. Drink lots of water to flush out the acids that the muscles produce that make you feel sore and if you can get your hands on some eucalyptus bath salts, a nice soak will also ease the hurt. There were times I was walking around like Frankenstein because my legs were so sore. Once I could not unfold my arms! DH had to yank them open for me then he made me do some bicep curls. I thought I'd scream with the pain but sure enough the next day I was ok. Hope you both feel better.
Just popping in over lunch... will be back tonight.
Hooray!! I did my pedals and I am back on my plan again. Now if I could just turn my head
<-----This new avatar is to remind me that these are the changes I want to make and my goals!!!
Happy~ I wish I could take a bath!! But can no longer get in and out of the tub! But I took a warm shower with White Tea and Lavendar and felt a LOT better emotionally!! This will heal in time! I just cannot believe I actually did this!
I'll add some water to the days intake. Thanks for the tips!!
Hi ladies, oh pizza dear pizza, I must say that is one thing I do not eat, mainly cause it is not very diet friendly, and who can have one slice.. I think though happy your slices are weigh to big.. we have large pizzas that are 12 slices, you can't go to places and just buy one slice, probably just as well I suppose!!.. I must say that I used to like everything on a pizza now I like pepperoni and cheese on a thin crust not big fat pan one..mmm..
Now ladies I am having a mild hernia her because, I tried on the bridesmaid dress yest.. and to put it midly it is HIDEOUS!!!!... the style is not suiting me at all and the material is all wrong for the style and is too heavy and it doesn't flow and I will have to back into everywhere cause my bottom looks like you could land a fighter jet on it.. oh darn darn darn.. and even IF I decided to turn anorexic for 2 weeks it would still not look any good... you need to be about 5"10 and a size 8 (or maybe that is a 4 in America) for it to look any good.. I am trying not to panic BUT I rang the other girl and she agreed and hates hers and will be getting changed shortly after the dinner. So what the heck.. apart from having a major accident I am stuck with it.. I am going to take it to the material shop and ask them to get me a chiffon wrap to at least cover my arms and top half, is there any smilies that are puking??.. I need one of those now!!!
And to top it all off there is a cyclone due to hit us on Sunday, the Ivy that is curretnly in Vanuatu is coming for the north island, and I was suppose to be going up Rangitoto on Sunday for a trip with the Boy Cubs (yeah dib dib dob dob) as DS is one.. so guess that will be canned, but on the brighter side of that at least I will be able to go shopping and find a nice top to wear after the hideous dress comes off. I found a nice shirt a week ro so ago but knowing my luck they wil be all gone but I will have time to look around.. oh sob sob sob.. perhaps I will go on a mashed cauliflower diet and then I will be able to clear the reception room while I get changed...
Well I will be back soon to borrow all your shoulders to cry on.. how could someone make you wear something yuck.. and why can't I just say to her "hey you know that dress you picked and the material?.. well it has turned out yuck and I dont want to wear it!!, so lets just biff it and start again.. " I actually NEVER wear dresses so why I thought this one would look any good is beyone me.. bye all from sad shaker.. in fact I am not sad I am slightly hysterical and bordering on psychosis.. I can stop laughing about the dress tht I have to wear no matter what.. it is all a bit beyone me.. arrghh hellllpppppp!!!
Wish I had a dollar for everytime I have heard the saga of the bridesmaids dress. Doesn't anyone ask the opinion of the people who are to wear them anymore? I would simply sit down and refuse to wear something that I felt awful in. The last wedding I went to, the bride told the bridesmaids what colour she wanted and they fought it out between them for the style - which I might add did not really complement the bride!!!! but the bride was glamourous enough to carry it off.
Never mind Shaker, leave the darn thing in the change room when you get into jeans or whatever asap.
Mel, you slay me, you really do. You need to slow down a bit and think it out. Stop thinking about those firemen when you do those exercises!!!
I'd better get off the computer and let it be used for work. I'm on a plane in 3 hours so I can catch up on the doings tonight AT HOME!!!!

Oh poor Shaker! Having paid lots of money to wear a totally hideous dress several times, you have my sympathies. I swear brides pick out the most disgusting things so that they can look the best in the lot. Or they are under the influence of one person in the party - the ONLY one who can wear that style and color of dress. It is impossible to find a universal dress that looks good on a group of people who are short, tall, fat, thin, big breasted, flat chested, blonde, brunette and redhead, old and young.
Face it, no matter what all you can do is hold your head high and make a mad dash for a change after the ceremony (tho I LOVED your remark about the cauliflower diet )
Ok Mel, I just HAVE to ask. Inquiring minds want to know - Just WHAT were you doing at such a rapid pace that you can't turn your head? Or is it your neck that you strained?
Hey.... listen carefully... I think I can hear Shad humming a happy song as she beats a fast path out of town away from a dreadful week.
I whistle a happy tune,
and hold my head up high
The happiness in my tune
convinces me that I
AM HOME AND WITH MY MATES

Good flight down tonight, didn't seem to take too long and the stewies had a sense of humour - as in someone wanted something that wasn't on the trolley. Katya Stewie says - that's okay, I'll get it for you in a minute, you weren't planning on going anywhere else sometime soon were you? As If!!!!
So it's back to the normal for this weekend. I'm going to try to get a haircut tomorrow as I doubt it will hold for another two weeks. A bit of housework, a trip to the gym and some painting. That will do it. I did all my washing last night at the apartment so don't have to pack the bag again except for the wash bag. Geez, I'm getting good at this packing jazz.
