Hey, congrats! It's awesome to see tangible results for all the effort -- definitely helps with the motivation. You're getting so close to your mini-goal.

Good going Matilda! Its paying off!

I have a question all....how does TOM affect your weight? I know that we all experience a temporary bloating but this is the first time that I am having TOM on my weigh-in day. Today is Day 2 of TOM and I am up a 1lb today. Of course, I do not feel thrilled about it and almost did not work out this morning but I forced myself to do nonetheless. When can I expect to see the scale move back down? I thought bloating occurred the week before TOM not during!

Hey,

I mistakenly posted on Women of Color #2, but then saw that it moved.

Well, I am new here and recently transitioned from being a lurker to being an active member. I am hoping to make some friends, get some support and advice. Good luck to everyone on their weightloss journeys!

Matilda - You are doing so well. Keep going you will be at the Mini Goal before the end of the month!!
SweetEpiphany - Welcome...join the fun and post often. I find the more I'm here posting the less time I'm off plan.

Having a great week. I expect to see some inches missing this week. I ran yesterday and Wednesday. I plan to go running again today. I'm planning to do a lot of running this month because I fully intend to be comfortably in that size 14 by my birthday. I'm adjusting calorie counts to get me there. Have a great day ladies.

Sorry, I don't have a period, though I do notice that around the time period that would be my TOM, if I had one, I tend to plateau, or the scale creeps up 1/2- 1 pound. But I hear other on 3FC saying that they gain as much as 3-4 pounds of water weight during TOM.

Are you drinking plenty of water? That's been helpful for me as far as getting rid of water weight along the way.

Hey Slim CB. TOM can definitely put on 1-5 lbs on me. I think that each woman is different, so it is a hard question to answer, but at the end of the day some water weight is not unusual, and drinking more water can help.

Tom doesnt really hinder my weight loss(not that ive noticed) but I never paid attention to the scale as much as I am now. So ill really have to see.

I worked out five times this week. I feel great about that!!!!

OMG! I lost 2 pounds in 1 day!

Maybe my scale is wrong, because that seems a little suspect to me. I know that people on the larger side, like myself can drop weight fast in the beginning, but I want to stay in a healthy range. Has anyone else experienced losing 2 lbs overnight?