Guess it is time for a cuppa and bed. Tomorrow is another day.
Or is anyone else getting confused with Shad's comings and goings?!?!?
Shad~ Are you ever confused as to where you are when you first wake up? I don't know how you do it sometimes!! Glad you got a head start on the re-packing! I really hope you have a good weekend and some down time. Haircut is good....mine is falling in my eyes Finally you can stop and smell your lovely flowers!! Have fun!
Shaker~ OMG I almost fell out of the chair!! I'm sorry to laugh but your post had ME in hysterics!! God knows why people pick the dresses they do. I'm in agreement with Happy that the bride wants to out-do her b'maids.
Sorry to hear the mess. Is the dress adjustable at all, like re-styling it? Or is that done only in the movies?! I can only send ((((HUGS)))) and hope the day is not ruined for you and the others!
Happy~ I had a dream that this giant cauliflower was chasing us.....
Ok no more veggie jokes!!! For the inquiring minds...all I was doing was minding my own business and using my 1 lb weights and watching an exercise program on the health channel. I got carried away with the beat of their music and walah......pain and agony! I will be eating pills for the next few days!! And the sad thing is that I wasn't even watching MEN!! And there were no FIREMEN involved either!! Very sad!
Been watching a lot ov movies and sorted some dresser drawers. Nothing too strenuous I am having some stern talks with myself about proper diet etc. I keep telling everyone else to JUST DO IT so why am I not listening. I'll be the token hippocrate of the journal set! Jen was here and took all the goodies away that they left behind. I told her I can't be trusted. Tuesday is food shopping day and I already have my list so whether it's on sale or not.....it's going into the cart and coming home with me. My plans are made and all I have to do is follow them!(again!!) You'd think I would get tired of this yo-yo crap wouldn't you? Hope you all have a great weekend. Weather l;ooks good for here. Open a few windows and "blow the stink off" as they say TTFN my friends================================
Hey Mel, more than once I have had to get out of bed and look out the window to see where I am. Even that doesn't help sometimes so I get out the schedule and check out the date and where I should be on that date. Hope no one ever sticks me on the wrong flight by mistake hey!!!
If it's warm, waving palms, planes coming and going overhead then I am in Cairns, if it is blue sea, offshore islands, heat etc, then I am in Townsville. Flat country, sand and riverview views plus temperate heat mean I am in Perth. If I wake up to roses, heliotrope, grass and garden, I'm home. It's easy really isn't it?
Okay, it is end of month again. So guess what that means Ms Melody?
Yep - measurements. Here we go again
Weight - 75/75/75
Upper Chest 40/39.5/39
Bust 44/43.5/42.5
Lower Chest 36/35.75/35.5
Waist 36/36.5/35.5
Upper Hips 42/41.5/41
Lower Hips 41/40.5/40
Top of Leg 22.5/22/21.5
Top of Arm 12.5/12.5/12.5
So the shape is changing but not the weight. Oh well, try again another month. This weight is getting up my nose!!!!
WELCOME HOME SHAD!!!! Oh it must be so great to be in your own bed for the weekend at least! I see your egg is on...are you there or are you pretending? Gosh I am at home too, it is freezing, I guess switching off one heater (leaving one on) and there being no human activity to speak of all week has not generated much heat to cope with the snowy blizzards we are having at the moment..oooh quick pause there to let Holly out for a reluctant weeeeee. She asked to go out, stopped on the doorstep, decided there were no cats to annoy and turned round to come back in....persuaded by mum with a gentle push to get out there she did spend a penny. It is such a beautiful clear night with twinkling stars and a half-moon. Snow still on the ground but not much.Gorgeous but far too cold to hang around start gazing....
Well I have joined in with the old crock's injury club. I have hurt my back, I think I strained it putting my shopping away and unpacking...and doing something stupid which I MAY confess later!
Mel I hope your neck feels better soon...I can't imagine what it felt like to have a shower with White Tea and Lavender..what did you smell like afterwards? What is white tea, exactly?
Happy...thanks for your thoughts on the meds and the scales saga...now I am home I have been so OP today it is scary! A good soak in a beautiful smelling bath of hot, hot ( ) water, with a good book and soft candles flickering on the rim sounds absolutely wonderful. Unfortunately, I am like Mel..I might need the firemen's watch to haul me out...not a pretty sight!
Shaker....that blinking dress sounds a complete and utter nightmare...can't you and the other bridesmaid get together and refuse to wear those hideous things? Remind me now...what colour is it?
Shad, I hope you have a good weekend in your own home...goodness me you were a bit "Ms. Ultra Organised" before jetting home for the weekend...super job not to have to lug washing home and then all the way back again. You are getting well practised at this zipping across the continent lark. Hope the bit in the middle of the flying home is a bit more civilized this week. Oh I forgot to ask the other day when reading about your Italian holiday thoughts...do you speak Italian? It looks like you have a good start with liking pizzas... Had to at the description list has anyone ever noticed that the Aussie Pizza is just a tad ...well....BORING!!!!!
As I this I have been playing a Simon & Garfuncle album through my computer. It is "The Definitive Simon & Garfuncle" 1991 Album. I love S & G...but I realize I am on the penultimate track...Bridge Over Troubled Water...so this post has taken an age and a half!! The album playing time is...wait for it...57mins 39secs!!!
Guess it is just about time for me to go join Holly who I suspect has gone to bed... I must admit it will be good to curl up with a warm body next to me....shame it is just the dog....
Night Night all...lands to the east...have a nice day...and lands to the west...nearly the weekend!!
